Damn, that was good!…read more The first thing about this place that stands out is that it's literally the best-smelling restaurant in Mooresville. And that's a lot of restaurants. I knew once it smelled good that it would taste good. Right. Anyway... Eating this was interesting because each bite kept getting better and I didn't want to stop. The only mistake I made was the wonton noodles. They were very good but they really just got in the way of the fresh ingredients, which were cold-yet-cooked grilled chicken, cucumbers, shredded carrots, mixed greens, white rice, and a mix of soy sauce and a soy base. When I left here, the freshness of this meal invigorated me. Another big plus is the friendliness of the staff. I can assure you that this is not the case for all restaurants in Mooresville. I would say half are genuinely friendly, 25% are faking it, and 25% are rude or just have no personality. The staff here is genuinely friendly, polite, patient, and happy to help. I highly recommend Poke Bros! I know there is more than one location so I can't speak for the others because I haven't been to them, but if you live in Mooresville, the other locations don't matter much and this one should be on your to-do list!

Started out OK and the two ladies on the front end of the line did a very good job customizing a BMT to my preferences. Problem was when I got down to the end to pay out and that girl could not keep any of the orders straight. The lady ahead of me had already paid and was walking off when the cashier started yelling for her to come back because she had given me the wrong order. Turned out she had not but she was so disorganized she did not know the difference. As for me, she charged me the wrong amount and I had to have her correct it. Sandwich was good but I did not need the drama at the end. Good thing I took it back to the office to enjoy in peace and quite.

I proceed to speak to her about the issue and to find out it was her. Apparently, my husband asked if they were open and she went on a rant about they are open 24 hours. You went on to say the line started at the other end. One my husband asked a question, two there was no line, the store was empty. Three she was clearly rude and showed she hated her low paying job. I approached her regarding the her service and lack of tact. The subway female shift manager automatically jumped to her own defense with her hand motions and smacking of the gums (she has no teeth). As she waved her hands and smacked her gums, I stood in front of her with my hands folded, attempting to explain to her the value of proper communication. I explained to her that her body language and attitude clearly told that she hated her job.. She became so defensive that it was a waste of breathe speaking to someone with lack of intelligence. I admittedly left and cursed at her as ignorance gets on my nerves. I had to come to terms that it is Christmas and some people are just naturally bitter. I hope that the store owner provides customer service training to the staff. The way she reacted could have caused additional issues and a good ole dragging. Please talk to her about her offensive body language and her hand gestures. She is a lawsuit ready to happen if she continues with her temper. Again she is very unprofessional, untrained, bluntly rude and lack people skills. You can check with the other staff members that witness the event.

After about 3-4 minutes of Fumbling around, (keep in mind they were not busy ). another hostess, with a long green scarf wrapped around her head to look like a gypsy, looked at me, took me around to the right side of the restaurant, and did not even bother to seat me at the table. The Following conversation below explains the reason I feel the way I feel. Keep in mind I was Asked if I wanted a Hi-top table. The hostess says. "Hi-top" ?? I said...." Sure...." She walks me past the bar towards the bathroom and sticks me a 2 seater table that was dark as crap. Not a hightop. So dark that I sat down and pulled out my phone in order to use the light to read the menu. I say.... "How about that table right there, pointing to the HIGH-Top in the bar... She says..." this is where I need to seat you for service.... ". ???? Since when can you not get service at a bar hightop??? I sit down.... I try to read the menu in the dark .. a waitress walks by me about 4 times ... no acknowledgment not even a how are you. Just walked past .... I get up and leave everything at the table and walk out .... so much for a decent meal and leaving a server a very decent tip. Never again .... I would not even post this if it had not been that this is the second time I've been to Duckworth's and service has just been horrendous. I'm not sure if it's because there is a group of regulars that go there and love the establishment, and gives them high scores but as someone who visits every now and then, and each time over the last six months has received horrible service I just don't understand. The food is not that great, and the service is even worse. I would not recommend this restaurant at any time of the day or night not until they can get either staffing needs straightened out or better food .
