Also they left my stairs sopping wet and it literally took two days for my stairs to dry thoroughly. I will never use them again. I booked Zerorez with mixed expectations. They say "empowered water" does the job, but no details of exactly what that "empowered water" is. The man showed up with a machine that he said costs $15000, and would do a scrub of the carpet which is something nobody else has. OK, so far... So he sprays, then scrubs, then uses the regular water and vacuum line like other carpet cleaners. I have three areas on my light cream carpet that are stained from stuff pulled out from the under-carpet layer. They started off as gravy spill, which I shampoo'd using my full-sized Bissell. Probably put too much cleaning fluid down and as a result, sucked up stuff that was not supposed to be sucked up from the under-carpet. Anyway, I was told that was not going to be a problem. The day after the job was done, the stains were back in their original intensity. I called and they scheduled another visit. This time the man comes in with a spray bottle in his hand and he goes around and sprays just the spots from a standing position. No vacuuming, no shampooing. He tells me to make sure I vacuum the spots tomorrow after they have dried. So much for zero residue. That stuff he put on would have dried into something that had to be vacuumed to be safe for me and my dog to walk over. The stuff lightened up the stains, but since he didn't do the rest of the carpet, the whole job looks like a mess. I'm giving this company 2 stars because they are responsive on the phone and are polite and flexible as far as booking. As far as their cleaning, their empowered water obviously doesn't do the job and they had to use something that left a residue without telling me what it actually was. They don't move or life furniture, not even a tiny fan I had in the corner of the room. They even didn't bother to move the fan cord. They just shampoo'd around everything. They advertise zero residue, hence the name zerorez, but it is far from it for an effective job -- and they do not do an effective or a complete job. read more

Wouldn't honor the $139 carpet cleaning as stated in the banner of this page, and their Pet Treatment is misleading, as it states deep cleaning but they wanted to charge $460 more than they gave us an estimate for. My fiancé and I just bought our first home and all of the carpet needed to be cleaned. Our Zerorez technician called about 30 minutes in advance and took him about 2 1/2 hours to finish 6 rooms and the stairway. We had Zerorez clean our carpets. They left the carpets sopping wet. It took over twelve hours to dry. Our floor was left wrinkled as well. I contacted Zerorez and even sent pictures. Their response was I need to hire a carpet stretching company to fix the issue. We weren't told this could be an issue. Their work, which I paid for, will cost me much more to fix. Zerorez has no interest in standing behind their work. We will never use them again and tell everyone of our friends to find a more reputable company. I recently had zerorez do both my downstairs and upstairs carpets and some furniture. Both appointments they came for they were on time and called to let me know they were on the way. They do quality work quickly which was impressive. Very professional from making the appointment to the job being done. They brought life back to some furniture that had been in storage a while and to a white carpet that I wasn't sure they could restore. The pricing for zerorez is pretty equivalent to the other guys but you get so much more for your money knowing it's all natural and safe for my child & pets. The carpet looks amazing right now and the technician (Mark) was very professional and thorough. I'd definitely give him 5 stars. I just had zerorez come and clean my carpets. I gave a 3 for a couple of reasons. The special was not explained correctly to me,prior to the appointment. I thought it was going to be a certain price and it changed. It did come in lower than my budget though. So I guess that's all good? The worker hit my wall and the frame of a collectible plate fell off and broke. He took some money off of the bottom line. They do not give paper receipts at the time of service. I paid cash. As a consumer,that makes me very uncomfortable. Says they will send a receipt in 2 to 3 days. That's NOT cool to me. Not sure I'm pleased with the cleaning yet. I will check back and edit my review later. The worker was very nice and respectful but not sure I would recommend them at this point. read more

This is the second time I have had them clean my carpets and both times they have done a great job. Jay was great to work with and tested my dining room chairs' fabric from a couple of strings that I was able to pull from under the seat and determined that their system could clean them. I told him the quote the gal in the office had given me over the phone and he added that to the carpet quote and showed me the total before he started so I would not be surprised. Both the carpet and my four chairs look great. Jay was very thorough and all dried quickly. You do have your door open for their hoses while they are here, so if the weather is really cold beware of that. Now a problem as it was one of our warmer Jan. days and no wind. read more

