My pieces of chicken were more tepid than piping hot, but they weren't hard at all. My drumsticks were especially on the tender side. The mashed [potatoes and gravy my not have been the greatest, but I gobbled them down. My wife ate all their slaw and loved it. Now to rate this KFC. I came at 5 o clock on a Sunday evening it was a African American women and a younger white guy working they asked me to move out front and park and they would bring my food out I said there is a car Infront of me and I can't get around them and there is no one behind me I would like to get my food in drive thru like a normal business would. The manager decided to argue with me and slam the drive thru window shut yelling at me and called the cops on me for not moving out of drive thru. The cops came they said it was ridiculous for them to call the cops on me and waste their time for something they should have done from the beginning. Said hello 3 times, backed up and approached again still no one acknowledged us. I called to ask if they were open and said that we have sitting at drive thru to order. When I got to KFC, the workers were arguing with each other and they said they had no chicken at all, so they asked one of their coworkers to drop the chicken and she refused to because she said it's too late. I had to call my customer and have them cancel their order The customer next to me in the store had already paid for his order online, and they said they couldn't give him his order and they wouldn't give him a refund either. Arrived at 11:55 and was told it would pop up at 12. Ten minutes later a young man asked for my name and I told him my last name (I am 78), he said we do not have an order for you. I showed him my online confirmation and he said, "dont matter, we aint got an order for you bro". This KFC location has been going downhill for sometime now. And this time was the worst. The corn and green beans that we ordered tasted like it was basting in vinegar. Redialing received the unwelcome squeeee, buh-lee, buh-squeedelee of a fax machine modem. It's a swing and a miss for strike one. I pulled back into the drive-through line behind other cars that arrived as I wasted time calling for pickup. Sitting in the drive-through line with everyone else just now placing new orders is the only way to retrieve your scheduled pick-up. When I arrived at the microphone I was instructed: "Please pull through." "O.K., uh, do I pull up to a specific place for online orders?" "No, just pull up to the window." Strike two. Five minutes later, I have my warm, yet, stale order with warm, iceless tea and cold, stale, oil-drowned fries. Strike three. The chicken and its batter are over an' outta here. O.K., buckaroos. You're going to have to decide whether this is really worth your support. Yum! Brands was clearly struggling across all product lines before the challenges of the pandemic. The last KFC I went to was in Antioch, it was an absolute cess pit with food all over the floor, staff that didn't give a shit, and the guy getting a blowie from the $4 hooker in the car park was getting more love than the food here. Just had two of their fill-up meals for my wife and I. This had to be the worst meal we have every had at a KFC. There was absolutely no spices on the chicken. I mean - NONE AT ALL, just the coating with no spices. There used to be some spice in the gravy - NONE THERE EITHER. The Dr. Pepper was a very weak Coke, at best. The biscuits have been reduced about 50% in size. I was at the drive-up window and you can see the chaos, dirt, and poor management of the back room. It was a TOTAL MESS. All of the masks were pulled down off of the faces of those working there. KFC used to be a place where you could go to get a nice meal. Not this particular franchise (if it is a franchise and not corporate owned). If this is a franchise, KFC should seriously consider pulling its authorization to carry the KFC name. The cookies that came with the meal MUST have been at least 2-3 months old. Hard as a rock and completely dried out. Awful. This was an absolute horrible experience. My husband got us a $20 fill-up of crispy fried chicken for supper tonight. Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be good but we had the worst chicken.....the chicken was so over cooked that the skin was hard and the chicken was so dry we could hardly eat it.
