The food quality is horrible. There is zero care put into the customer experience. Zaxby's model is repeatable and a Zalad should not come out with wilted lettuce. The grilled chicken was overcooked and hard and the bread was folded in half. The drive through was 15 minutes with only one car ahead. Dined in earlier this afternoon to eat a normal meal. While waiting at the counter I was noticed and ignored not acknowledged. Multiple workers were aware of me standing and waiting to be helped but did not do a thing. Once I ordered, I filled up my drink as a waited for my food. I saw my food was ready but no one was there to serve me. I waited over 5 minutes just for my food that was ready to handed to me. Food is good here . Better than chick fila . I love the Zax sauce ... friendly and clean . I get the signature sandwich everytime and it's never not good . I've been to multiple locations and honestly all of them are great . If you have alpha gal like I do , this is a great option . Just don't toast the bun , they use butter . The drive in window person did not put the to the sweet tea right and handed it to me in a way I could only grab it from the top and it came off just in time to dump over half of it in my lap. I ordered through the app and went to drivethru to ask if I could pick up at the window. Dude said, "yeah your order is ready, pull forward." I get to the window and waited 3+ min before anyone came to it. Then some lady walks between my car and the window to complain about her order. Instead of just telling this lady she could not do that, the employee sat there dumbfounded for a couple minutes. Finally she got the lady to go inside and then confirmed with me that I had the mobile order. Closed the window and had me waiting again for another couple of min. During which the employees were going back and forth on whether or not my drink was made. Why tf did I wait 6+ min to get my order which was supposed to be ready?? Yesterday was a mess. The line was long, but I love Zaxby's so we decided to wait. Big mistake. First; The floor in one section was so sticky you couldn't get your foot unstuck. It had 3 tables blocked, so there was less tables than there should be. The entire 45 minutes we were there, nobody bothered to clean the mess up. EVERY. SINGLE. TABLE was filthy and had not been cleaned. I actually had to clean my own table by getting rags out of the bathroom. THEN when somebody did come out to clean, they used dirty water and it made the tables worse! I mentioned it to the guy at the front and he sent the girl back out there to clean (and her attitude sucked). I thanked her for cleaning and we were so nice to her, but she couldn't even muster up a "have a nice day." The food was WAY overcooked. And I ordered 6 pieces of chicken. Note to the cook... If you order 6 pieces, you should get 6 pieces. Crumbs don't count. The whole experience was pretty awful. And to be honest, just unacceptable. Especially during COVID. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if this place got shut down due to the lack of cleanliness. I will let all my friends know as well. read more

I love Zaxby's but this location is far below average. They continually have their dining room closed OR are closed all together????? They routinely put a handmade paper sign on the drive thru and/or front door saying they are closed (during normal business hours). I sometimes drive several miles to eat at Zaxby's .... but no longer, you can't trust them to be open. I've even tried to call them to confirm they are open ( or closed ) ... no answer, so I assume they are closed again. But, when I drive by the location they have the drive thru open ( but not the dining room). Unfortunately, by that time I had eaten elsewhere. Sadly, this location is sure to be going out of business due to poor management. They also need to step up their training or get better employees ... most ( but not all ) of the employees have a terrible attitude or say nothing at all. read more

My stepchildren won't eat anything but chicken tenders and Zaxby's is one of their favorite places. The restaurant was decently clean and the food came our fairly quick. They do charge $0.25 for each extra Zaxby sauce. We ordered some cole slaw and didn't know it came in a 2oz sauce container that was filled about 1/3 way up for $0.49. I can understand charging for something extra but that's pretty ridiculous of the amount that they give you. I complained about this and the cashier came by and gave him a few more containers. There's nothing exceptionally fancy or spectacual about a Zaxby's. It's chicken tenders, and fries, and fast. My complaint about Zaxby's - you can get a grilled chicken sandwich, and you can get a grilled chicken breast on a salad, but you can't get grilled chicken tenders. I was spoiled for many years by Otter's (my true fav for chicken tenders) having a Franklin location as well as close to my office. But sadly, they over expanded, and now that treat is reserved for near office lunches only. The redeeming factor for Zaxby's, or the curse to end all curses, (depending on your waist line and what diet plan you're striving for), are the milkshakes. Oh.... the milkshakes. These days their shake-of-the-day is Brownie Bites. OMG. Really, OMG. Chocolate milk shake with tiny bits of brownie mixed in. Oh, my, goodness. Earlier this