It's obvious that whomever "Boyd" is, he has taken his grandfather's invention and apparently is sucking the funds created... dry. He's not running the company with a "Tinker's Damn"! Two months ago I tried to set an appointment online....left all my contact information and the response was something like "we'll call you to set up an appointment". Never heard anything from that experience. About 3 weeks ago I decided to try and set an appointment on the phone but no one answered....except a message from Boyd saying to leave a message. Which I did ... asking for them to do my carpets last week (9/05 or 9/06/07). Well, guess what? No response to that one either! Not one to give up so easily I called them on 9/04 and guess what? Not only were my carpets not going to be cleaned as I requested in the message I was asked to leave the previous week, but now I'd have to wait another week. Until 9/12...today....from 1-3PM. Well, since I never got a reconfirmation message and since it was then 230PM I called to find out what was happening. The person answering the phone first asked, "What state are you calling from?" What state!!! Anyway, she found my appointment information and said she would contact the "technician". His name was Robert and he called me at 3PM saying he would be here in 30-45 minutes......that would have been 345PM at the latest. Well, guess what? At 430PM I tried calling Robert on his ZeroRez cell phone and he didn't answer. (425-530-7330) I then called the ZeroRez appointment phone at 432PM and got a message from "Boyd" saying to leave a message........... Today, Wednesday, 25 November 2009, the day before Thanksgiving, I had an appointment between 2-5 p.m. to have my carpet cleaned. I took the day off work without pay, a Furlough Day, loosing $446 dollars in pay. I spent last night moving furniture and this morning vacuuming and cleaning. My wife was out of town and this was to have been a surprise for her. I was called at 12:59 pm and a voice message was left on my cell phone and home phone while I was vacuming. I was told the truck had broken down and may not get to me today. I was asked was I willing to reschedule for next Tuesday. When I heard the voice mesages and returned the calls at 1:30 pm I was told the truck was broken down and could not get to me today and they were willing to reschedule next Tuesday. I said that I could be available anytime today even at night if they could get the truck fixed. They said no and that no other truck was available until next week. I told the young lady who answered the phone that if their company really wanted to, they would fix the truck and get it out here today even if it was tonight. I am very suspicious when on the afternoon before Thanksgiving Day that the truck just happens to pick that day and time to break down. It worked fine in the morning. Did staff just want to head home for the holiday early! Thursday, 26 November 2009..... As I have considered this problem more, I recall that this is not the first time that ZeroRez of Seattle has canceled an appointment with me. So, I am adding the following comments to the ones I made yesterday above. Now I suspect that the problem was not that the truck broke down, but a business decision was made to avoid sending the truck and driver to Bonney Lake (Pierce County) from the ZeroRez in Bellevue/Redmond (King County) for a $120 carpet cleaning job. They would have had to drive 40 minutes each way at the best of times. On the afternoon before Thanksgiving Day, this travel time could have easily doubled. Since the franchise agreement with ZeroRez Corporation probably requires ZeroRez of Seattle to provide their service to my area, I suspect it is not a violation of the franchise agreement to just claim their truck had broken down so they were unable to provide this service! While it is too late to regain my business, I suggest the following remedies for other ZeroRez customers in Pierce County: 1. Allow another franchise agreement to be sold that provides service in Pierce County. Allow ZeroRez of Seattle to keep King County exclusively as I assume they have already. 2. Only schedule Pierce County jobs in the morning so afternoon south bound rush hour traffic from King County into Pierce County is avoided. This rush hour traffic jam is steadily getting worse as populations increase. It is at it's worst on Fridays and the day before holidays. 3. Dedicate the truck to Pierce County for a full day, including afternoons, so the return trip is against traffic. Cancelling appointments should never be an option because: 1. Of the impacts on customers, such as I have explained above for myself; 2. Negative impact on ZeroRez corporation reputation; and 3. Negative comments and complaints to the Better Business Bureau and online websites dedicated to pointing out poor business practices locally such as YELP. read more

The technician was effective, efficient and polite in delivering a really great product! From putting on shoe covers before stepping into my home initially to clearly explaining the process to concisely detailing my estimate to clearing out at the end, the experience was made more productive by technician Mark! I had three rooms of carpet cleaned, and the process even positively affected a 3 year d coffee stain which had previously dictated furniture placement in order to hide the stain! **This is an update to my original review-see below. The owner called and explained more clearly about their process, goals, and service expectations. He took action to remedy my situation and learned from this experience to improve service going forward. I told him I am moving and will try his service again on new carpet and report back on how it went. I am impressed by his follow up and mission of their company. Old review: I expected so much from this company after hearing the ad on 105.3 and reading reviews. It was more like a rinse than a clean AND they left behind many bleached spots. Apparently, if you use Zerorez on a carpet that had been spot cleaned with Resolve the chemical reaction leaves a hideous bleach stain. We were never asked if we used Resolve on the carpet in the past and were never told of the potential risk to the carpet. It wasn't until after the cleaning and the damage was done that the technician said oops, sorry about that, you must have used Resolve in the past. I provided feedback to the company but have never received a response. read more

