Firehouse Subs - Brisket! So yummy!!!! - Fast Food Near Me - Arden, North Carolina

this place sucks Hadn't been to firehouse subs in five years because of the service it was awful back then. Came to the one in Arden a few weeks ago and the service was odd. It must have been this register girls first job, she was so timid, she was shaking and did not know how to operate the register, I felt bad for her as no other employees initially helped her. Eventually someone came to help and they too had low confidence, no hello, eye contact etc. Despite the strangeness it was good and I would've given it a three out of five stars, they did take a long time but I prob due to the new employee and lack there of. As I was leaving, there were employees tossing bags of chips behind the counter, but you get out of your employee what you put in . Secondly, and most importantly, I very very very recently went into firehouse subs in Arden. No one acknowledged me. There were about five people sitting down waiting for their subs. I read the room and quickly I understood that it was busy, but no employee even looked at me as I stared over the register...no eye contact not once. Finally it got to the point where I had to reach out to the employee - "you look pretty busy how long do you think it'll be" and the answer I got was a murmur.. more or less .."it'll be a while" followed by a loud stress sigh -"not to be particular but about how many minutes" she looked up "30". I left. As stated I worked in the industry, but whoever owns this franchise you need to work on training your employees. I came in with my grandson for takeout lunch, and the bill was 35.00!! Unfortunately, I did not get a receipt, or I lost it but that is crazy!!! Will rethink spending that kind of money on lunch. read more

Placed online order. They didn't have it. Showed him the receipt, and Instead of just making the order from the receipt I showed them, he said nothing I can do, you'll have to call customer service. Called them, and they also did not offer to call the store to get the order made. The lifeless employees at this location did not care at all. Customer service also told me they couldn't give me a refund either. So I don't get the food or a refund. The obvious thing to do, would have been for the guy to just look at my receipt and make the food. How hard is that? read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Ordered 2 subs, waited 20 minutes. I go home and one is made completely wrong, rang up correctly but obviously the girl making the subs didn't follow directions. Very un happy that I have to drive back and not eat dinner with my significant other. I drive back and Mason tells me no problem they will remake it and make it a large due to the inconvenience. I wait 17 more minutes and my sub is made, but it's only a medium. I go to counter and tell the other gentleman and he says he is the mgr and it wasn't the other person's call yo upsize it for the inconvenience. I explained I am unaware of who the manger is and all I want is something to make up for their mistake. My wife and I walked in and no one acknowledged us. There were two clerks out front busy with something. After being ignored for several minutes I said "Hello??" and no one responded. My wife said "guess we'll have to call corporate" and one of the two clerks ignoring us finally looked up and said "Oh, sorry, didn't see you come in". Yeah, right. He took our order and then had to go in back to get change for our payment. The manager came back out with him and yelled at him in front of us for leaving the register. Excellent service with a smile! Sandwiches are amazing. Restaurant exceptionally clean. Outside tables and family atmosphere!

My wife and I ordered subs and drinks in the store. After 25 minutes, still no subs. They assured us the order was still in the system. After another 15 minutes we gave up and asked for our money back. They said maybe someone else picked them up. I wouldn't waste my time here, they seem to do mostly pick up orders and don't care about walk in customers. read more

Staff was friendly, theme is cool, food is mehhh. They were out of a few things too. I want to like Firehouse, some of my friends like it, but I've had two bad experiences... first time I got a cold sub and when I got home the bread was like a wet sponge and the second time the steak tasted so cheap. Been here way too many times to count and the service & food is always excellent. Eat here once and you'll be hooked. My favorite is the Hook & Ladder...Smoked Turkey Breast, Virginia Baked Ham and melted Monterey cheese...oh it's sooo good!! Never been there before, but HOLY MACKEREL it was quality. Very short wait time, extremely polite staff, they brought the food to our table, and the sammich (cheddar brisket btw) was absolutely incredible. Literally the best sandwich I've had at a chain establishment. read more
