Visited week of…read moreJune 21 2024 [Location, interior, service] Beautifully modern decorated with plenty of seats and tables to lounge. They also have games to use while sitting inside, which is something uncommon nowadays, I really love it. It is located in Thurston, which I really wish this place was somewhere near Gateway area instead, as it's quite a ride on Bus 11 (about 40-45 mins from downtown Springfield). There was a bit of a wait to order as there was only 1 staff making drinks. She told me bubble waffle would be additional wait, which she eventually got another staff to do. [Drink,Food,Price] I ordered 2 boba drinks (large/regular 24 oz) with 1 boba/topping and 2 bubble waffles, total about $30. Ok priced for nowadays and for bubble waffles I can't complain. My drink was "red bean milk tea with adzuki red beans" (DEFINITELY SPECIALITY!!) I highly recommend it as it's a very Asian specific drink that I can't find anywhere else in the area, highly recommended combination for red bean dessert lovers. The other drink was for my Mama, which was "Taro milk tea with crystal boba". It was a subtle nice non powdery Taro flavor, love the flavor tasted better quality than some others! I got 2 "nutella with banana bubble waffle". The taste was very delicious, it tasted like they used Hong Kong Egg Waffle batter, as it's different from other pancake/waffle batters. It was on the lighter side of flavor profile. Toppings was satisfactory and plentiful, which I appreciated! Just bananas tasted a bit old. Overall, I REALLY love this boba place and can't wait to come back again! Definitely want this to be my go to boba place! Just wished they were located elsewhere, but 100% worth the trip!

We adjusted the sweetness to 50%. I got boba in my drink. The drink was good! At 50% sweetness, the drink was still too sweet. The boba was chewy but not sweet, like brown sugar boba. The place was nice, definitely popular. There was seating to enjoy drinks and food with friends, or as a study place. I would come back!

I did get it 50% sugar so that might've contributed to it, but I usually get it with that amount. I ended up paying $6, for it, so a bit disappointed :( I do want to say that I would've asked for a different drink but I didn't start drinking it until I was away from the restaurant. I ordered at the kiosk, so can't say too much about the service. The ambiance felt cozy.

I walked up and was instantly greeted by both employees at the stand. The menu is right next to the window. The Drink & Food: I ordered a 10oz Steamer [Kid's menu]. A steamer is basically hot milk with flavored syrup. Cool Beanz has an amazingly long list of flavored syrups; you can mix them up! An employee said, "the limit is only your imagination." I recommend coming if you want to be creative with your drinks and be out of the box, they would totally cater to it! I chose hazelnut and toasted vanilla. The barista accidentally poured too much syrup and asked if I wanted it to be extra sweet. Along if I wanted it to be a kid's temperature. I said yes to both, and he obliged. I bought a chocolate jumbo muffin too. It is a basic one from Costco. The Price: The 10oz steamer was $2. The jumbo muffin was $1.50 (pretty sure cheaper than the Dari-mart across the street; same Costco muffins). I think the menu prices are affordable compared to Dutch and Starbucks. Maybe only a few drinks actually reached $5 in price. Extra: They do have coffee specials. They have dog treats! Also, they do fill refillable cups. (I couldn't see the price menu for that too well. But it was about $0.50 off the coffee size on the menu - nice discount and saving the planet!) Overall, if you want some change in your daily coffee, definitely stop by Cool Beanz. Plus, they are local, so you're helping out the community!

I love a drink trailer and they seem to be a uniquely Oregon thing, or perhaps I'm visiting the wrong states since I've never seen one elsewhere besides maybe in a couple Northern California. When we got to the front of the line, we still needed a few seconds to decide and the guy let us take our time. Service was super friendly, which I always appreciate. They had some good specials and if I drank coffee I would have wanted probably both of them but especially the huckleberry mocha. My chai latte it was good. It tasted almost like cookie or something but it had some nice spices. I'm not sure if it was an Oregon Chai-type concentrate (it's been a long time since I've used that) or something else but it was yummy to drink. Even though my family has never gotten out to the Thurston area much, I let my sister know that if she is looking for a coffee place and she's in that area she should give this place a try.

The taro latte with boba (iced) was also refreshing with a decent taro flavor. The cafe has an extensive menu of steeped tea flavors that we didn't get to try.
