I was desperate on a recent Monday night when my normal nail salon was too busy to take me for a…read morepedicure. Ugh. I drove off not sure where to go but saw an OPEN sign from across the road. Jackpot! Or so I thought. I parked my car and I was walking toward the door when that open sign was suddenly dark! Oh no, I thought. Just my luck... I turned around and sullenly walked back to my car. But from behind a voice shouted "what do you need?" I turned and found friendly man and politely said, "pedicure?" Savior! Just like that the man took me inside and said they could do a pedicure. They explained it was a slow night so they were closing early but he saw me as he turned off the sign and decided to usher me in! Not only were they nice enough to take me in, they did such a good job on my pedicure! My feet look great! The salon was clean and orderly. Employees were so nice and very welcoming. I am a new customer of this little salon! They are a more appointment only kind of place but they do accept walk-ins. They do accept credit cards but seem like a more cash friendly place. They offer drinks, water, soda or wine. And they also have a punch card for regular customers. All around great place. Lesson learned: schedule nail appointments. Will return soon!

At first my water was way too hot. I asked her to turn it down a bit then it was way too cold. The tub malfunctioned and she took out the sanitary bag in there. The techs did not converse with us at all, except to try to upsell us. The massage chairs were wonderful. Another patron who was getting her eye brows done took a phone call. She was speaking really loud for a good ten minutes. I suppose it's not the spa's fault but it really dampened the ambience. Maybe they could post a sign saying please refrain from speaking on the phone for the relaxation of other patrons. The worst part of my experience was my nail tech clearly had a cold or allergies because she sniffled the whole time.

They had me move seats multiple times and had different nail techs come by to ask what color I was doing. My manicure started when my mom's was almost over. When my nail tech came over, she had a packet that was not sealed of nail tools and when she took them out, she sprayed them all with alcohol. The files that were used during my manicure were all clearly reused. My manicure began with removing my old gel and the nail tech over filed a few of my nails with the drill. When she started shaping my nails, she took them from a rounded/almond shape to a square without asking what shape I wanted. I had to ask twice for them to be round and they still came out as a rounded square shape. The edges of my nails are also not smooth. They are jagged and uneven. When the tech started putting the new gel on, she had me look at 2 colors and when I touched the bottles, they were sticky and left a residue on my hands. The counter was bare during the painting and it was also sticky. My tech seemed to be rushing through painting my nails. They came out barely covered and you can see my nail through the gel. Not all of my nails are fully covered. Overall, I would not recommend this nail spa at all.

I was looking for a NEW nail salon so I went to Yelp. I asked it to bring up the top 10 nail salons…read moreclosest to me and Beauty And Nails came up. So I called last minute to see if they could fit me in the same day and they said YES! I came in and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was! Then how organized it was and how friendly everyone was! I was very impressed and I hadn't even sat at a booth yet. I was told to go to a booth and the girl asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I said no. Then we started on my nails. I expressed I wanted my current set taken off and a new set put on. I was very impressed at the fact that she didn't try to rip my nails off instead she soaked my nails and little by little she drilled them off. When that was done she put the new set on and we got to the nail polish portion. I showed her a picture in my phone and asked her if she was able to duplicate it. She said yes. I honestly was shocked. The last place I went to said that they could not do anything they said they only did nail polish no designs. The girl that was doing my nails told me that she could do any design rhinestones it didn't matter what it was bring a picture in and she can do it. I was so impressed because I have so many pictures in my phone that I have always wanted on my nails. So she put a design on my nails with foils. I absolutely love them! She did an amazing job. My nails are perfect! She took her time and had patience with me. I will definitely be returning! I forgot the girls name that did my nails. I want her to do my nails going forward I hope that they have it in the system who did my nails so I can request her every time. I have definitely found my NEW NAIL SALON HOME!!!

I have gone to this salon a few times with no issues. I wasn't a regular but I go for special…read moreoccasions and have recommended several people their services. This last time changed my mind. I went with a friend, and she called to book the appointment weeks ago, with specific technicians. We get to the salon and I let them know I changed my mind and want gel now, not acrylics. A few moments after we walk in a woman comes in and says she has an appointment with one of our technicians. They let her know they overbooked and wouldn't be able to service her. The woman told the technicians that she had called a couple days before and scheduled, and they must've messed it up. Then the technician who's overbooked comes over and tells us we're going to switch so she can do the other woman's nails. To me, as a business, this is bad practice, you shouldn't put your customers in a position like this. I understand that mistakes happen, but they should've honored the people that made the appointment first. In hindsight, I should've advocated for myself better, but I don't think businesses should be putting their clients in this position. They had us sit down because they weren't ready, and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes. At that point I was on a time crunch, and didn't have time to go anywhere else. The technician who did my nails was very upset that I wasn't doing acrylics anymore, and asked me three or four times if I was sure. I didn't realize it at the time, but she cut my cuticle open, and didn't say anything about it. I got home and my finger was in a lot of pain. Bad communication and honoring clients who booked after your other ones is a no for me.
