    Bloody , not well
    Meredith B.

This used to be one of my favorite spots. In fact, I had recommended it to several people. Sadly, I was sorely disappointed today. Made my Resy reservation for lunch.... My check was close to $101 plus tip, just for myself. The waiter,Frederico was doing his job like a robot. I ordered the filet mignon. Specifically answered "well". Came bloody.... The waiter was busy with his coworkers so it was a while before I could tell him. He never said a word about the steak. No apology, nothing. Just took the plate, with the mostly uneaten filet mignon. Lacking customer service.. Food a disappointment. Dessert was ok. Manager passed by (I did not ask for the manager) she apologized and comped the dessert. I paid full price for the filet. I thanked her for the free desert. Not sure I will be coming back, much less recommending Narbona in the grove again.

Came here for a birthday request. Place was crowded but service was on point. Prices are high but the quality is good. The pizza is real Neapolitan from an authentic Italian oven. Very good. A single pizza is $25 for one. Simple ragu with fettuccini was almost $30. $5 dollars for a 6 oz lemonade and $5 dollars for a refill. The focaccia was good and they only give you one piece per person. Service was really good we were constantly being surveyed and attended to. Based on the service I bumped it to four stars from a three star review. Not the restaurants fault but parking on the weekend in Coco a walk is $16 flat rate whether you're there for five minutes or five hours. They should work out some type of a validation system for those who actually dine in for a discounted price on parking. So mixed reviews but know what you're getting into before you come here.

Friendly staff with outstanding service and food! We are100% coming back it was that good! Prices are pretty good for the amount of food you receive and the quality it's all made in house from the pastes to the pizzas and more! They have a great selection of wines and champagnes from all price ranges. Made me feel like I was in little Italy hehe Ambiance felt romantic and the dimmed lights helped with that in the restaurant. Parking is easy to find because you can park in the main garage and it's right down stairs from the main Coconut Groove garage. Highly recommend to anyone!

We dined at Narbona in Coconut Grove with friends during a brief stay in Miami. Our experience at the restaurant was consistent with the online average score. On a Tuesday night, it wasn't that busy, yet service lagged due to service of a very large group nearby. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco for the table, which was self-service after the initial pour. Entrees included the chicken parm, crab ravioli, and a couple of picanha gauchas. The pastas were generally slightly undercooked, a bit too al dente. The steaks were served as ordered, but not very tender. The steak knives did not help, a bit dull, made cutting the steaks a challenge. A couple of trufata narbonas for dessert ended the evening... balls of pistachios gelato, covered with crushed pistachios and covered with dulce de leche... a great finish! Narbona could improve, but still a good meal. Nice gelato and specialty food shop in the back! Recommend.

The food was great and plate licking good! The guava sauce and dulce leche whipped creme were unique- the waffles themselves weren't anything special but the dish was good. The mussels were really good. Needs more bread to slop off all the sauce!! The coffee is the best. The ambiance is really comfy and enjoyed

    Mediocre Albariño

Really??? I can't believe how packed this place always is and how bad it is. Is it just me but wtf is wrong with restaurants and the quality of food???????? I am out with my husband for a day at the Grove and really really wanted this meal to be good. We've come by several times, seen the lines but never coincided until today. All I can wonder is how this place is even open? Sure, it's pretty. But that's about it . The bread? Hard. Appetizer was something with orange slices and beets - super blah. The milanesa? Undercooked. The French fries ? Undercooked- the wine ( Albariño) mediocre. We ate it because it's 3:00, we were starving and frankly, I'm so tired of complaining. So I come back to my question: how are they still open??????

    Stracciatela/cookies and cream

We only went for the gelato and it was outstanding!!! Growing up in my hometown, we would always go to this restaurant that had authentic italian food and gelato and this was probably 10 years ago and going here brought all those memories back!! Highly recommend the stracciatela!!!

I love Narbona and make sure to stop in whenever I'm in Coconut Grove. Whether you're starting your day with an almond croissant and coffee, keeping it going with a great sandwich, treating yourself to macarons or gelato (or both!), or taking home the ingredients for a great meal, you can't go wrong here. DEFINITELY try their pizza, cooked right there in a free-standing brick oven. This Narbona is also a great place to relax after work with a glass of wine and a light supper. The waitstaff is efficient and friendly. All-in-all a very refined place to relax and recharge!

I was really nervous to try this restaurant out. It is always busy and it is located at a popular destination in Coconut Grove and so I'm always hesitant spots that are not hidden gems. I came Lakewood night. It was one of the only restaurants that was open, but I was happy to die in. The Staff was really friendly and seated me right away. I did order a veal carpaccio was which was delicious. I also ordered the Bronzino, which I thought was a little bit on the dryer sign. I would come back. The only thing is is that it was pricey for the portions that I received.

    Short rib empanada
    Jaquie M.

The "best empanada" as the menu suggests is not quite the best imo. It was a bit dry and needed some flavor. I asked for chimichurri sauce and it took a bit to get it. The seating outside was lovely and breezy. The gelato is always a must. The Dubai chocolate and banana caramel were delish.

Came hear for a late lunch w my mom on friday. We started off w the carpaccio which was alright, it was missing flavor imo maybe salt pepper? the rosemary bread was good maybe missing some salt tho as well. For mains i got the half chicken, honestly the star of the show, a very hearty meal i was extremely satisfied. The chicken is seasoned well and comes w 2 sides: fries and the house salad which paired nicely. I also poured the chimichurri on top delectable. My mom got a steak cut she wasn't too satisfied with it was a little chewy but she enjoyed my chicken! For dessert, they have a gelato bar within the restaurant, and we ordered it tableside from our server, you need to try the dates and walnut gelato and pistachio. A lovely combo! Overall, the service was lovely, a little slow but we went at an odd hour. The locale is cute it's in the corner of cocowalk and served as a market/ restaurant and the restaurant is very trafficked bc of the gelato stand inside, good for people watching lots of kids and families coming in but can be a little overstimulating. Overall, a lovely time perfect for a casual lunch!

