The flavor was so refreshing and perfectly balanced and especially loved that it came with an actual tea bag inside, it really made it feel like a quality tea experience. As former Bay Area boba addicts (BobArea), we've had our fair share of boba and tea drinks over the years, so we're not easily impressed. This one was exceptional. We couldn't stop thinking about it, so we came back the very next morning and ordered three of the exact same drinks! That's probably the best endorsement we can give. I was hoping to try the Peach Jasmine Green Tea as well, but they were out of it, so Peach Oolong it was again and no complaints there. Maybe next time!

And boba. With lychee. So, okay, actually 7 words. But these 7 words were all I needed to complete my lazy afternoon wandering around Valley River Center. The achilles heal of many boba tea establishments is using weak tea as a base. I'm happy to report that, although they do offer various smoothies and non-tea options, Bobahead's oolong tea is actually good tea and I would happily drink it plain. I had a bit of a sweet craving today, so I chose to make it 100% sweet and add boba and lychee. It was the perfect combo of sweet and bitter and I couldn't stop myself from slurping it all down as soon as I got home. I will be back to Bobahead again and will probably order the same thing because it was just too delicious!

The place was nice, definitely popular. There was seating to enjoy drinks and food with friends, or as a study place. I would come back!

They also have games to use while sitting inside, which is something uncommon nowadays, I really love it. It is located in Thurston, which I really wish this place was somewhere near Gateway area instead, as it's quite a ride on Bus 11 (about 40-45 mins from downtown Springfield). There was a bit of a wait to order as there was only 1 staff making drinks. She told me bubble waffle would be additional wait, which she eventually got another staff to do. [Drink,Food,Price] I ordered 2 boba drinks (large/regular 24 oz) with 1 boba/topping and 2 bubble waffles, total about $30. Ok priced for nowadays and for bubble waffles I can't complain. My drink was "red bean milk tea with adzuki red beans" (DEFINITELY SPECIALITY!!) I highly recommend it as it's a very Asian specific drink that I can't find anywhere else in the area, highly recommended combination for red bean dessert lovers. The other drink was for my Mama, which was "Taro milk tea with crystal boba". It was a subtle nice non powdery Taro flavor, love the flavor tasted better quality than some others! I got 2 "nutella with banana bubble waffle". The taste was very delicious, it tasted like they used Hong Kong Egg Waffle batter, as it's different from other pancake/waffle batters. It was on the lighter side of flavor profile. Toppings was satisfactory and plentiful, which I appreciated! Just bananas tasted a bit old. Overall, I REALLY love this boba place and can't wait to come back again! Definitely want this to be my go to boba place! Just wished they were located elsewhere, but 100% worth the trip!

The taro latte with boba (iced) was also refreshing with a decent taro flavor. The cafe has an extensive menu of steeped tea flavors that we didn't get to try. The owner is very sweet, and I loved all the little Godzilla touches throughout the space. I ordered the banana matcha and it was seriously perfect, one of the best matchas I've had from a coffee shop in a long time. My husband got a regular latte and loved his too. Drinks do take a few minutes because she clearly puts so much care and craft into every beverage, so be prepared to wait a bit, but it is 100% worth it. For a small business making drinks with that level of intention, I truly don't mind at all.
