Update: I went back and this time, got the ube milkshake and elotes with cajun fries. The ube shake was great & creamy, but the lighting in the store doesn't quite do it justice, washing out the purple. What's the point of that?!? I came for the pics, so does that mean I have to bring my own lighting?? Smh. I might have to bring a whole setup next time I go. On top of that, ube isn't ube unless it looks so purple that if you don't know any better, it might seem poisonous. Jokes aside, I love ube, and would probably think about getting it again once I try other flavors and split cups. I think the shake actually was super purple, but we went after sundown so it looked a bit less so. My friend got a strawberry peach and it was pretty dang red and pretty dang good too. Refreshing af. Continued the theme of flavors I don't usually like (peach) and making them into a drink I like! Somehow zero degrees is magical like that. We also forgot to ask for boba because we're illiterate science and social science grads and can't read menus unless they're only pictures. Elotes were pretty good, I like the taste, but some people said they use canned corn to make it. Tbh it's not a huge deal for me. It was good anyway, but a tiny bit watery. Nbd though. the cajun fries tho...THE CAJUN FRIES THO. ABSOLUTELY pretty good. I liked em, they paired well with the elotes. Very nice. Still 3 stars because we illiterates need more pics on the menu, especially ones that tell us to specifically order boba. We also need a special corner where the lighting is perfect to take pics of the drinks. Maybe a drink photo booth? Things are also slightly pricey, but you can't blame a ~trendy~ place for it. Besides the Cajun fries, the rest of the food was OK, but nothing I'd go out of my way to get again. Maybe as I try more things, that'll change. So far, the popcorn chicken is on top. Saw this out of the corner of my eye a month ago passing by and googled it once I got home. What can I say, I was intrigued, I love a good mangonada. Ordered inside for takeout. Establishment is clean and staff was very friendly and patient as I looked over the menu. It is an odd mix to say the least but I kinda wanted to try everything. Settled on carne asada fries,elotes, chicharrones and garlic butter popcorn chicken. Let me say first the food was a 3. It was not terrible but could have been much better. The star of the show was definitely the drinks! I ordered a mangonada which is my go to at any fruiteria. This one was delicious as expected. I paid an extra $1 for the tamarind straw because it adds to it for me. My daughter had the strawberry horchata and she said it was awesome. I don't think I would go out of my way for the food but the drinks are worth a stop. read more

The employees were very friendly. The watermelon slush I ordered was delicious. I saw many people getting drinks that looked really good. I also had the carne asada fries. I was extremely disappointed. I was only able to eat a couple bites because it tasted horrible. The rest went in the trash. There was also a really sour taste to the cheese and the asada seemed almost more like ground meat tid bits. It was underwhelming and before I started eating it, it didn't look like 9 bucks worth. All of of other reviews on this restaurant are true. My fiancée and I tried Zero Degrees for our date night tonight. We got there at about 7:35 and finally placed our order at 7:57. We each got a drink, and a food item. This is where it really got interesting. They give you a buzzer to come pick up your food, but buzz you up for each individual item. About 10 minutes later and we were buzzed up to get my fiancées drink. Another 5 minutes or so go by and we get buzzed for my drink. We wait another 15 minutes before being buzzed to pick up my fiancées food - a chicken tender basket. It was at this time that I'm told my order - carne asada fries were made incorrectly, and that they'll be right back out. Cue another 20 minute wait until they come back out with my food - still made incorrectly. How do you mess up carne asada fries?? Do not plan on coming here for food because it'll take forever and is over priced. The drinks here were the only saving grace. If I could have, I would have given Zero Degrees, Zero Stars. read more

