As a former regular of the restaurant I can say that the service speed has improved a lot. The workers are not only friendly but they are also quick too. If you're trying to come in and out, this is not really possible here, depending on the time of the day. I came with low expectations due to some other Yelp reviews and was truly positively surprised and happy with everything. We spontaneously decided to give this place a try at 9pm on a Friday night - they close at 10p. To my surprise there was no line but it was still rather busy with all tables being taken. Now when I say there was no line keep in mind that I'm certain we were just lucky because within a matter of minutes there was a line of about 15 people out the door on a Friday night. Alright, so the drinks are pretty bomb and I honestly don't think it's fair to complain about the pricing here. One, you clearly pay for the presentation here so you can get those perfect Instagram shots and two, they only charge $1.50 to get your drink served in a glass milk bottle and I think around $3 for a mason jar. We ordered the Ube Milkshake, Lychee smoothie (in a glass bottle), strawberry milk (in a glass bottle) and strawberry horchata and everything was ahhh-mazing in my opinion. It was almost $30 for 5 drinks, yes, BUT you pay 5-6 bucks for a fancy coffee so why not do the same for pretty looking smoothie? The lychee smoothie was super good but a tad sweet, the strawberry milk was super flavorful and full of fresh tasting strawberry chunks. The Ube Milkshake looked spectacular and tasted good. I couldn't quite pinpoint what exactly it tasted like but it was pretty legit. The Strawberry Horchata was also 9/10 if you ask me! I don't think it's quite 5 stars simply for the fact that parking kind of sucks, the service wasn't over the top amazing and you wait about 15 minutes on your drinks when it's semi busy. The food selection is limited, and some items are worth actively avoiding (I'm looking at you, Hot Cheetos Elote), but again, this place is really about the drinks and the aesthetic, like a juice bar in LA. I brought my daughter here after we both had an awful day. It was supposed to be a special treat a way to lift our spirits. We didn't get our ranch we had asked for nor did we ask for a receipt. After spending 30 dollars and tipping 6 I realized this. The kid just wanted ranch. Now I like much of the world do not carry cash, I went to the register, called their attention and asked for a ranch. When they requested 50 cents I said I only have my card but okay, the cashier said of course but couldn't find the option on the register. Asked for help from an older woman in the kitchen who appeared to be her mother. This woman proceeds to tell me there's a minimum for the card of four dollars. I asked nicely, can I please just have a ranch packet for my kids fries...The older woman says if you want to buy something else... I got frustrated at this point, I said I spent 30 dollars on food and I tipped you guys 6. Can I please just have a .50 cent ranch packet... This continued until I had to walk out before raising my voice. Never àgain will I come here. I get it, charging for sauces totally understandable. But for the love of god. I ordered two whole meals with sides and extras. Drinks and everything, I even offered to go out to the car and try and dig it up if my kid could just get some ranch for her fries before they got any colder... Oh yeah they were cold too... I personally wouldn't come back to this place for the food, only drinks. My husband enjoyed his strawberry limeade and I liked the Ube milkshake. Presentation was cute and the prices were reasonable when wrapped into the cost of the combo meals. However, the food wasn't as good as we'd hope. The popcorn chicken had a different taste to it (presumably from whatever they season it with). We ordered honey BBQ flavor and it was just lacking. My elotes was smothered with so much cheese and that's all I could taste. Their fries were good but I wish they gave more than just 3 packets of ketchup between 2 people (maybe have this out so customers can grab however much they want). First time here for Boba tea and it was quite flavorful. I got the strawberry peach green tea with rainbow jellies. Being a vegetarian the overwhelming smell of fried chicken was too much for me so I don't think I'd go back but if that smell doesn't bother you then I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

