    Asian Zing Salad

The Asian Zing Salad was pretty tasty it was a huge salad and the salad dressing rocked. Service was fast and the drive through moved swiftly. The young lady that took my order was so patient and had a great personality.

Great customer service and my order was ready rapidly. The options for wing sauce is nice as well, about 12 sauces I believe. The french fries and Zaxby's sauce is the best. Restaurant was clean.

A good place to eat in the Chester area near the interstate Zaxby's is a fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, and salads. The chain was founded in Statesboro, Georgia, in 1990 and has since expanded across the United States. As of September 2021, there were over 900 Zaxby locations across 17 states in the United States, including Virginia. Virginia has 16 Zaxby's locations as of 2024 These restaurants are known for their fresh, hand-breaded chicken fingers and made-to-order menu items. They also offers a variety of sauces, including its signature Zax Sauce and Wimpy Sauce, which customers can customize to their liking. This particular one is located to the northwest of the intersection of I-95 and W hundred road. It is, as most of them are, a stand-alone site. There was parking around the building and plenty of parking in adjacent lots. The restaurant was clean and the staff was nice. You order at the counter and they call your number to pick up your food. The prices are reasonable for the current economy. The food came out quickly and was excellent. I highly recommend their salads. Overall, this is a good location to eat in the Chester area that is close to the interstate.

I'm late to the party on Zaxby's. I decided to give them a try after hearing how delicious they were. We ordered a little bit of everything: chicken strips, fried pickles, French fries, and cole slaw. The food overall was way toooo salty. The service is slow. We dined in and it took at least 15 minutes for our order to be ready. The coleslaw was the shining star of the meal. Overall I hated the food and will not be back.

With all the recent "who has the best chicken sandwich" fiasco going on, somehow we ended up at Zaxby's. I tried Zaxby's when they first came to Richmond but it made no impression on me whatsoever. So, we ended up here like 3 times in a week. The Zaxby's Club Sandwich has to be the best fast food chicken sandwiches I have ever had. Now I love me some Chic Fil A , this is just different. And Zaxby's has some great and unexpected appetizers, including their buffalo dip and tater chips, oh my that is a fast food game changer. We tried the fried white cheddar bites (yum), and they also have fried mushrooms, and onion rings. I did have an opportunity to try a Zaxby's salad, I wasn't a fan. I tried a cobb salad and the egg was inedible and overall I was missing Chic fil a cobb salad while eating it. I will say Zaxby's was a bigger and less expensive salad compared to Chic fil a, but it just didn't do it for me. Other items the gang tried and loved: the traditional wings. The boneless wings were essentially chicken nuggets. But, there are bunches of sauces and dips to choose from. Options are good. We have also had great service here. While Chic fil a does a great job, often they frustrate me when dining in and wanting a drink refill. No worries here, they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle! Winner winner chicken dinner. This Zaxby's location has made me a believer. I have yet to try Popeye's but the Zaxby's chicken club is now my go-to for that chicken sandwich itch that must be scratched.

Overall, a pretty good experience. Very friendly staff, quick drive thru process and my Cobb salad with thousand island was 98% fresh. The perfectly cooked bacon and toast were happy bonuses. Hey, I'm satisfied.

    Grilled chicken salad

Had a grilled chicken salad for lunch today. What caught my eye was the fact that the nutrition specs weren't too bad (I checked online first) and the salad came with french fried onions. I loooove french fried onions. I have been to other Zaxby's locations before and it's always been just ok. Nothing to write home about, really. My experience was the same today. I enjoyed my salad, but nothing about it was over the top delicious. I appreciated that the chicken was nice and juicy, the fried onions provided some crunch, and the tomatoes tasted fresh. It actually had much better flavor than I was expected. I just wish that there was more chicken. I don't even think I had a whole chicken breast in the salad. What can I say. I did enjoy the salad, just wasn't anything special. Was it worth the $8? Eh, debatable.

My mother and I were super hungry and had been running errands so we decided to stop at the new Zaxby's. Their menu is a lot like Cane's if you are familiar. The bread is deliciously buttery. I had the grilled chicken Cobb salad. The salad was pretty large and extremely fresh. The grilled chicken... Seriously the SALTIEST grilled chicken I've ever had. I couldn't figure out why it was so salty. I figured it out with my first bite- thought I was crazy so I took another bite! Gross!!! I would go back for a salad but I won't ever order that grilled chicken again!

