Overall: While the service is better compared to the southeast Portland location, I am disappointed by their willingness to honor the full promotional offer. Location/Parking: It's a great location for those working around the surrounding area as there are other stores nearby. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza. Service: I went during lunch hour and there weren't many customers, which I wasn't surprised about since it was a Thursday. Even though the cashier was busy giving recommendations to other customers, I was still greeted by other staff members which never seems to happen at the southeast location. This aspect alone saved their rating. Drink/Flavor: I've only been to this location once so take my comments with a grain of salt. I got the oolong milk tea with bubbles which didn't have much flavor. The bubbles was nothing to rave about but it wasn't disappointing either. Misc: What brought me in was the $1 milk tea promotion that they ran for the month of September and October on Thursdays. The ad they posted on Facebook clearly shows bubbles which you would assume is included in the price. I even showed it to the cashier but she said that they have to charge for it. Dang it. We ( by that I really mean the teen) have been trying to go here for a while but every time it occurs to us the line is abysmal. I kept saying " that means it is overrated." Today my brilliant stubborn 17yo child decided to order drinks from Uber Eats and informed me that since said child is employed ( albeit part time ) I have no say. The teen paid and food and fancy drinks arrived in about 40 minutes. Teen ordered: elotes which came with unexpected fries a split cup with strawberry horchata and cucumber limeade for the kid a mango green iced tea for me bbq popcorn chicken and ranch Everything was surprisingly good. Like really good. Savory, crispy, fresh. The corn was excellent which shocked me. Elotes at a fancy expensive chain bubble tea place? My mango tea was refreshing and not sickly sweet like my last fruity tea elsewhere. Sigh. Guessing more of our hard earned money will go here after all. It is busy for a reason. After catching a movie at the Regal theater, we found on Yelp that Zero Degrees was one of the closest boba spots nearby. Zero degrees looked like any boba cafe - hip, trendy. Good thing we came at the time we did, because the line to order started to quickly build behind us. Customer service was alright. The person taking our order was nice, but I felt that she wasn't very confident about the menu as she hesitated after every question I asked. The other employees who were preparing and serving the drinks were efficient, but it wouldn't hurt if they could smile once in a while. I ordered a split cup of the coffee horchata and tiger sugar milk. The coffee horchata was better than the tiger sugar milk. The cinnamon flavor of the horchata was spot on. The tiger sugar milk, which was a caramel milk, was such a sweet overload. I couldn't really enjoy it. I got both drinks with boba, but I've had better elsewhere. The boba were chewy but weren't cooked all the way, so the centers were too firm. We ordered a couple of snacks as well. We got the extra hot cheetos cheese fries and popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken way pretty standard. The hot cheetos cheese fries were not bad either. I liked that they used skinny fries, because they stayed crispier longer. The cheese on the fries was like nacho cheese, which I don't particularly care for. What's great about the snacks though was that I felt I got a better value at Zero Degrees. Stopped by Friday evening to get a boba tea. I was surprised to see that there is no line and no one inside dinning. This place use to have 2-3 hour wait lines. Got the peach ice tea with boba. The tea itself was great in terms of flavor, fragrance, and sweetness. However, the boba was inconsistent (some were hard, some too mushy, some in between) in terms of texture or chewiness. Given that boba should be the star of the drink, not sure I would come back and try something else on the menu. read more

LOVE beverages and food. My top two favorite drinks to get here are 1. Jasmine Milk Tea and 2. Sea Salt Green Tea. Of course both of the drinks have boba in it. The boba is perfect texture (soft and chewy) and flavor (little sweet, but not too sweet). I also like the strawberry milk (way better than regular strawberry milk because it has crushed strawberries and probably tons of sugar! Definitely recommend for a sweet tooth. The food menu changes often and I'm not sure how to track that. I wonder if it is seasonal. But I REALLY miss their kimchi fried rice. They also have the best popcorn chicken with very yummy seasoning (can request for it to be spicy, my fav). This place was rated poorly because of the long wait times, but the lines and wait is much better. I wouldn't expect to get boba within the last half hour of closing either. I wish there was a flavor similar to the salt and pepper popcorn chicken. The shoestring fries are plentiful. The Cajun fries are tasty and not very spicy. House Coffee: Vietnamese coffee, which has a strong coffee flavor topped with salted cream Oolong milk tea: good flavor and creamy with their non-dairy creamer Toppings (i.e boba) are $0.50 extra. Tried this for the first time since I didn't want to wait in ridiculous lines. Went running errands in that plaza so thought I'd check the line situation. Luckily on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm there was no line. Walked up to the counter and ordered a Strawberry Horchata with regular boba. It was $6 and came out very fast. It tasted good and they had REAL strawberry chunks and just the right amount of boba and ice! Was it worth the price? Compared to normal other places $4-5 it might be a bit more if you wanted more customization. Food smelled good too I didn't get any though. Would I get it again? Maybe. Would be interesting to try the Matcha Horchata I think. But I would definitely NOT wait in line for it. read more

Used to be top tier. When they first opened, they were hitting it off with the split cups and great milky flavors. Even the mangonada's were great. Now it's subpar. They even removed the logos from the cups so it seems even more generic. I got the Ube Horchata and it almost tasted sour. The ube milkshake was ok though. My sister and I are ube milkshake addicts but last weekend, we had some friends visit us from California so we took them here. My sister and I tried the split cup, the sea salt taro latte and house coffee. Oh my word! Both are soooo good!!! The house coffee is the best Vietnamese coffee ever! Our friends love it there too! Was interested to try the lime cane and mango cane drinks as well as the classic elote. Prices are steep and left us disappointed compared to the drink taste. The mango drink was an additional $2 to have without ice so it cost $7, when drinking it you can see the mango separated and tasted like it was close to being rotten. The lime drink has little to no lime flavor and is just a weird flavor + sweet. The classic elote tasted alright but it seemed more like esquite than true elote, and for a small portion at $6... in Mexico you can get a quality elote for less than 80 cents (10 to 20 pesos). So all in all not the worst but prices seem a bit steep and stingy. read more
