I am only reviewing the Large Cajun Fries. I am simply not a fan of their burgers, especially with the steep prices. But the Cajun Fries are a standout at any price! Too greasy for many, but that just makes the seasoning cling in heavy amounts. Great flavor, good amount of heat and not too salty. And with the Large order I have more than enough for my craving, I can share if need be and still have a handful to cut up and make hashbrowns in the morning. YUMMO! Service and atmosphere were adequate with no issues. I understand why they don't get a thumbs up from everyone, but I sure do want their Cajun Fries to remain an option in the area. Lunch on Sunday. Cashier made me order each topping one at a time. I wanted everything but ketchup and mushrooms but she wanted to select one at a time. I ordered a hamburger. Two thin overcooked Pattie's and a bottom bun like a soggy diaper. Great fries cooked in peanut oil. Too many but great fries. The cashier stared at me until I stared back. Creeped me out. Despite a masks being required according to the signage, when people entered without face coverings they were not asked to cover up. I asked the staff providing my meal if they were no longer required & was told they were not enforcing it. My family has high risk members. We enjoyed the safety the mask requirement provided as we came by each week. We won't be back as it's not a safe environment for my family. read more

This is a franchise but it's always good the only recommendation I can make is just to make sure that you get your fries extra crispy because they can get a little soggy sometimes however they do have a new ordering system for their call in orders and it works perfectly I've used it twice now and my order was 100% correct I was able to add or make changes on the order very easily every restaurant should have this Call in order system read more

This is my third Five site.(Boone, Greenville) I have learned NOT to order the regular bigger and large fry! The small burger is plenty. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, onion and pickles. Love the hand cut fries, wife got the Cajun fries, perfect amount of seasoning. The inside sitting area is a tad smaller than the others I've been to but there is another sitting area inside but with the feel of being outside with the big bay doors. My husband brought me here for lunch at 2:00 on a Saturday. We were both hangry and expecting a quick burger since they weren't that busy. We were number 84 to be called on our food. They called numbers 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83... then... 86, 85 and finally... 84. (I should probably point out there were more numbers called than people in the establishment waiting for food, so I think one of the patrons was a food delivery service.) I watched as they bagged up and handed me my burger that had been sitting on the prep table for about 5-7 minutes. Needless to say, my burger was cold. Luckily for them, I was so hungry that I didn't care that it was cold and scarfed that puppy down fast. Ironically, the burger was still good even cold. Lol. So yeah, my only criticism for this joint is to not leave hangry customers waiting for their food. read more

Gross. Ordered curbside to go. First of all, order was incorrect. The lettuce, ketchup and mustard I ordered was left off my burger. The beef was not well-cooked at all - bright red in center which is disgusting as well as possibly unsafe to eat. Fries were partially burned. Overall quite a disappointment. Five Guys to me is the burger standard that I kind of compare all other burger joints to. The Gerber Village location is in a great South Asheville location, close to everything on Hendersonville Rd. Walking in, you order your food at the counter, and they give you a number for them to call for your food. It's pretty standard and simple. They have a large eating area, and a large covered patio, drink machine for you to pick your pleasure on sodas. Food usually is pretty quick coming out. The burgers are cooked well, I get my burger in a lettuce wrap, which they do a better wrap that any other place we have went. They also have milkshakes. When you order fries, be prepared for a LOT of fries. They fill the fry container and more. Usually a small fry is enough to share between two people easily. All of the toppings for the burgers have always been fresh, and my only complaint is that they do not have ranch dressing, (which is a big deal for me). Five Guys is really the place to go to get a really good, juicy burger. It's always consistent and good each and every time we go. The restaurant just got remodeled, and so i am excited to see how it looks. The staff there is always friendly and really pay attention to your order. Nothing we have ever ordered has been incorrect. The prices are a little high for a burger and fries. For the boyfriend and me, it's usually around $35-$40. But, we don't mind paying for great food, and for a fast, yummy, super good burger, we can always depend on Five Guys to hand it over in a big brown paper bag. read more

This the second successive unsatisfactory experience I've had at this location. I ordered online for takeout a cheeseburger (and fries) with four toppings. I included a 15% tip in advance. It has been my experience that they don't cook the burger until you arrive. This way it's fresh and hot. Tonight, it was all bagged up when I got there. I lifted the bag and it felt unusually light but I didn't think too much about it. When I got home I was disheartened to see that the burger had been cooked (well done!) well before I arrived and there were ZERO toppings on the burger. I suppose I should be grateful there was cheese! I used to enjoy this place but this was probably my last visit. RECOMMENDATIONS: If you are going to tip, don't do it in advance. And check your order before you leave the store. read more

Having read several glowing reviews about how wonderful Five Guys burgers are, we were very much looking forward to giving them a try. It was nice to be warmly greeted by a friendly staff. We were advised to order just a regular sized French Fries to share, and that was good advice. There were plenty and they tasted great, probably among the best we've had. The burgers on the other hand were very disappointing - would you believe their nutritional information states their weight at 94 grams. Wonder why they don't list the weight in ounces? That's because 94 grams equals 3.3 ounces! That's miniscule! No wonder all the toppings are free - the price for a burger is over $7, well over that for a cheeseburger. The quantity of onions and mushrooms on my cheeseburger was sparse. I can't say the taste was bad - it was nice and juicy with the toppings I chose, just way too little meat - and toppings. We won't be going back - way too overpriced. Actually, Hendersonville's Hardee's burgers taste better - just wish they would solve their employee and sanitation problems. For deluxe burgers we like those from Hendersonville's Two Guys Pizza and Ribs. They're huge and delicious. We won't be paying a repeat visit to Five Guys. read more

The crew, no matter which Five Guys you go to, makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Order your burger and fries (normal size fry feeds two TRUST ME! Do Not Get LARGE!). The sign says all toppings are free, but they are in the price so may as get it all the way and then some. The other places charge for BACON. While you're anxiously waiting for your burger and mountain of fries, snack on complementary peanuts (if you have a peanut allergy, go to McDonald's, the fries are cooked in peanut oil too for best flavor). My only complaint would be that my order was done before I finished my tray of peanuts! read more

Husband and boys liked their burgers just fine, but were disappointed in the buns; seems like they came from the grocery store and they were pretty small. Back to the veggie sandwich. Same bun used. The onions were chopped, and they fell out all over. The used the same "setup" (lettuce and tom) as for the burgers, the mushrooms were canned, and there was maybe one strip of red pepper.
