Brunch menu

This was my first time at Neighborhood and will not be my last! The food, the ambiance and the service all 10/20! We went for brunch over the weekend. Everything sounded so good it was hard to choose. We started with the French toast and split it. Never had French toast like this before and I'm not mad at it! It was deep fried which gave it this amazing crispiness you don't normally get with French toast. I got the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit!!!! I can't describe how good it was. My sister got the steak and eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked - temperature and taste. Can't wait to go back to Neighbor for dinner!

Breakfast burrito plus excellent grits

Fan to the tastic. We went for brunch, Great selection of breakfasty and lunchy items. Wyfe settled on the breakfast burrito, which the restaurant had no trouble customizing (excluding peppers.) It was really really good. I'd guess 4 scrambled eggs on it, maybe they will correct me. Adding a meat option like bacon or sausage, if offered, would have been added by Her but we were not asked. My Wilson was basically a smash burger. Everyone offers one now, but this one wqas very well seasoned and very VERY well cooked. The special sauce was all the condiment moisture that was needed on this one. The bun held up and it was a great meal. I selected tots as my side, and the portion was more than I could reasonably eat. Nice! Could have used more salt, but I took care of that. Service was attentive, if a bit confusing. Three different people stopped by, including one who (THANKFULLY) asked if I really wanted additional mustard since the smash sauce was full of it. Great ask, thank you. Great brunch, okay pricing, quick seating. We will certainly be back.

This place was awesome! We've been seeing a few Instagram post here and there and finally got the opportunity to try it out with our two boys! This place was great for our boys, with special needs, and they worked with us so well. We typically go for a booth table, which was great to block our kids in and to prevent them from escaping. We went to dinner pretty early, I would say around 4:30, and were seated quickly. They provide fun placements and crayons to have the kids color and...they have fans!!! haha The few times we've been here has been a successful with not only our boys, but the FOOD is delish! We love the kids menu, it's plentiful and we always have leftovers when we leave. Their specials has been a success with us too! Check out the photos, the food flavor and presentation is def there! Parking can be tight if you're going during the lunch/dinner rushes. Be sure you know how to parallel park! Hasn't been a problem for us to find parking since we're going during their off busy time. We will be recommending this place to our friends who are from out of town. Delish!

I've been wanting to visit Neighbor for some time now and am happy I finally stopped by for lunch. There is free street parking out front. They have a mix of indoor and outdoor seating available. I came on a weekday and was seated immediately. Although I only tried one sandwich here, I get the sense they are known for their sandwiches. I was able to try the fried oysters, hot honey Brussels, neighbor salad, and Mrs. Chanandler Bong sandwich. My favorite was by far the sandwich. The arugula pesto really complimented the sandwich. My fiancé loved it. I also really liked the hot honey Brussels. I wish the fried oysters were a bit more crispier and I wasn't a fan of the hoppin' John salad. I liked the pecans and feta in the neighbor salad. My server was super kind and helpful. I love all the natural lighting in their space and the cute mural. I'm excited to come back to try more things.

This is my new favorite spot! I came here with my sister for breakfast and the next day came with my mom! The food is really good here! The French toast was out of this world and the steak was cooked perfectly! The place was so freaking cute and casual. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. I haven't been for dinner yet but I cannot wait to try it. They do change their dinner specials often which I can definitely appreciate. I would absolutely recommend coming here.

Kimmy Gibbler with a side caesar salad
Michele F.

I came here for a late lunch with two friends. We arrived just before two and there was only one other table of two inside. One friend and I both ordered the Kimmy Gibbler with a side caesar salad, and my other friend ordered the Wilson with tater tots. The food was really good, but it took over a half hour for our three sandwiches to come out, even though there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. I'm not sure why the service was so slow. I'd pack your patience if you decide to eat here.

Came here for a weekday happy hour with my friend over the summer and I will definitely be back. We sat at a high top near the bar. Our server Courtney was very pleasant and attentive and she gave great menu recommendations. I do wish there was a HH menu with the info for the drink specials but Courtney did a great job clarifying them. The food was delicious! I ordered the hot honey Brussels as my app and they had a great flavor, I wish they were more charred and had a slighter kick but they were good. Now the buffalo chicken dip and chips was probably the best thing I had and I didn't even order it. The dip was seasoned perfectly and the chips made it that much better; I'm not sure if the chips are homemade (I didn't ask) but they sure tasted like it. I love potatoes (chips, bakes, mashed, and especially fries) so the chips and the French fries I had were perfect. I added bacon to my burger and it was just what I needed because I wanted something filling. I'd recommend this restaurant to couples, solo diners, and families. Although the interior isn't super large it would be perfect for HH, lunch, or dinner and I plan to return for the latter!

I stopped for a last minute brunch. Very nice breakfast brunch offering. This is in the previous Mill site. The atmosphere is nice. I want to go back and try the dinner menu.

Nice little restaurant in a cute part of town. The menu was pretty neat named after different characters and the options were nice. The service was quick and the food was good. Definitely worth trying out.

Such a hidden gem in Northside! My husband ordered the Uncle Phil, I got the Cajun pasta (special), and we split a side of mac n cheese. Everything was DELICIOUS! We had no complaints. The interior decor is super cute and has a cozy vibe. Service was great and food arrived quickly.

