He explained the menu and checked on us after the food came out. I heard Jeff tell someone they've been open for 20 years!! I have never seen them back behind Rylan's before! They are kind of hidden. I wish they had Coke instead of Pepsi products but I need to drink more water anyway. The place was clean and comfy. We got the brisket plate with Mac-n-cheese & cornbread. Currently ranked 2/10 by Best Things Kentucky. Because of this high rating, I decided to make a detour en route from Nashville to Atlanta and give it a try. A pulled pork sandwich and order of "hog" (=seasoned) fries came to $8.78. They were short staffed, and the dining room was closed, so I ended up at the drive-thru and then eating on a picnic bench in a cold wind. No matter. One bite of the pulled pork, and it was clear that I had happened upon BBQ nirvana. The pork is so beautifully smoked that I urge everyone to sample it plain before trying the sauce that came with the order. The seasoned fries, which appear to have been given a dash of rub, complemented the meat beautifully. This is great BBQ, and well worth the few minutes that it takes to come into town from the interstate. read more

Dined here in early September - highly recommend if you are in the area (we drove a good 30 mins and it was worth it!). You can order online or give them a call. They have a pick up window around the back or you can wait in the parking lot. There is space to eat outside - picnic tables outside or a covered patio. I suggest the covered patio as the bugs love the food as much as you will!! I got the ribs - so good! The meat was tender and fell easily off the bone. The BF got the pulled pork sandwich with sides of baked beans and mac and cheese. He also enjoyed the pulled pork! I tried the mac and cheese and the beans - make sure to keep stomach space for these sides - they are delish!! I really have nothing bad to report. Stopped in while traveling with my family. Found WB&G on a whim and I am pleased to say we were glad we did. We were greeted with a hearty welcome, the menu was explained to us, placed our order and the next thing we knew we were eating some very good food. Hands down the best BBQ place in Kentucky! I enjoy lunch or dinner quite often here the staff are always friendly the restaurant is always clean inside and out. The bbq is so good. We stopped here randomly in our way back to Nashville. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The pulled pork was amazing and the fried apples were super toasty. A true hidden gem. Let me start off by saying, we are traveling the country trying distilleries, breweries and BBQ. We stumbled upon this place by luck. We were around the corner at dueling grounds distillery and asked if there's any thing to eat within walking distance. He highly recommended this place. We walked there with low expectations being that it's hidden in a industrial area and never heard of it. Wow, what a great surprise. This is some of the best BBQ I've had. I would compare this to the best Texas bbq and better than any of the Carolina's bbq. I don't want to name places but yes I'm comparing it to the famous and award winning places with the lines that sell out daily. They had 5 house made bbq sauces. All were excellent. We ordered a lot of food so I don't want to list everything, but not one item we got I wouldn't hesitate to order again. My husband and I were traveling home to Indiana from Florida, stopping for the night in Franklin. We wanted something to eat but not a full meal, and not a fast food burger, so we decided to give Wildfire a try. We were lucky enough to make it there about 6:40 -- they close at 7:00 -- but Jeff was very welcoming and told us not to rush our meal. We both love brisket so that's what we ordered. It had a true smoked flavor and just the right amount of fat. I used the sweet & smokey BBQ sauce which was really good. My husband liked it too but decided the sauce wasn't needed, the meat was too good on its own. We had the option of having the sandwich on Texas toast, and that was a nice treat. On a Facebook group I saw where Wildfire BBQ was mentioned because someone was looking for good places to eat here in Franklin and I was like you know we still haven't eaten there. So tonight we started to try Wildfire BBQ and it was pretty good. It was good enough to make me want to come back. The white beans didn't really have enough of that like ham hock flavor and the mac and cheese was nothing real special but the coleslaw was great. Everything is probably better if you come to the restaurant and you eat it there but we had errands to run and we're not able to eat until we got home. the brisket was good. I expected it to be a little more juicy than it was. The shoulder was pretty good and the pulled pork was good as long as you made like a sandwich and put some sauce on it. I don't think it's standed up real great by itself because it tastes pretty plain in my opinion. And the reviews I see a lot of people Rave about the half chicken and the ribs . I will be trying the ribs next time and my wife will try something else. But all in all this was a pretty good place because I have pretty high standards for barbecue and the surrounding areas do not have great barbecue or I just don't know about the places that do have it. We also got dinner around 5:45 so maybe it being hour and 15 minutes before they close had something to do with it but if you're putting out good barbecue then the close time literally does not matter. All in all though it was pretty decent place. I give it a 7.3 which is acceptable. Staff was patient and thorough when i asked a lot of questions with it being our first time. I spent almost 30 on two plates of food that were worth 20. Good food is worth good money as long as they align but sometimes they don't. read more

Came here after craving for BBQ and found this place on Yelp. The GPS told me some round about way to get there so it was a bit confusing finding it (I ended up going in through the back roads instead of through the main road, strange). It was a little confusing to figure out how it worked but pretty much you walk up to the counter, place your order (for either take out or eat in). If you eat in, the receipt will have a number and wait for that number to be called. They will place the food next to the cashier and you pick it up. The place seemed to have lots of potential. When I walked in, even though customers were walking in it looks like they knew the customers that were already there. So I think a lot of locals go there and many of them are probably regulars. Super big plus was, who I think was the owner (?) came through the dining room and thanked everyone for stopping by and hoped that we enjoyed our food. It's very rare to see a manager/owner stop by and say that to everyone. Wish he introduced himself so we could know who he was. Everything seemed to be going in the right direction but I have 2 main reasons why I gave it 2 stars. I expected the baby back ribs to be fall off the bone good but unfortunately, it wasn't. It was flavorful but I almost broke my knife and fork (possibly also due to cheap quality of the utensils) trying to cut my ribs apart. The BIG reason why I didn't enjoy my experience is because of the flies inside the restaurant. I was surprised to see this because they have a front porch area that's closed so I would think their "fly traffic" would be less because they'd need to go through the porch and then into the restaurant. Unless they have some door opened in the kitchen that's causing all these flies. Literally every 1-2 minutes, I had to shoo away a fly that was trying to attack my soda or my ribs. What worries me more is that if a fly is trying to attack my food while I'm sitting there, I can only imagine what it might be doing when it's traveling in the kitchen. I really wanted to go back to my car and just eat my food there because these flies were really bothering me. read more

I'm from Georgia and I was in the area on business and read the reviews on Wildfire BBQ. I'm glad I stopped. They have smoked chickens, pulled pork, brisket, ham and some other items. Everything I tried was great. I had no complaints. It's a small family owned place and the people were very welcoming. If you like vinegar based sauce they got it, if you like sweet & smokey sauce they got it, if you like the XXX hot BBQ sauce they got it. Also I would recommend the dry rubbed chicken over the plain.