I first checked this place out in the middle of July when Oregon was in the middle of a heatwave. The line was out the door and it seemed pretty busy, but people were popping out of the place constantly, so I figured it was worth the wait and service seemed to be working quickly. I've tried it again a couple of times since and granted the line always seems to reach the door, but service is pretty fast and the cashiers are always super patient and nice. For a Friday night (at around 7 pm) in October, the place was still filled with people, but not super packed like how it was over the summer. Their prices range from $4-5+ and most add-on's like the boba's (regular or clear/crystal) are $0.50. Split cups are the best way to go if you're still trying to familiarize yourself with the menu and figuring out what you like/don't like from their options. Buying a mason jar from them only costs $2.50 extra (which is surprisingly cheap...most people charge up to $5 more), and they also have a travel bottle available--it's a glass bottle with several designs and sleeves available. My go-to and favorite drink so far is their Strawberry Limeade with regular boba. It's semi-sweet, but has a tangy/sour taste due to the limeade and is super refreshing. Both fruit flavors emphasize the sweetness of the boba. I'd also recently tried their Peach Blossom and Lychee Crush in a split cup...both drinks are very similar to each other. They both had chopped up fruit in the drink and most of it contained fruit juice. Both gives you a summer feel and is very refreshing. The Lychee Crush has lime in it, which added to the refresh-ness. I got them with clear/crystal boba, which is similar to the regular but just a little bit less chewy and more dense. They ran out of regular boba when I went--around 8:30 pm on a Saturday. Parking is not a problem. It's in a small plaza next to Dollar Tree and Mio Sushi, so there's plenty of parking in the lot. The only reason I've deducted a star is because the place is pretty small and is not ideal for sitting around to hang out with friends. There are a few two-seater tables on the side and one table that can fit maybe four people, but other than that, it's a place that's best for going in and out. It just gets hard to find a place to stand/wait for your order when it gets pretty crammed in there. Due to the popularity of the place, I'm surprised they haven't come out with a loyalty program. It would be awesome if they had punch cards--some buy 10 drinks, get 1 free like Dutch Bro's or other boba/coffee places. I have yet to try their Mangonada drink, which has chunks of mango, but my boyfriend has ordered the drink with watermelon chunks and Tajin and he absolutely loved it! If you're a fan of these types of Mexican snacks, you'll surely love and enjoy Zero Degrees. If not, there are plenty of fruit juice options as well as a few teas (milk tea, Thai tea, matcha green tea). It's definitely a unique place...kind of like boba drinks with a Mexican dessert twist. We were very excited to try Zero Degrees after seeing their posts in our social media feeds. I have been recovering from shattering my leg and ankle and we decided when I could easily navigate we wanted to try Zero Degrees as a treat. The biggest drawback here was the space. So small, very limited seating. Trying to order and enjoy the drinks with friends was a hard experience for me with mobility equipment. Not accessibility friendly at all. I mean you could get in and out of there, but it was a trying effort. It would be trying even if I was 100% good and mobile. Hope they consider moving to an upgraded space in the future, their business looks good enough to support that. The drinks were great, just what we were hoping for. I got a CAMO Thai, so good! And served just like the pictures! Coming out of the door to leave there was a large gathering of what I think were homeless people, smoking and drinking. Again, had to try and navigate that scene in the pouring down rain as well. I really hope this business can move to a spacious and safe location. Not Environmentally Friendly I purchased a drink and paid for their glass jar. Thinking that I could come back again and reuse it to reduce plastic waste. When I returned, the use of glass jar that printed zero degrees was not accepted. The reason? Sanitation. I am trying to do my part to try and reduce waste. Many stores including Star Bucks give a small discount to encourage people to bring their own cup. I am not even asking for a discount here. I just want less waste! It's been a week since I've been here. My two cents: I would not get a half/half drink again. 1.) the gap separating the two drink flavors is large. Economically, you're paying $6-7 for what looks like a 24 oz drink, but it's more like 18oz. Why couldn't the cup be made whole with plastic in the middle? Why is there an actual gap in the cup? 2.) personal preference: I don't like smoothies with big ice chunks. When you get big ice chunks, it takes up lots of volume so the amount you actually drink is even less. So now you're paying $6-7 to drink 12 oz. When the ice is granular enough to sip through a straw, you can drink the whole drink. See my photo to get a gist. 3.) I didn't like the horchata flavored drinks. The strawberry horchata was not rich enough. It was plain strawberry water. The matchata (matcha horchata) was slightly better, but still watered-down tasting. While I was in Oregon for the weekend, my friend showed me around Hillsboro. It was around 4pm on a Friday, so of course there was a line of about 15 people waiting to order. Per recommendation of my friend, I tried the strawberry horchata and was pleasantly surprised! I LOVED the strawberry bits! They added a little tart kick to the sweetness of the horchata. Lots of people were ordering food, which I wish we had. They have an interesting menu, they even have some items that are topped with hot cheeto dust. Maybe next time I'll come with an appetite? The