So... I have been here 3 times and waited writing a review. The first time was great! I thought…read morethis was my place! But... the next time. Wasn't so sure and then the last time, I thought nope. Guess not. Here is the skinny. I always get gel on my hands and regular for a pedi. I always get some sort of design on one finger when I get my hands done. I was going to a wedding so I asked for daisies or flower on the finger I usually get a design. Great! They can do it. Yay! Well, as I am sitting for my pedicure on my day off. So ready for a relaxing hour of nothingness.... a women enters with her small teddy bear dog. So cute. So sweet. I thought. And then... I listen. She knows the owner apparently. But what I hear makes me crazy. "oh your'e not being a good service dog". What!? Really?! What! Look I'm ok with well behaved or decent behaved dogs But... this was not. But for being a small dog, it would have been a disaster. Well it was for me anyway as I try to set a good example with my two very large dogs I take everywhere I can (and that is appropriate of course). So. Moving on... I watch the dog and the owner doing nothing about the dog running back in to the front and back of the salon. I watch the dog then jump in the front window and actually bark and oncoming people waling with kid and a stroller and I say to myself, what the heck? I am so embarrassed and angry that these are the people that make good dogs look bad and a service dog? Really? Lets just say a service dog is over 10,000 to train and attain and there is a wait list for our vets who take priority. I don't understand. What I heard here is "I made sure that I had a choice to train your dog friendly or not and I chose friendly". Ummm my dogs are friendly if I allow but they ignore you when they are working on a normal day just to do what they are asked. But I like all dogs and being small not so bothersome. Well the dog is jumping on my nail technicians back as she sits to work on my pedicure. Hardly ignorable . Then when I am getting my hands done, she is under the table and is all over my feet. Unbelievable. But I AM a dog lover. Ignore but this is very inappropriate and I bad business for the owner I believe. Furthermore. The service itself... I believe perhaps the dog was also distracting to the technicians. While I'm getting my gel mani completed, she smears the white flowers making them pink but doesn't say anything and tells me to place my hand in the light. I do it and then think wait this is going to be permanent. Anyway. I do say something and she kind of looked at me and said "it's ok". Ummm no it's not. It's over 110.00 for this so yeah it kind of isn't I have a wedding to attend. Well... needless to say I was also distracted and a little embarrassed for the lady but then I took a video sending it to a good dog training friend to vent. Yes distasteful and just bad for good dog owners. Not to mention probably not sanitary for patrons. In the end I left with my pink (supposed to be white flowers) on one hand and just waited till I had time to write the review. The owner had spoke of starting nail school and I see recently did across the streetish and I think she is great and so sweet. Well earned and so happy. I just hope she sees that this is really not a good experience or good practice in the future. Thank you for your time in reading my review.

I was looking for a NEW nail salon so I went to Yelp. I asked it to bring up the top 10 nail salons…read moreclosest to me and Beauty And Nails came up. So I called last minute to see if they could fit me in the same day and they said YES! I came in and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was! Then how organized it was and how friendly everyone was! I was very impressed and I hadn't even sat at a booth yet. I was told to go to a booth and the girl asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I said no. Then we started on my nails. I expressed I wanted my current set taken off and a new set put on. I was very impressed at the fact that she didn't try to rip my nails off instead she soaked my nails and little by little she drilled them off. When that was done she put the new set on and we got to the nail polish portion. I showed her a picture in my phone and asked her if she was able to duplicate it. She said yes. I honestly was shocked. The last place I went to said that they could not do anything they said they only did nail polish no designs. The girl that was doing my nails told me that she could do any design rhinestones it didn't matter what it was bring a picture in and she can do it. I was so impressed because I have so many pictures in my phone that I have always wanted on my nails. So she put a design on my nails with foils. I absolutely love them! She did an amazing job. My nails are perfect! She took her time and had patience with me. I will definitely be returning! I forgot the girls name that did my nails. I want her to do my nails going forward I hope that they have it in the system who did my nails so I can request her every time. I have definitely found my NEW NAIL SALON HOME!!!

I have gone to this salon a few times with no issues. I wasn't a regular but I go for special…read moreoccasions and have recommended several people their services. This last time changed my mind. I went with a friend, and she called to book the appointment weeks ago, with specific technicians. We get to the salon and I let them know I changed my mind and want gel now, not acrylics. A few moments after we walk in a woman comes in and says she has an appointment with one of our technicians. They let her know they overbooked and wouldn't be able to service her. The woman told the technicians that she had called a couple days before and scheduled, and they must've messed it up. Then the technician who's overbooked comes over and tells us we're going to switch so she can do the other woman's nails. To me, as a business, this is bad practice, you shouldn't put your customers in a position like this. I understand that mistakes happen, but they should've honored the people that made the appointment first. In hindsight, I should've advocated for myself better, but I don't think businesses should be putting their clients in this position. They had us sit down because they weren't ready, and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes. At that point I was on a time crunch, and didn't have time to go anywhere else. The technician who did my nails was very upset that I wasn't doing acrylics anymore, and asked me three or four times if I was sure. I didn't realize it at the time, but she cut my cuticle open, and didn't say anything about it. I got home and my finger was in a lot of pain. Bad communication and honoring clients who booked after your other ones is a no for me.

We both chose the $40 pedi that ended up being $60 each. gel nail polish was $15 extra! for this selected package it included nail and cuticle trim, soak in blue water. sugar scrub, menthol clay that only goes on the front of your legs, hot wet towel wrapped around them, scrubbed with purple scrubby, and painted. the tech didn't scrape off dead heel skin at all . some salons use a grater some use a heel shaver but they did neither. when she scrubbed the heel she did it so lite that it did nothing. So i left with dry dead skin heels. i kept getting burned by somthing in the tub soak it felt like hot metal. for the both of us it was $125 dollars. i thought that was really pricey considering the condition of my heels when we left. the best part about this pedi was the nail polish color selection and time spent with my daughter.

That said, I would say consistently the quality of work is on par with some spas that I pay 3x s as much more. Most important I don't leave with cuticle cuts. I hate those. And I hate it when the nail tech tries to pretend it did not happen. Nail gaslighting . I have not experienced such a thing at Gigi Nail's. I wear simple nail polish and they don't charge $5 to remove it. Most important to me is that the place does not regularly smell like an acetone factory. I get a basis Mani- Pedi - so I cannot attest to the more complex services. I do get my eyebrow arch done at Gigi's. Again, no complaints.