Okay so this review is a tricky one to do. I've ordered from here many times but it was always delivery, so take this with a grain or two of salt: The food is ALWAYS soggy and cold by the time it gets to me. This may be the delivery service, but it happens every time (and I've tried four different times). The Cajun fries are gross. They are powdery and flavorless. I want to like them so bad, but I just can't do it. The tea, however, is AMAZING. I would rate the tea 5 stars. I love adding lychee jellies to whatever tea I order. I've tried several and they are all amazing. The strawberry chia with peach is my favorite! This place might just be better to eat at in person when the food is fresh, but after trying four times I can't say I'm itching to get food again. The menu is straight forward and a few options to pick from. It feels semi overpriced, but comparable to other trendy food places. It got a 4 from me mainly because their drinks do not disappoint. Every drink I saw served was just as well made as the one before it! They go real big on look and flavor. The food isn't bad. The options are enough and flavorful. My popcorn chicken wasn't all just small skin bites, and the bbq sauce is really good with a kick of spice! The elotes are real good, they get corn with flavor of its own and add cheese and mayo! How can you go wrong? They have options to make it spicy with flamin hot Cheeto dust for those who like it spicy. The carne asada fries looked huge. My friend and I were out on our outing when I needed to have a nice good drink. My friend told me about this new place, Zero Degrees. We decided to go and check it out. It was packed inside and the line was long, and I studied the menu. Food wasn't on the agenda for me, but the drinks were. Mango filled with spicy? Nah. Watermelon? No. Cookie dough? I can get that anywhere. Ube? My friend was all go for it. Strawberry with lychee? What was that? So I decided on the ube milkshake. And it tasted as good and sweet as the picture. All purple smoothie, whipped cream, and marshmallows. A drink that would be suitable for kids and grown-ups alike. Ordering online was easy, and the food was ready when we arrived to pick it up! While a little confused by the menu, one may call it unique! I have never been to a place where they served Boba, Carne Asada Fries, and Garlic Noodles with Beef? But what can I say, it works! We had the Shrimp and Garlic Butter fries and they were delicious! And we also has the Beef with Garlic Noodles, which was equally satisfying. Portions are also huge! We got a combo which included a (pretty large) bubble tea drink with each, and it was a great deal. More than anything, the drinks were the highlight of the mean (get the Lychee slush...so good). I've been back many time since my first time and I really like this place even more. I usually get the chicken strips and they are amazing. I love to get it with a side of Buffalo or garlic butter to dip it in. Portions are generous and the thai tea also always bomb. The owner and people who work there are also really nice. We have been looking forward to trying out Zero Degrees for some time now. The staff was friendly and our drinks came out super quick. We were really impressed with the drinks! The food on the other hand was a huge disappointment. I ordered regular fries with my meal and received fries with absolutely no salt and dripping in oil. My husband got Cajun fries and honey bbq popcorn shrimp. Cajun fries had no flavor and the chicken was very dry. They also didn't give us any of the sauces we ordered. Ordered a lot of things to try and half was pretty bad. The elotes is made with the cheap freezer type corn which was a hard texture? It's not plump kernels so yuck. Though they weren't skimpy with the sauces, it couldn't mask the hard chew. I want to love this place. I've been to other locations and did! This location literally and figuratively leaves a bad taste in my mouth. A) I almost always get the tiger sugar milk (milk with brown sugar boba to create stripes). When they first opened this drink was always perfect. But the last couple of times, it has been lack luster. Boba has been incredibly chewy/hard and there is noticeably a lot less of it. I'm not down to pay 5.25 for a cup of milk with 10 leftover boba pearls floating in it. AND the worst of it, one time my drink SMELLED AND TASTED sour so I go in to let them know. While they eventually reimbursed me and gave me a free drink, they did give me a bit of a hard time. They kept trying to convince me the expiration date on the carton was correct. Great... thanks... but milk can still go bad before that so b) that drink I got reimbursed with also left a bad taste in my mouth. Can't remember the exact name but I think it was some sort of mango green tea with basil? Don't get me wrong it tasted great, but i didn't appreciate that they chopped up the basil so finely and put so much of it. It basically felt like i was drinking a salad... Not a good mouthfeel for a drink c) their food sounds good in theory but honestly it's just an oily mess. Chicken? dry. Fries? too thin so you're basically eating hollow oil vessels. BBQ chicken wings and garlic chicken wings were nice and crispy like I like it. The bbq had a light spice to it and wasn't overloaded with sauce where you couldn't enjoy the meat itself. I loved the garlic wings the best. As for their drinks they all looked good but I tried the Mangonado which is a smoothie with chunks of fresh mangos mixed in, delicious! The wait was long though so be patient if your coming at dinner time because it ran about 40 min with waiting in line ordering then waiting for food. I should have actually written this last week, but just moved. The response from Zero today reminded me! I just wanted to say that I have been back 2 more times and they have improved significantly. I believe they listened to everyone's reviews from when they opened. The food comes out at a good time, they bring the food to your table now, and we made sure not to get the chicken too spicy this time haha! I came back because the boba is just too good and I was pleasantly surprised! Went back again two days after. I think this place will do well and it's always nice when you see a place improve. Truly disappointing. Eugene location has opened few months back, which I was excited to try. It had 3.5 stars and I really thought Eugene was being weird, but no. This place is a true 3 star place.. I have tried other Zero Degrees before, and yet I had the most disappointing experience. It's located near Buddy's Diner, plenty of parking space and everything is new in this building! Space is little tight but didn't bother me. They have a lot of options for drinks, although their drinks taste mediocre. Their food selection is pretty small, mostly deep fried snacks. I ordered elote combo (elote + fries) and I was very. very. very disappointed. They used frozen corn that are white, not even canned corn. It had no flavor what-so-ever. Apart from Elote, fries were just no. Too oily and too hard eat. I do not recommend anyone for food at Zero Degrees but if you want to have some tea / boba with your friends, maybe give it a try. read more