year is was a Birthday Cake Shake. A shake that tasted like yellow cake batter with little sugar sprinkles (truth be told, could've done without those) mixed in. Each of these hand dipped and mixed concoctions is topped with real whipped cream. The Zaxby's shakes are not on my diet plan these days, but the memory lingers. Forget the service, which is slow but doable. The real problem is the small portions! Their tenders are so damn small, you have to do a double-take to make sure they aren't nuggets! This would be ok if their prices were low, but Zaxby's is EXPENSIVE! If you want value, go a few doors down to Big Shakes Chicken and Fish, and note the word BIG in the title. (You can get plain tenders there if you don't like spicy.) THERE you can get 3 MASSIVE tenders for $10, vs. spending $10 at Zaxby's and still be starving to death! Pulled up at about 5:20 on 6/1. There were about 4 cars in front of me when a lady came out and told everyone in line that they would be closing at 6:00 due to staffing issues, no problem. She didn't tell us there wouldn't be time or to get out of line. After waiting in the drive through for 30 minutes for them to complete the few orders in front of us, we finally got to the speaker to order at 5:50. That is when we were told that they were closing at 6 and wouldn't be taking anymore orders. I said yes the lady told us that when we were in line but it wasn't 6 quite yet and we had been waiting for half an hour. They did not care, so we left. Will never be back. We were the first car that they denied service to, so i'm sure the line that formed after us shared the same sentiment. Sunday night 30 min until closing and the line was long for that time and the service was undoubtedly the best service I've had in a drive thru at Zaxby's. My order was fresh, correct, and worth the short wait. They even gave me a ranch packet without me asking. I hate that they put this Zaxbys in such a nice area cause my experience each time is not consistent. I work right across the street so this is an easy stop for lunch but it's never worth it. I always spend half the time waiting in line for food for my order to be wrong. Today I kept it simple and ordered a grilled chicken salad. For the price you would think they would always do the salads right. One day it's missing an egg. Another it's the bacon. Today it's half of my chicken filet. Great service, great food, clean environment. Always funny to see fast-food restaurant chains to have varying Yelp scores just miles from each other. Since they are all clones of each other, there's really no reason to score higher or lower unless the 1) service is bad or the 2) environment is dirty. I've liked this place for a while, but service has been really poor lately. One time, I ordered a Fanta Lime drink in drive-thru. Got it, no problem. I ask for the same thing on a later visit--they have it plain as day on their drive-thru menu: Coca-Cola FREESTYLE, so if it's on their menu, then it's fair game for ordering, just like anything else they have, barring whatever happens to be unavailable at the time. I order the very same thing I ordered last time: A Fanta Lime. Their response? "....we have Mountain Dew....." I follow up and say, "No, that's not what I want. You serve Coca-Cola Freestyle products; I got it last time." Their response: "......we have Coca-Cola products...." I should have persisted, but I settled with a Dr. Pepper. If you're dining in, GO TO THE OTHER FRANKLIN LOCATION! We were here on Tuesday Aug 7th around dinner time. They are so understaffed that people were waiting a long time for their food. We wound up waiting close to half an hour for ours. My husband commented to me when he got back to the table that he didn't get so much as an apology for the wait. I understand they don't *have* to say anything, but on top of the wait, nearly all the drink flavors were out at the soda machine. Not a big deal except when you buy a drink thinking they have it in stock and they don't. It would have been nice to have a refund or a sign put up at the very least so people don't spend money on literally nothing. The poor girl working the front was also taking Drive-Thru orders by herself. I had to go up there twice (once for a water cup, another for to-go box) and only saw two other people working. They were in the kitchen cooking. It stinks there was only two other people because the trash was overflowing, the drinks as mentioned were out, and people were waiting a long time. If there was more than one person working the front/taking orders, someone could have fixed these other issues. Another lady waited so long that when I went to get a box, she turned around and asked if another Zaxbys was nearby. I told her I'm not too familiar with the area yet, but that there is another. So let's get right to it, I ordered a kids grilled cheese amongst other things. They didn't give us the grilled cheese. So we circle back around. They had not given us a receipt during our prior order. So when they ask for a receipt of course we can't provide one. Therefore I repay for my grilled cheese after the manager found the order in the system. And am then told to move up and wait for which has now been 15 minutes. I have now circled this drive through 2 times and have waited a total of 30 minutes for a piece of cheese and bread. Not mad, just annoyed. read more
