The girl that serve my cranberry vodka honestly I could not taste the vodka at all, and I did not go back to let her know I tip well, so I think they should consider for alcoholic drinks to make them so that you taste the alcohol and you get what you pay for. I love one particular area below where they have a net hanging, and people can lay on it looking at the bay. That's amazing. Unintentionally to our surprise, stumbled across regatta Grove after attending an event at The Hangar. If you're from Fort Lauderdale, regatta Grove is very similar to The Wharf. That being, it is an outside open space bar hangout area. It is full of a lot of young adults, including many college students that attend the university of Miami. The group chose the Spritz Experience for $325 all-in, which included two bottles of bubbly, Aperol, and a variety pack of San Pellegrino sodas. I opted to hop between the main and satellite bar, ordering three cocktails, and $50 later, I could've aced a field sobriety test, including the Breathalyzer add‑on. The satellite bar staff had no idea how to make a Rosemary Gin Fizz, a signature cocktail on their own menu. The bartender looked miffed that I ordered it, then had the gonads to grant herself a 25% tip. I had a great time at the Bayshore Club Bar & Grill while visiting Miami for a work trip. When my Uber first pulled into the parking lot, I was not quite sure where the heck I was being taken, due to the large parking lot filled with cars and then the boat dry dock shelves filled with boats. My group and I walked up to the boat shelves and just to the right is the club. And it is quite massive, with multiple bars, seating areas, and food trucks (you can order food that is delivered to your table via QR codes on the table). The music was a touch loud, but I think my group just picked a table that was directly under a speaker. There was a martini special when we arrived (1/2 price), and everyone tried the expresso martini (so good!). I also had a pineapple mojito, that I think tops the martini. Regatta Grove is located right on the water near the marina in Coconut Grove and sits adjacent to its more classy and refined neighbor, the Bayshore Club. Regatta Grove tends to have younger clientele, is often very busy and has more of a party atmosphere vs. Bayshore. We came here relatively early (for this place, anyway) on a Saturday night, wanting to watch the last part of a Heat game and have a beverage. Our dog was welcome here, they had a DJ spinning, we found a few open stools at the bar and were waited on right away. If bar seating hadn't been available, there are a number of high top tables and even couch seating with clear views of the TVs. While I like Regatta Grove, the 2 potential drawbacks are: 1) Parking. With the 2 bar/restaurants + The Hangar, patrons of the marina, Miami City Hall and even Monty's all vying for the same spaces, sometimes the search for available parking can take a while. 2) The line to get into this place when it's really busy, especially on weekend evenings, can be incredibly long. read more

The woman at the front was extremely rude. Right away, she told me I didn't have a reservation, but a confirmation (which is the most retarded thing I have ever heard) a "confirmation of a confirmation " and she made no effort to help. She rolled her eyes and made faces, which was very unprofessional. I'm honestly not sure why she is the first person guests interact with. I walked around to understand the situation and asked the bartenders, who told me that reservations weren't needed and that seating was self-serve in certain areas. I then spoke with the manager, who brought me back to the front--where I had to deal with the same hostess again. When I asked why a reservation was necessary despite many open tables, she laughed and said, "Oh, is this your first time here?" before finally explaining and with this I proceed to seat my party. Okay, I have to be honest... I cannot be the only one still missing The Wharf? This spot is what replaced it, and while it is definitely a cool place to hang out and bring people visiting Miami, it just does not hit the same. It is not bad, not at all, but it is also never going to be The Wharf. I do like the layout. Similar to The Wharf, there are different stations depending on your vibe. You can sit at the bar, head into the louder area where the music is going, find a hammock near the water to chill in peace, play some ping pong, or sit under the shade with some food and a drink. The space is versatile, and that is a nice touch. But still... The Wharf had something else. It felt more open, more Miami. You would sit and watch the boats roll in and see someone literally step off their yacht into the crowd like it was no big deal. That felt very true to the city. Regatta has more of a backyard or playground feel. And while I get the idea, a place where people can bring their kids while still enjoying a drink, I think they overdid it a little. It feels like they leaned too far in that direction and lost a bit of the energy that made The Wharf feel so alive. Now let me talk about my biggest complaint, which is sadly not even new. Same issue The Wharf had, and it continues here: the bartenders. I genuinely do not understand how there can be thirty people waiting for drinks, and they are still moving like they have all the time in the world. One cocktail at a time, no urgency, no smile, barely any energy. It gives off serious "I hate this job" energy, and unfortunately, it shows. Also, just a heads up, this is not a place to close out your night. Around eleven, it dies out completely. Most people head to the clubs, and you are left there standing around, wondering what happened to the party. That said, if you are looking for a daytime spot with drinks, a view, and a relaxed setting to bring out-of-towners, it still works. They have a large main bar and several other smaller bar areas and food stands. The music is delivered by an onsite DJ who spins absolutely phenomenal music the whole night. We hosted an event (30 people) at Regatta Grove and had an amazing experience!! Kellie, the Events Manager, was so great to work with and made everything easy. It was so fun to pick a bunch of different items from their catering menus and have a great variety for our guests - everyone raved about the food and we were able to cater to a bunch of different diets with interesting things (like lychee watermelon salad and Australian Jaffles). The ambiance was absolutely perfect- perched on a gorgeous deck overlooking the marina, close enough to the DJ to enjoy the music but far enough to be able to have conversations. It was nice but not super secure, as random people kept trying to sneak into our area to use the open bar. Beautifully located along the Miami bay, Regatta Grove had the perfect amount of gorgeous setting and free flowing fun. Ubering to the venue is easy but finding you Uber on pickup may prove difficult as there are A LOT of Ubers picking people up from the area. We arrived to find an absolutely huge line extending well down the road, an absolute nightmare if you feel like spending the night waiting on it. Fortunately we are not patient and walked to the front of the line where people were swarming to have a chance to get in. The process, or lack thereof, for getting in was messy. In the place's defense it was the night of U Miami's graduation so it very well could not be like this often at all. People were being let in pretty arbitrarily and our group of 3 despite being next to each other the entire time, were let in one by one. Either way, this didn't have much of an impact on the night as once we were in the vibe and setting were fantastic. Ordering a drink isn't very difficult as there are many bars and service is pretty quick. There's also food vendors at the venue in case you find yourself wanting a snack between vodka crans. Since there's a nice breeze blowing in from the bay and it's outdoors in general, there's none of the hot, humid feeling of being in an overcrowded bar despite how packed the place is. The music was also good and many people were dancing. Touching specifically on the drinks, our first round was strong but the subsequent rounds tasted much better. It was a great night and although you may feel like you're trying to get on the final lifeboat off the Titanic when you enter, we would say this is a great spot to spend a Friday night out with friends. read more
