I got the Italian beef sandwich this time (highly recommend), and it was genuinely perfect. My mom got the meatloaf sandwich which was very tasty, and my dad really enjoyed his Carolina dog. Will forever praise the sweet potato fries, but the onion rings knock it out of the open as well, especially alongside the dipping sauce they provide with them. So weirdly expensive for a hot dog joint. 2 Dawgs and fries will have you in the $20 range. I had the chili cheese dawg which was good as well as a corn dog and tots. I later added a vanilla shake which was another ten dollars. It was all good and the shake was fantastic but it was over $30 per person. For a hot dog shack! They literally have two $11 hot dogs...what? My daughter's Philly Cheese was a steak sandwich. Not thinly sliced steak but great honking chunks of steak. It was a tough sandwich to get down. Service was fast and friendly and the restaurant had a run down diner vibe. You could probably pare it down to $20 a person but that is still bonkers for sandwich and fries. Big credit goes to Corky's for serving Vienna Hot Dogs from Chicago on poppy seed buns! The cost is a little more than what you'd pay for the exact same thing in Chicago, but you're not in Chicago! My favorite is the fried brussel sprouts- pro tip: ask for the sauce on the side since it can be a little cloying and on the side you can control how much you get. All the dogs are great. What I hate are those plastic baskets with the paper liner. I aways end up shredding the paper and ingesting some of the paper. My mom and I are passing through town and decided we needed some BBQ. I checked my go-to Yelp reviews and found this place just down the road. The inside is super cute and we instantly knew this was going to be a fun place. The young girl at the counter taking our order was super nice and helpful answering our questions. I orders the bbq plate which is 1/2 rack of ribs with pulled pork and cole slaw. Mom got a 1/2 rack of ribs. We really loved the ribs and cole slaw! Fantastic hotdog probably the best here in Brevard. I'm kind of simplistic on my hotdog where I only want mustard and onions and they serve them perfectly. We weren't a fan of the ribs or bbq pork in the bbq plate. My son ordered a chili cheese hotdog with "no onions".... Chili was full of onions so he wouldn't eat it. Feel like maybe that should've been mentioned when we ordered but maybe that's a question we should've asked ourselves....? It may have been a delicious hotdog, but unfortunately it was wasted. What a fun place to have lunch! We liked looking around at the decor as we waited in line to order. I especially appreciated the sign about whining. We tried the chicken Caesar (I loved it!) and Italian sausage (Husband liked it, but thought French bread should be used & gravy should be included in the price.). Our friends had the BLT and burger. This is an adorable little restaurant. With a really large menu. Now I'm gonna be honest. It's a bit on the expensive side, but the food is really good and the ambience is adorable. Cutest place EVER!! They are known as spectacular milkshake makers. Watching them come from behind the bar with giant ice cream milkshakes with cakes, candies decorated wildly!! This was, literally, a last minute punt to find some post-race food and a beer in Brevard after finishing PMBAR and cleaning up. I was searching for a pub and, being so late when I could finally get into town, most places were closed or closing soon. Corky's was no exception... I walked in with about 25 minutes to go before closing and they didn't bat an eye. Ordered a Chicago dog, basket of fries, and a Dales Pale Ale to wash it all down. We have been here twice while visiting Brevard. The hot dogs, Italian beef, and BBQ plate with ribs and chicken were delicious!

We were passing through on vacation. We came because of the high ratings. I did notice that people said it was expensive but I thought it might be worth it. We had a half rack of ribs (which came with a 2 oz. cup of slaw, a meatloaf sandwich, and a basket of sweet potato fries. My son really liked the ribs. The cole slaw was very good. The meatloaf was pretty good. The sweet potato fries were smothered in cinnamon and brown sugar - so much that I stopped eating them halfway through. It was just too much. Even if I had ordered them without the cinnamon and sugar, I'm not sure they would have as good as I hoped. They were more soft than crispy. But the bottom line is that it wasn't worth the extraordinary price: $39.33. $12 for the modest size meatloaf sandwich. $6-7 for a basket of fries. Just so much that it makes me say in my mind that I don't think I'd come back next time I'm this way. read more

This review is a little long overdue. My family visited the Asheville, NC area about a month ago. On our trip to see some waterfalls we decided to stop for lunch. My mom suggested hot dogs which out this to the top of the list. So glad we picked this place! After we ordered we noticed many Chicago themed decor. I like Corky's because they serve Vienna brand hot dogs, this is the real deal you find anywhere in Chicago, but not in Western North Carolina. They also serve the hot dog on a poppy seed bun, it doesn't really get any better, they also have pickle spears, perfect on the hot dog...I did try their idea of the Chicago version of an Italian Beef Sandwich, that did not measure up...There are many other menu items, but I stick with the hot dog, they have all the toppings you would want, really perfect. They do not do a char dog, but the boiled dog is good enough. The staff does everything they can do to be accommodating, and service is pretty fast, considering they can get pretty busy. read more