staff is young and very sweet, but my one big concern is the lack of cleanliness. I understand that it was busy, but the garbage cans were overflowing, there were spilled drinks and food on the floor, and there was a bit of a spoiled milk smell when you walked in the door (I'm assuming from the overflowing garbage cans)... So after waiting it out a few weeks after I saw a long line for its soft opening, I finally gave this place a try. Just to be on the safe side, I showed up 15 minutes before opening. I was still probably 7th or 8th in line. I was intrigued by their offerings, including the split cup. 2 flavors, 1 cup. Ha. Anyway, I did go with the split cup (thai milk tea and strawberry horchata), but I ended up waiting at least 20 minutes before ordering. Part of this was due to indecision of customers in front of me, plus some of them ordering a ton of stuff for their friends. Up to this point, I've already been waiting 35 minutes. I ended waiting roughly another 20 minutes until my drink was finally ready. Presentation-wise, the cup looked cool. Taste-wise, it was just ok. I probably would have enjoyed it more had I not waited so long. Let's face it, the service here needs vast improvement. It's pretty apparent across the board that everyone is going to have to invest a lot more time than they really need to just for some boba here. First of all, I am embarrassed that I waited in line for 90 minutes to buy something to drink but I will admit it - the drinks were incredibly delicious. I waited so long that I decided to try 4 different flavors and take them home to share with my roommate. All drinks were pretty unique. I ordered the coveted Mangonada Twist, a watermelon slush (I think that's what it was called), and a split cup with Strawberry Horchata and Sea Salt Green Tea. Each drink had it's own blast of flavors - salty, sweet, spicy. I gave 3 stars because the people working there were nice and never seemed grumpy or stressed despite the huge lines. However, they were sooooo slow. I went on a rainy Thursday around 1 pm. I thought for sure the lines would have died down and it wouldn't take as long to get my drink. There were only about 15 people in line and I waited about 55 minutes to get to the counter. Once I finally ordered it took another 30 minutes or so to actually get my drinks. The hype is real...and so is the wait in line. One of favorite things when I traveled through Westminster was the abundance of yummy banh mi and bubble tea places to dine at. Among them were Bánh Mì Chè Cali (one of my earlier reviews) and Zero Degrees. I was really excited when I heard the latter opened in my neck of the woods. They're known for having cool novelty glass jars, split cup bubble tea cups, and a creative drink/dessert menu. The store is currently operating from (EDIT: 12pm-8pm) @ Lee Sandwich's old location. If you've ever dined in at Lee's, then you know there's not a whole lot of room for seating. The interior decor was spruced up with softer lighting, wood-lined flooring, and some fresh contrasting paint, so it does feel more inviting than the previous tenant ever did. I ordered the Mangonada - It's a basically mango slushee with flavored with salted lime and some chilies (chamoy and taji). The straw has a lovely spiral of mango slices sprinkled with chili powder for some contrasting sweet and spicy flavor. I felt like it was just a well dressed slushee...nothing out of the ordinary otherwise. I also had the coffee horchata and the sea salted Vietnamese coffee. The horchata didn't have enough coffee IMO, but it still tasted like a decent iced cinnamon mocha. The Vietnamese coffee was perfect for me. You'll want the ice to melt a bit. Otherwise the condensed milk might be overbearingly sweet. The sea salt added some welcoming bitterness to the drink. It's an extra $1.50 for any drinks in a glass jar. $0.50 for boba, jellies, or aloe. Boba traditionalists might be disappointed as there's only 4 types of milk teas - Jasmine, Earl Grey, Sea Salt Green Tea, and Thai Tea. I knew I was in for a wait since Zero was popular in California, but I wasn't expecting to be standing in line for ONE HOUR...Plus an additional 15 minutes waiting for my 3 drinks after ordering. Mostly my fault since there were 20+ ahead of me when I waited in line, though I think things can definitely move faster if they didn't have to wait on the fryer for hot food. Hopefully things will improve once the crowd dies down and the staff gain more experience. Otherwise it's not a viable place to grab a drink during daylight hours. 3.5 stars overall. However, the line isn't invisible, you could count how many people in line so you realize how long you will wait, why complain so much? I waited 1 hour for my drink (ordering and picking up.) The mangonada was super interesting. I expected it to be sweet but the flavor I got was sour and salty, cool! You get to choose either junk or twisted mango, definitely twisted. Much like my heart stopped when I tried a split milk tea and thai iced tea boba at the first Zero Degrees in Oregon. As a crowd gathered around my near lifeless body, a good samaritan acquiesced my last dying request to try the cajun fries and popcorn chicken.
