The three of us stopped for dinner during our desert excursion and it definitely hit the spot. The menu is huge - salads, sandwiches, pastas, pizza. The pasta is homemade, you can't go wrong! My daughter enjoyed the chicken Parmesan and my wife had a tortellini special. Our server, Karla, was great, very laid back, knew the menu and had answers for our quirky questions (okay mine questions, I'm weird and ask industry questions for my own edification). I enjoyed a housemade lasagna and glass of red. The beer and wine list was great, lots of options and nothing ridiculous and over the top. The seating had indoor, and the bar, and outdoor, so you can enjoy the desert breezes and smell. It's right smack in the middle of downtown, so during festivals and rally's it's great for people or vehicle watching. Will definitely be back. Cheers!

Water was brought to our table before I'd even put my purse down. Our ordered drinks arrived shortly after. The menu is great! I got the Hot Bird with a side salad and I'm not kidding when I say it was one of the best spicy chicken sandwiches I've had. The chicken breast was moist and there were no weird bits. The sauce was delicious, pickles crunchy, and the mini, tomato, and lettuce were great additions to an incredible sandwich. My side salad was big and fresh. It hadn't been sitting in a fridge for hours. The Mister got Bahn Mi and we were both very pleasantly surprised at how good tasty the sandwich was. The meat was warm and flavorful, the veggies were bright and crisp. It was excellent. The real surprise of the meal was the French fries. Think fair fries only thicker. They were so freaking good. Crunchy outside, piping hot and tender on the inside. Perfectly salty. I can't believe I'm raving over French fries but they were legit delicious. Cute space with indoor and outdoor seating options. The attached bar area also looked inviting. I would 1000% come here again.

After that, our server's entire demeanor changed and it became really uncomfortable really fast. He was visibly irritated, huffing and puffing, being more aggressive with things behind the counter, and just clearly did not want to be around us anymore. As we were leaving, I also overheard comments being made to another employee about our table, which made it even more awkward because it was obvious we were being talked about while we were still standing there. The way the whole interaction changed afterward felt really unnecessary and honestly pretty embarrassing. It was frustrating because the experience itself had been totally fine up until that point, but the ending completely changed how we felt about the place.

There is a drive to get up to the restaurant, and it's alittle tight. If you have a problem with heights, this might be dicey. My daughter and I got prime rib. Both were cooked to our preferred temps, and they came with horseradish and au jus. They also brought sour cream for the baked potato. It's a generous portion, and I was stuffed. I got a side salad and asked for blue cheese dressing. In addition to the blue cheese, I got a lot of chunks of blue cheese. Yummy! My grandkids got spaghetti and cheese pizzas. They enjoyed them and ate good portions (picky eaters). My daughter got creme brulee for dessert and loved it. Our server was very attentive to us, and offered to bring the kids' food out first if it was ready. Our server also had some rocks that glowed under blacklight, and showed it off for the kids. Worth the stop if you are in the area.

But it took so long that I didn't bother mentioning it. Not to mention they brought the wrong order the first time. Ambiance was terrible apart from the view. Echoey and loud inside. The vibe was very much Applebees on stilts. I'd say drive up and enjoy the view, but there are plenty of drives and hikes with as good or better scenery. Definitely don't bother eating here though. I would go back if the food was free.

We all ordered burgers and loved them. The regular and sweet potato fries were excellent--crispy, not overly greasy, and soft in the middle. The sweet potato fries were waffle-cut, which made them especially crunchy and delicious. We also tried the poutine because we're visiting Canada next month and wanted something to compare it to. It may be an acquired taste! The bites with both gravy and cheese were really good, although I wasn't as fond of the fries with only gravy or the ranch-style sauce on top.