We have cream colored carpet! Who puts in cream colored carpet?! To say it was dirty is an understatement. It was disgusting. They took care of the entire upstairs and the stairs and grammas 100 year old velveteen couch. We didn't know it was sea foam blue until it was cleaned. Two weeks later the carpet IS STILL CLEAN! No spots have reappeared like having it done with chemical carpet cleaners. The crew was awesome, respectful of my home and very polite! We will be having them back every six months! read more

The Zerorez team came out again this week and did another outstanding job. My very old carpets and hardwood floors look and feel so much better. They were on time, explained the process, protected the corners of the walls from the hoses. I love how the carpets don't feel crunchy and we don't have that soapy smell. all the pet stains are gone, which is always a miracle This time I had them treat my hardwood floors. Wow! the blond wood shines again and I couldn't believe how much dirt came out of the flooring. For a brief second I was embarrassed with the disgusting water in the tank, but that didn't last long. We would have given Zerorez five stars except for the dispatcher I called for an updated arrival time of our tech. She was rude, argumentative and ultimately hung up on me! I worked with Katy and Diane to schedule the appointment, which was about two weeks out. Both of these agents were pleasant and professional. The tech arrived at 6:40pm, 40 minutes outside of the 4 hour window for arrival. Christian was apologetic for the delay. He explained everything, had a perfect understanding of what we wanted. He was professional, honest, cheerful, and did an amazing job on our carpets! They are super clean and they look, smell and feel great! He left about 830 pm. We will request an earlier appointment in the future, but will definitely use Zerorez again. read more

I made an appointment 2 weeks ago and did so with the knowledge that I had to work on the day of the carpet cleaning. I was assured I would be given the first appointment of the day so I could make it to work. Two days before the appointment, we got a generalized text that the appointment would be between 10:00am and 3:00pm, which would not work. I tried to call back but received a recording that someone would call me right back. Later that evening, I spoke with someone who said they don't promise appointments and she would look up my initial call (asked for the number I called from) as if I was lying. She said she would call me right back. She also informed me if I canceled on the day of the cleaning, I would be charged $50. I tried to explain that I needed to work on that day and someone had promised I could have the first appointment or I wouldn't have made the appointment. The following day, I left another message (as no one called me back) and spoke to Diane. She saw my notes, that I needed the first appointment, but still no promises could be made. I CANCELED my appointment. A BIG waste of my time! I felt like they were calling me a liar when they saw the notes in the computer. They lost my business. read more

Had Zerorez come out and clean our carpets back in December, 2016. The response to my appointment was very quick. We had our family room and 2 other rooms cleaned. Everything looked great even though we did have to have the tech come back out to remove spots from the family room carpet. Fast forward to today, been trying to get a hold of company for past week. Initially called and talked to Heidi. Explained that family room carpet is dirty and considering we had carpet treated with stain fighter, we walk around house with bare feet and have a house cleaner every 2 weeks, carpet still got dirty. I wanted to find out what company's policy was (guarantee, coming back to clean just this one room, etc). but somehow no one can seem to contact me even though Heidi told me someone would, after leaving a VM, and finally trying to leave another VM today only to be cut off mid sentence. Also, you'll sit on hold for a while-maybe someone will answer or you'll end up hanging up like i did on several occasions. Like i previously mentioned, initial call back for new appointment was very quick. Follow up stinks however. read more

First guy did not do a test to check if it is nylon second guy came in and smeared the stains third guy came in and started stating that our carpet is old and the stains would never come out . Things don't always go perfectly, but what counts is a service provider that will stand behind their product. That is exactly what Zerorez did for me. Originally they were delayed more than two hours beyond my confirmed appointment on a day I could not be delayed. After writing a negative review, the owner Anthony contacted me and arranged another appointment which he would personally come out and make sure it was done on time. I appreciated that. When he came out, my carpet had a weird reaction to the cleaning and turned an orangy color. Once again, Anthony assured me he would make it right. He came back with a different pH mixture and cleaned my carpet once again. Low and behold, the orangeyness went away and my carpets looked great! I know the world is not perfect. I know my carpets are very old and probably made differently than modern carpeting. What I got was a wonderful reaction to a challenging situation. THEY STOOD BEHIND THEIR SERVICE UNTIL IT WAS DONE RIGHT. You can bet that the only company I will ever have clean my carpet in the future is Zerorez.