    Crab ravioli with shrimp
    John W.

This was our second time at Narbona. The first time we can with friends and had a fun experience. This time we had shrimp and crab ravioli, skirt steak and fries, and a few drinks. Everything was very good. I definitely recommend the skirt steak. Tends to be a lot of families (it is The Grove), but it's still a great time. We didn't have room for dessert, but there are some good options.

They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one. The food prep area behind the bar is quite small (which is why they don't have a large menu), but so is this little gem of a wine spot in general. It's cozy, eclectic and great for a glass of wine and a small snack, or a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere. It's good for singles at the bar, or an intimate spot for couples and smaller groups. Vinoteca seems to have found their niche, and they've filled it quite nicely. That said, I'm not sure the staff, at least the ones working on the nights we've come, have a lot of knowledge about wines or are in the position to talk at length about their various selections.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.

I asked for it to be removed from the bill and declined a replacement. The manager, Fabian, came over but did not seem very understanding or accommodating. Stating they always clean their clams and that he would see with the kitchen. While the dish was removed, the issue didn't feel properly acknowledged. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I likely will not return. I have been to many restaurants and asked for this same dish and never had to crunch on sand

It was incredibly fresh, perfectly fried, and full of flavor. Tuna Tacos: These were the star of the show--absolutely amazing! Conch Fritters: Delicious and seasoned just right. Baby Back Ribs: These were just okay; good, but they didn't quite hit the heights of the seafood. Drinks & Atmosphere The cocktails were fantastic and well-crafted. Beyond the food, the vibe is what really makes this place special. It's a very "pretty" location with great waterfront views, making it a perfect backdrop for a meal. It is also very family-friendly, so it's a great choice for bringing the whole crew along. Great seafood, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit! The beef carpaccio was super fresh and perfectly balanced. The skirt steak? So good and tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. But the standout for me was the tuna tostones... obsessed. And the manchego croquetas were the perfect bite. Definitely one of those spots where you want to order a little of everything and share. We'll 100% be back!

They accommodated our party of eight flawlessly, and to top it off, we even had live music on a Wednesday night. This place is such an incredible wine place with tons of amazing bottles and varieties to choose from. You basically shop around the space, pick out your own wine, and bring it back to the table for your server to open and serve. Everything is organized by region and the prices vary so you can easily find something that fits your taste and budget. Every staff member we encountered was fantastic, and everything we ate and drank was just as good. We started with a red Pinot noir bottle we loved so much that we ended up ordering three more for the table. For food, we ordered several dishes to share: The Marinated Olives which i didn't try these because I'm not an olive person. The Bacon Wrapped Plantains which was such a unique combo, and surprisingly delicious. The Local Burrata which was absolutely delicious. I've never met a pan con burrata I didn't like. The Manchego Croquetas were my absolutely favorite. manchego is one of my favorite cheeses, so I already knew I'd love this. Perfectly balanced, not greasy at all, crispy on the outside, melty and creamy on the inside. The honey sauce on the side was the perfect touch. We also got the Steak Frites & Chicken to share which was super tender, flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy, just how I love them. They were out of the yuca bravas, so we couldn't try these but they sound phenomenal. And we couldn't chose what desssert we wanted so we went with all three. The flourless chocolate cake with icecream, the key like tres leche and the guava tiramisu. Alll delicious !! And lastly , i have to highlight Thalia, our server. She was exceptional! Truly a five-star experience for our first visit. She handled our group of eight with ease, was always on top of refills without us having to ask, knew the menu inside and out, and gave amazing recommendations. She made the whole night even better. Can't wait to come back especially for lunch since she mentioned they have great lunch specials. This spot is definitely a new favorite,

It's cute, moody, but not over done so perfect for date night or girls night. All their wines are great and you can't beat the price at $9 a glass. They recently extended the happy hour from 6pm to 7pm which I'm glad!! Now the food - I have never had a bad item from here. I will forever talk about their bacon wrapped dates (not pictured). And this trip I absolutely fell in love with the spinach cheese dip. My one complaint is why does it only come with three toasties? I had to ask for more, which they gladly accommodated me - and the same with the guys next to me. But if you're bringing me a whole bowl of deliciousness, I need more than three toasties with it!!!

The restaurant is nestled within the back of the on-site building and you get the vibe as soon as your eyes glance to its entrance. As you're being directed to your table, it feels like you're in Spain and dining in a Spanish wine cellar. The decor is beautiful and the food is authentic Spanish. I'll put this place up against the best NYC Spanish restaurant, any day. I started with a glass of Red Sangria and it was SO GOOD! Served with lots of fruit, this drink was smooth and I had to remind Esteban, our fine Server, to not remove my fork, so I can enjoy the sangria smothered fruit, afterwards. We started with Ham Croquettes and Meatballs. I cannot commend these appetizers, enough. The croquettes were exquisitely soft, the outer breading was thin enough that it wasn't crunchy, and the seasoning was delectable. The meatballs were just as good as the croquettes and that sauce was mouth-watering good. The entree just kept getting better. We shared the Churrasco entree (Angus skirt steak and grilled vegetables). The steak was already sliced, the meat was succulent, savory, and a dream to enjoy. The vegetables were lightly charred and were just as devine as the rest of the items. If you're into Spanish food, please give El Carajo a chance to satisfy your appetite. You will be in for a memorable meal and return for more.
