We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with this place! We received great service and food was right beside it! Ambiance was a good for the sit in portion as well!!! One notable thing is the wing size, they are worth the price

Best chicken sandwich in the game! Their nuggets with the award winning sauce are also a great go to!

We started with a couple of Dr. Brown's diet cream sodas which were tasty and refreshing. In my effort to eat better, I ordered the Chicken Power Salad with Danish Bleu dressing and without cucumber, while Hubby ordered a Big Dipper sandwich with no pickle. The salad was fresh, crunchy and filling, and Hubby enjoyed his sandwich with chips. Charity did a great job making sure we were taken care of and brought us additional cream sodas. One other thing I like about Groucho's Deli is the opportunity to donate a meal through the partnership they have with GiftAMeal. It's such an easy thing to do to help people in need.

Our server did a pretty mediocre job, if I'm being real - she took our orders and delivered the food but pretty much didn't check on us for the entire meal, and I ended up having to take my trash to the front counter to get rid of it, since no one was bussing the table. I got the Chicken Power Pita and I was underwhelmed with it. The pita was soggy and cold, and everything inside felt mushy and a bit flavorless. My wife's roast beef sandwich was also extremely lacking, although she did like the bread. Weirdly, she wanted lettuce, tomato, and onion on it, and the server told us that they didn't offer onion. Why does a deli not have sliced onion for its sandwiches? On the positive side, my father-in-law really liked his chili. Because we got there so early, we found parking on the street, but I'm not sure how easy it'd be to find parking if you came during normal lunch hours. Inside the restaurant, it had standard deli vibes. I would definitely not come back here if I was stopping in Statesville for lunch.

We arrived just in the nick of time before their 2pm closing time during the weekday. My friends were acquainted with the server and the owner. Our server was very friendly and welcomed and thanked me for giving them a try. After we all finished chatting she took our drink order. We were all indecisive about our selection since there were many delicious items to select. They 3 of my friends decided to try something they hadn't tried yet. It was all to me so it was hard to select immediately. But, I finally decided on the Strawberry Grilled Cheese sandwich and side selection was the orzo with spinach. Our orders arrived and we sampled each others sandwiches. I did like the strawberry grilled cheese. I didn't think it would pair well, but I was wrong. I thought the same about the Fig Grilled Sandwich. I think I will have that next time. Or I might try some of the other interesting Grilled Sandwiches. The orzo dish was a refreshing dish and went well with the sandwich. This place is decorated cute and it is spacious inside with booth and table seatings available. My friends told me it is busy on the weekends. Our visit was on a Friday. It could have been very busy earlier but when we were seated there were plenty of tables available. This town is quaint, all brick buildings. Be sure you pay attention to the signs where you park. Parking patrol is always patrolling the area. I would definitely return come check them out.

Best Louisiana cousin in state. Dining there brought me back fond memories of Cafe DuMont and French quarters. They have a crazy in house policy that you have to be 18yo to be in their tiny restaurant after 5pm to protect the adult atmosphere. Granted, when we walked in with our 16yo we noticed some odd looks from other patrons, but we still found a high top table and sat down. The ambience had us feeling a bit uncomfortable but we were determined to stick it out and give the Quarter a try. (After all, we love the owners' other local restaurants...) We were actually asked for our drink order but then we were asked to leave a few minutes later. It turns out there is a small chalkboard tucked away in the entryway that has a note about being 18 after 5pm. What has left us confused is, the place has speakeasy vibes with half the tiny space as a bar, which would require you to be 21 to drink legally. So the age requirement to protect the adult atmosphere (their words) does not make sense. If you're not old enough to drink then legally you're not an adult. Word to Management.... Rethink your policy so it makes sense, or make the rule more visible. And tone down the swinger's club vibes. Don't waste your time.
