First time trying Zaxby's. It was close to the hotel and we were looking for some lunch. B remembers his granny's bringing him here when he was younger and would visit Portland, TN during the summers. Franklin, KY isn't far from there. I was excited to try something that was nostalgic for B. Upon entering, I immediately noticed how clean and spacious Zaxby's was. Everything was neatly organized and the restrooms were super clean. The cashier was friendly and quick. Our order was ready in no time, it all came out nice and hot. Their sweet tea is on point! We enjoyed our meal and I really appreciate that the chicken wasn't overly salty or greasy. Napkins, drinks, etc. are within reach. The ambiance is laid back. So glad I got to try Zaxby's for the first time.

These clowns put coleslaw in the container with hot food Instead of putting it in a separate container like normal.

Went last night to get a few meals for my family and I used curbside for the first time. Wound up being my fault that I sat there so long without getting my food because the sign says that you need to call to tell them. how is it that your team has not implemented location services in a sophisticated way to know when someone shows up in the parking lot for their order? Why don't you have an option on the app to dictate that you have arrived and what spot you're in? I have an email confirmation where there is a button to click on that says I'm here but why on earth isn't that implemented in the app? Me calling: ... MOD: Zaxby's this is (I don't remember his name) Me: yes, I just came to the drive-through and got a couple of meals and one of my meals was a five piece tender plate, and I only received three tenders.. MOD: hm okay the next time you come through we will throw two extra tenders in the bag for you.. Me: ...okay. MOD: what is your name? Me: *says name* MOD: okay we got you thanks bye I know that issues need to reach the surface to also shed light on solutions but I wound up having to call because I ordered a five piece tender plate and I was only given three. I paid for five and when you call anywhere to let them know about a mistake with your order and they are truly going to correct it they typically write down your name and what you had or your phone number in some kind of a log. This dude asked me what my name was and said next time I come through they will throw an extra two tenders in with whatever I buy, but there's no way he wrote down my name or anything about me. So I will come through the drive-through or come in explaining the situation and how I was told they would just throw in two extra tenders and whoever the manager on duty is if it isn't him are going to look at me like I'm some kind of idiot like why would we do that? We don't have any information about what you're talking about. Because we got off the phone so fast, so why would they have that information? I don't care about two chicken tenders. I was sharing my meal with my one year-old daughter, so I wanted there to be enough for both of us. This is about the execution of your team and who is putting these orders together. I couldn't gaf about getting anything for free. This about business retention consumer relations. A job is a job is a job to many people and you're not going to get them to care. To that manager on duty, it's more so about the fact that someone is calling trying to get something for free. "Do you think I'm going to give you a whole other meal just because of two tenders?" they may have a district manager who is on them about food cost and giving too much food away for free because they are not more consistent. That literally has nothing to do with me if that is the case. Do better than you have been doing. If a customer calls you because the order isn't exactly what they ordered especially for the money they paid then just make it right because that goes a whole lot further than you trying to make up for what they were missing by only giving them what they were missing. go above and beyond as a leader, and use experiences like these to grow and improve rather than at like "look what you were doing to me!" But now I know better. #nocapwiththefacts

TLC chicken sandwich was dry/over cooked. Partial tomato more like a sliver out on with other slice. Boneless inferno. Made my tongue numb and it tasted good. Fried cheese bites. Did they just get these from Kroger? Nothing special.

Best mushrooms ever!

I think I have now officially tried all chain chicken restaurants and this one has my vote for the best. Chicken strips were consistent at both locations we tried. The spicy mushrooms were amazing, even after getting soggy which blew my mind. Chicken is juicy at all times. Super fast service as well. Wings are not worth trying, just average. I hope zaxby's makes it further north one day because I don't want to have to drive 7 hours for chicken, but I would!

The HomePlace - Catfish and Fish & Shrimp Combo w/ 2 sides

The HomePlace

I am absolutely enamored with The Homeplace after just one visit…read more You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you -- super easy and efficient. If you want the salad bar, it's chock full of options. Grab a plate or bowl, pile it high, add your dressing, then weigh it at the register to pay. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with green beans and sweet potato fries (around $13). This was hands down the best fried catfish I've ever had. The seasoning was incredible, and somehow none of the fried food was greasy -- not even my husband's fried okra (which was also the best I've ever tasted). We ordered chicken nuggets for my kiddo ($7), and I'm pretty sure they make them in-house. They were shaped like dinosaurs but actually full of real chicken -- moist, flavorful, and honestly the best nuggets I've had anywhere. The building is brand new, ultra clean, and decorated adorably. It's very kid-friendly, and the staff couldn't have been kinder. They keep a variety of sauces on each table (Louisiana hot sauce, A1, ketchup, tartar sauce, and more), which is such a nice touch. I truly can't find a single fault and already can't wait to come back. One tip: it fills up quickly at dinner -- but tables turn over fast, so don't let that scare you off!

Colorado Grill - Cowboy Pork Ribeye

The cowboy pork ribeye was huge, thick, juicy and delicious! The large sweet potato was cooked to perfection and topped with a cinnamon honey like butter and brown sugar.... Yummy. The pepper beef soup was spicy and my husband loved it. The fried green tomatoes were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside and well pared with the accompanying sauce. The meal came with a round loaf of bread that was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. We are so happy with this recommendation and if you're in Franklin Kentucky don't pass this one up, it is well worth a stop. My pictures were taken after we started eating and realized this is a fantastic restaurant, so they don't do the food justice.

I ordered a Mushroom and Swiss burger with an unsweetened ice tea. The burger was huge and cooked exactly like I had ordered. There was no sauce on the burger---instead it comes with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. I preferred mine without the pickles and with A1, which the server brought. This was a great stop when traveling between Huntsville and Nashville. I recommend you give it a try!

The only other place that ever came close was a falafel place in San Jose, California. I have been to many states searching for a great falafel. This is the place. Let me start with the positives…read more..... Small town vibe, with great location right off the square in Downtown Franklin, KY. The decor is very chill. Now the negatives. I really had high hopes but was disappointed. The Station is new so I understand that they will suffer some growing pains and I hope my review is more of a opportunity to fix a few things than to run them down because that's not what I'm trying to do at all. The menu really appeared to be cheap options that are easy to fix, however it was not cheap. I have the Chicken Croissant with potato salad and chips. There was very little chicken salad in a big Croissant and it wasn't very tasty. The potato salad, which is probably the best potato salad I've ever had, but there was little more than an ice cream scoop. And to top it off, a handful of chips. This was a $10 meal without the drink. I requested an Arnold Palmer. Unfortunately, they only had lemonade in a bottle so even though we are in the south, I was turned down on the Arnold, so I got just sweet tea, which wasn't very good and tasted like it came from a jug. My families meals weren't much different than mine, in that there was little meals but price was high for what we got. Will I try it again, yes. But I'll wait for a while and hope that as they become more established that's they made some changes. Still glad they chose to invest in Franklin.