They have a very limited menu at lunch so you have a few appetizers to choose from, a few salads and sandwiches and burgers, so straight up American food. It does skew southern with crab cake sandwich, pimento cheese and fried chicken. For an appetizer we decided to try the wings. They were good and came with ranch drizzled over the wings. For entrees my husband got their farm & oak burger with Cole slaw and I got their wedge salad with fried chicken. Both were good. The salad was nice and cold and crisp, which was appreciated on such a hot day. It did have too much dressing so next time I might ask for less dressing or have it on the side. I enjoyed the food, service was good and it is a pretty restaurant. I'll probably come back for supper some time to try some of their more in-depth meals.

I had been telling my Dad for a while about how fun this place is, how nice everyone usually is, and how much I thought he would enjoy it. We were finally able to come together today, and he was genuinely excited to see the inside and have breakfast here for the first time. As expected, we were told the wait would be about 45-50 minutes. Fine. The place was busy, as it usually is, and we had absolutely no problem waiting. I spent years working as a server and hostess. I understand busy restaurants, long waits, and tables that don't turn as quickly as expected. After waiting about 40 minutes, I went to the host stand to simply ask for an update. We had watched people leave and groups continue to be seated during our wait, so I wanted to see where we stood. The young man at the host stand told me it would be ANOTHER 40-50 minutes. I genuinely thought he had confused our name with someone else's, so I explained that we had already been waiting for 40 minutes. He told me our names were "at the bottom of the list" and that people inside were moving very slowly. No apology. No double-checking the list. No attempt to figure out how a quoted 45-50 minute wait had suddenly turned into an hour and a half. He didn't ask if we were willing to sit inside, offer another seating option, or even suggest placing a to-go order. Nothing. He was completely dismissive. So I handed him the menu and my Dad and I left. Then, just 20 MINUTES later--not the additional 40-50 minutes we had literally just been told--I received a call saying our table was ready. I tried to explain that we were no longer there and WHY we had left. The second I said we had "left," I was HUNG UP ON. Honestly, that was it for me. Before that phone call, I was actually sitting in the car telling my Dad that maybe we could try again another day. Despite being embarrassed and disappointed after talking this place up to him so much, I was still willing to chalk it up to a bad interaction with one host. Getting hung up on completely sealed the deal. I'm not angry because the restaurant was busy. I'm angry because we were treated like we didn't matter. I'm angry because we waited patiently for 40 minutes, politely asked one question, and were dismissed with inaccurate information instead of someone taking 30 seconds to double-check. I'm angry because when I tried to explain what had happened, I wasn't even given the basic courtesy of finishing a sentence before someone hung up on me. My Dad and I have lived in Lakeside for over 30 years. We weren't asking to skip the line. We weren't demanding a table. We weren't rude to anyone. We were two local customers who were excited to have breakfast together at a place I had genuinely loved and recommended to other people. We will NEVER be back. And yes, we will absolutely be telling our friends, family, and neighbors about how we were treated and recommending that they go somewhere else unless they want to risk being dismissed, given completely inaccurate wait information, and hung up on when they try to explain why they left. Apparently this place is busy enough that treating people with basic courtesy no longer matters. That's fine. There are plenty of other restaurants that will happily take our money and, at the very least, treat my Dad and me like human beings. What was supposed to be a fun breakfast with my Dad turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. I went from genuinely loving and recommending this place to never wanting to step foot inside again. Congratulations. You lost two longtime local customers in less than an hour.

It was not good. It also came with a cookie. I got a salad because I wanted something healthy, but this didn't fit the bill. I wanted it to have more greens, but it was mostly toppings, especially chicken, such that the salad was out of balance. I liked the crunchy tortilla strips. I skipped the dressing; it was a huge portion and would have completely overwhelmed the salad. I tasted a bit of it and I'm glad I skipped it -- gross. I don't know what the deal was with the sides. The bread was two basic slices of white bread; unappealing, I skipped it. I have no idea what the sweet spread was for. The peppermint patty was a peppermint patty, idk what it was doing there.