I loved the food and the creativity in the names! They definitely incorporated the 'neighbor' idea into all aspects as the restaurant is cozy and the service was great. I got the mac and cheese balls as an appetizer and would definitely recommend them. For an entrees, we got the Uncle Phil (French dip) and Tim the Bear (smash burger with egg). Both were really good!! Will be back soon.

I stopped by Neighbor with an out-of-friend shortly after picking her up from the Staples Mill Amtrak station. It's located in The Mill's former Bellevue space. They've added plants and a fresh coat of paint. The set up of booths/tables/bar remains the same. I ordered the Bold Rock berry peach cider along with "The Wilson," which is their play on a smashburger. I really enjoyed both. Plus, our friendly server offered a side of ranch for my fries when I asked for no tomatoes on my burger....super nice touch!! And the ranch was delicious! My friend's turkey sandwich looked quite good too, and she enjoyed it. There weren't any service lags at all, and with good food at reasonable prices, I'll definitely be back to check out more of their menu.

Neighbor is a Northside gem and will be a new go to spot. We had a group of 5 and sat at one of their booths up front. All of the staff was so incredibly friendly and attentive. We ordered a round of appetizers the brussel sprouts, fried mac and cheese balls and the loaded fries. Mac and cheese balls with their ranch was to die for. For entrees the butter nut squash gnocchi was the winner of the table but everyone raved about their entrees. We also ordered deserts the brownie sundae and a slice of seasonal cheese cake. Multiple staff members checked in on us and we were even able to speak with the head chef! I loved how personable all of the staff were, it really felt neighborly. Can't wait to come back!! UPDATE: We've been coming back every week *will add new photos from each visit*

The staff was kind enough to seat us earlier than our original reservation, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated. I was also happy to see a decent number of gluten-free options. While the main dishes are a bit limited, most of the sides are gluten-free. Now for the food, the crispy chicken sandwich was the highlight of the meal. The Smashburger was also delicious. I ordered the rockfish without the bun, while my dad had it with the bun, and both were great. The beet salad was fresh and flavorful, and the fries were solid. The mac & cheese, unfortunately, was not good at all. On the plus side, the hot cider was delicious. Desserts were a bit of a mixed thoughts. The bread pudding was definitely the best one we tried and really enjoyable. However, the chocolate peanut butter pie was a big disappointment. It was extremely hard and cold (not pie texture), the peanut butter wasn't creamy at all, and it honestly tasted more like a protein bar loaded with sugar. The crust also tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while--disappointing. Overall, we still enjoyed our visit and many of the dishes were great, but the dessert experience could definitely be improved.

It's served with one whole waffle, two large pieces of fried chicken, and syrup on the side. The chicken was not seasoned as much as I hoped and wasn't as spicy as I expected, which was a bummer. The cheese grits were alright as well, but not as flavorful as I hoped. My partner ordered the Double Barrel Bowl, and he really enjoyed it. When arrived looks pretty much like former restaurant less decorations. Two groups seated about eleven persons. Bar was empty. Slowly filled two more tables and three or four at the bar. About 20 persons in total. Most of the visit, only single waitress serving tables and bar as long with busing tables. Kitchen is semi open. Only one person could be send in kitchen. Two persons only seemed understaffed for near full menu service and bar. No bus person, kitchen help, runner, or dish washer seen. Menu Asian fusion for lack of better term. Ordered scallion pancakes and spicy spring rolls. Service slow.... After ordering. Pancakes are one of my favorite snacks. Order portion size was large for appetizer. Scallion pancakes should be chewy with a flakey crust, savory with an onion punch from the scallions. These were chewy with no flakiness at all. Sort of like a flour tortilla with onion in the mix. The dip was like extra salty soy sauce spiked with raw ginger, strong and almost inedible. Then about five minutes later spring rolls arrived. Piping hot then down hill. First impression,, over cooked and greasy. Did not appear to have been drained. two small puddles of oil in dish below rolls. Sort of cross between lumpia and cha gio with appeal of neither. Noodles and meat wrapped together and fried. Favors muddled and greasy. Dipping sauce not much either. As a person who has sat through many food handlers permit classes. I witnessed a no-no with the waitress. Concerning.... It appears that disjointed service front to back needs improvement. Like location and ideas but without consistent execution it will likely fail in long run. Will be back?? Not likely Never say never. If still open this time next year?? Plus next block up there is very good ramen/Filipino/Vet place.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with a chopped cheese sandwich, let me break it down for you. A chopped cheese sandwich is when a burger is cooked steak and cheese style and put on a hoagie roll. This sounds like it should be a simple concept but so many sandwiches fall short of hitting the mark. THIS ONE DOES NOT! The meat on this sandwich is cooked wonderfully. The seasoning is perfect. The temperature is excellent. It's juicy and not any way overcooked. It smells amazing as soon as you open the bag. The fries are also a sticking point for me. They are golden brown and have just the right amount of salt and crunch to them without being dried out. My lunch is always really in minutes and I enjoy talking to the owner while I wait.
