I know there's tons of bad reviews on this place but I just want to be the one to give a good one since this location was the first location that I tried Zaxby's in and now I know a better chicken than Popeyes and the zaxby's sauce is amazing and Texas toast is great as well. Everything should just be a tad less salty and then it would be perfect but I have a bland profile. Also the fried pickles are fried to perfection! The drive thru was fast and easy in the middle of the day and service was nice and efficient. Can't ask for anything more. read more

I go to the drive thru to order a couple milkshakes on Sunday evening 6/1/25. Upon ordering, the worker tells me he has to check if the milkshake machines are working. After a brief pause, he confirms they are working & I proceed with my shake order & a small fries. After waiting 10 mins in the drive thru I finally get to the window, only to be told my the worker that the milkshake machine is now broken and asked if I wanted to replace those 2 with any other drinks. I am always in search of something new. The commercial made the 3 chicken finger tacos sound and look good. More like 3 chicken finger splatter, or a "garbage plate." Pretty disgusting! Compare the commercial picture to my picture. Vegetables looked old and wilted. There were about four pieces of lettuce on each taco. Chicken fingers tasted like they were soaking wet... no crispiness to them at all. Two tacos had strands of cheese while one had no cheese at all. BTW- You can't get a mix of Chipotle Ranch and Avocado Ranch tacos. Same price, but you can't mix them up. Not sure why I had to pull up and wait just to be handed a baby's diaper. Stay out the taco business! My $12 would have been better spent elsewhere. I don't believe it is the franchise. I believe it is this store because this is definitely not the first issue I've had with this store. read more

Let me start off by saying I ordered a grape Hi-C and got some different flavor, not even sure what it was but I didn't bother telling them as they had a bit of an attitude. Was told to pull forward and was made wait for another 30 minutes. A worker gave food to people behind us during this wait as well. I also ordered fries with extra seasoning, but when I got my order my fries had little to no seasoning and my sandwich was DRENCHED in sauce? Didn't even have a napkin to clean my hand covered in sauce smh. read more

Service is super super slow. Bathrooms are dirty and only 1 soap dispenser works. No paper towels. I don't like using my wet hands on pulling doors open! It's unsanitary! Also why does it take 20 minutes to get chicken tenders and a side? read more

We waited 45 minutes in the drive thru. Out of the 3 meals we ordered, they got ONE right. Extremely frustrating!

I recently just came to this zaxbys to get dinner. First off, I could barely order because the girls at the drive through were laughing and talking into the mic so loud while asking me what I would like. Finally, I get my order then. Second off, I get up to the window and sit there while they're talking loudly and cussing to where I can hear through the window. They take my payment and push my card back at me, talk to me with very short responses and only put half my meal in the bag with no sauce or forks. Maybe this is the exception but this was my experience. read more

The workers here are extremely Rude and horrible. They kept on rolling their eyes and continue to talk back even when we gave them the warmest smile and the kindest words. This really ruined my day and my Zaxby's experience. I WILL NOT be coming back. read more

We tried Zaxby's for the first time. I got the chicken finger sandwich while my chose the grilled chicken sandwich. We both got fries and a drink. Overall, not impressed. The chicken fingers were dry and small. There was a long line at the drive thru and it seemed like forever to just order our meals. I'm glad we tried it just to try it but doubt very much that we'll be back. Since it was close to our house, I was hoping for much better food. Oh well, can't win them all. read more

This Zaxby's was disappointing at best. Way too jam packed and not able to handle the demand. We had to wait 20 mins for our food which seems a little much for a fast food joint. They gave the eight people that ordered after us their food before us. The food didn't seem to have the normal quality but that could have been due to the poor service. One of my favorite Zaxbys of all times. Much much better experience than the review I shared about the Hendersonville Rd. Location. Again, did an online order. I showed up two minutes early and the nice folks at this location scrambled to finish the order (though they didn't have to). A nice gentleman named Zavros helped me. Was his first day on the job, but he was enthusiastic and confident. He also took a second to verify my order was correct. Wanted to give credit where credit is due. My chicken was fresh and hot, and the slaw was cold and crispy. Unlike our pals at the other location who served me hot slaw and cold chicken :) Way to go Smokey Park Hwy. location, keep up the excellent work! read more

The food is always great and the quality is consistent. However, no matter what time of day I go, the drive-thru always takes a long time. You can be the only person in line and still have to wait. The amount of times they've forgotten my kid's milk for his meal or shorted us another item has been more often than acceptable. Luckily I only live a few minutes away. Still, I shouldn't have to drive back and ask for my order (of only a few items) to be corrected. To the owner: work on these things and this location will be awesome. I do really like the new Asheville mural painted on the wall of the parking lot. Very neat! read more

This place besides playing the Duck Dynasty tv ad, a year back tonight while eating in dining room they played loudly gospel music! Total lack of concern about being netural as a business is a in your face slap of political church! It seems they want to serve that more than chicken! I live 1 minute from this location and have been through the drive thru a half dozen times. I keep hoping the time it takes to get my order will improve, but it hasn't. I usually order the traditional wings and they have been decent. But, it takes anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes to get my order at the drive thru. I submitted a complaint online to Zaxby's. The manager called me and apologized, but nothing has improved. The staff is not very well trained and extremely inefficient. I won't waste my time there again. read more

Stopped here during our road trip as we wanted lunch and are fans of Zaxby's. This location looked very new. When we came in we had a to wait a minute or two to be served as the team was busy scurrying around behind the counter but there was no one at the register. The team member that worked the register didn't have a pleasant demeanor, not mean, but not pleasant. She was working towards being efficient I imagine. We ordered the chicken finger plate and it took a while. Usually this order comes through pretty quickly as it's basic: chicken finger, fries, and toast. However, this took a while. When we got the order it was missing a sauce so I let them know and it was on the tray they just forgot to put it in the bag. The food was good but the experience with the staff was forgettable which is why this is a two, I have experienced better specifically at other Zaxby's. If we're in the area again we may or may not stop here again. read more

It's good for what it is, but one thing I will note is the service isn't very good. They can be quite rude, and I've ordered both in drive through and inside the restaurant, and I didn't enjoy either. Wasn't very good, and I'm sold on the reason for that being almost all the staff is teenagers who would rather be on the phone than on the clock. read more

Zaxby's is AWESOME & this location is not only friendly but efficient. The food is always hot even when we get home. Even at rush hour we made good time up to the window... Normally I don't drink iced tea "out" but their tea changed my mind. The 98.5 sanitation rating doesn't hurt either! Way to go! read more