My wife and I had the opportunity to go to Zero Degrees on opening day and did wait in line to get something to eat. We ordered a cookie monster, mangonado, and elote combo. The cookie monster was meh and wasn't as sweet as I had hoped. The mangonado was actually our favorite. It was refreshing and the combo of sweet, sour, and spice combo was on point. The elote was also okay and nothing that was memorable. The only thing that was memorable was the bill at $26 for three items. Going here comes with a hefty price tag and the only thing that I would actually consider getting would be the mangonado at $6. I won't be returning for the food because of the $$$, but will return for a manganado for sure. read more

Placing our order took far longer that it should have and the wait for our food and especially our drinks was very long. The staff was nice, but didn't seem to know what's going on or be trained in their jobs. Management needs to step it up with training. So after getting a rave review from my boss my boyfriend and I decided to try this place out. I ordered their mangonada with their tamarind straw and carne asada fries. My boyfriend went for their watermelon slush and their popcorn chicken with fries. The drinks hands down were the best part of the whole order, the carne asada fries I found to be lacking when it came to the meat not being well seasoned, it was bland. My boyfriend enjoyed his popcorn chicken and fries which after trying some of his will agree, I just wish they had different fries since shoe lace fries have never been my favorite. Overall it's a cool place to go and order snacky food for dinner. Like I mentioned before their drinks are what really hooked me on while the food could use a tweak. read more

I would have rated this place 5 stars, but unfortunately I was not satisfied with the food part. My mother ordered the (crispy chicken wings box with Cajun fries) for $13. What she got were chunks of small meat pieces (NO CHICKEN WINGS AT ALL) and some dry fries. We waited for our order for at least half hour. That really disappointed me, with all the hype from social media about how amazing this place is. I guess they drop the ball on the food part. I understand that its busy with a long line all the way out since it's the grand opening. But hey c'mon it's the GRAND OPENING and first impressions lasts. The staff were nice and informative. The drinks were fantastic. I ordered their Mangonada, Cookie Monster, and Ube Milkshake. All three flavors were superb. I would recommend the drinks, but stay away from the food. I am new to town and the kids wanted some Boba tea. The actual milk tea selection is very limited. So I tried a couple of "new" drinks. The strawberry limeade is pretty good. I got the strawberry horchata for my 6 year old. Who said "it taste like barf" I tried it, it wasn't good. I went in to see if they could make her a strawberry limeade as this one was not good and they said no. So I basically paid $11.50 for 1 decent drink. I purchased a lychee slush and a popcorn chicken. Spending $8 on popcorn chicken, you would expect something close to a meal-size portion. To my surprise, I received, at best, a small handful of chicken, some of which was just fried breading. I've read through some of the comments here and noted that management instills a high price on their snacks and drinks because they purchase "quality ingredients." Although this could be potentially true, the chicken tasted stale and overcooked. Based on that, I fail to see where one gets $8 in value for the quality and quantity of chicken they receive. Additionally, I placed an order in advance for pick-up, and upon arrival, I had to wait an additional half hour until I was provided my order. The saving grace that doesn't make this a one-star review is the sheer quantity of drink you do receive, though for $7, this should be expected for flavored ice.... Overall, my experience was subpar, though it's likely no fault of the workers or the cooks. Based on the comments here, it seems like ownership is cutting corners on the cost of food while charging exorbitant prices. Additionally, the current set-up for pick-up seems very poor; while drinks are completed on time, they would be left out for long periods of time while the full order is, I assume, is being completed. A suggestion would be to add a fridge or some form of cooling in the front while customers wait for their full orders. Additionally, I saw several customers turned away (while it was, at worst, moderately busy) being told that their orders would take 30+ minutes. If a business has to turn away customers during non-rush hours, maybe there is an issue in the implementation of its business strategy that needs to be reconsidered... I likely won't come back unless there is a clear change in either the pricing or the quantity/quality of the food. I would be more than happy to update this review if things change for the better. An alternative to this business would be T4 boba, their service is timely, their food comes in large quantities, and the food is quality. read more

Well I have only had the please of have two items so far. Taro Milkshake and Spicy Watermelon . The Taro shake is on point. Like it's Taro shake ancestors of Hong Kong it's got a splash of delicious sweet Oreo mixed in it. The spicy watermelon is sweet with a pinch of that delicious chamoy and Tajin. Chunks of fresh sweet watermelon oh my!!! These folks have really perfected not only quality customer service but the desert realm of foods.
