You can find NuLa nestled in off the main busy strip of North Water, which is a perfect little hideaway for this nail studio. We walked in and were ushered in immediately to sit down and relax! Kara is one fun young lady. Her spunky attitude and knack for humor with a bit of sarcasm made this visit a treat. She is really a hoot to be around! Between the humor and the hot towels plus the relaxing atmosphere, it was a great way to start our vacation. We had top-notch service and enjoyed the experience overall. We reserved the entire studio so my wife and I could get the royal treatment. Gentle massages and hot water on the feet and lots of wonderful oils and lotions to make the hands and feet feel wonderful Overall, nothing to complain about because we left the studio feeling like a million bucks! I also think NuLa's pricing is very reasonable in comparison to other studios. Such a cool spot to be in just before heading to vacation! We would come back again any day to get the royal treatment from this crew!

The two people working the salon were super nice & friendly and the salon was very clean & had great decor. The prices were super reasonable & they had a decent color/ selection for gel & regular for the salon size. I got white regular manicure and it didn't chip for over a week and didn't turn yellow. Will definitely be back next time I'm in MKE!

I found my massage experience to be very beneficial and such a relaxing experience (s/o to Rebecca). I liked the option to choose your aromatherapy as well. Although I can only speak on this experience, I would recommend trying Neroli out if you are looking for a full spa experience.

I came in for my first visit back in December and was prompted upon checkout to book another appointment 4 months later, which I did. I dint receive any email or text then of the appointment, but figured I would be reminded closer to my appointment so I didn't mind. Day of, I received ONE text less than than 3 hours before my appointment asking to confirm. I clearly informed them that I was unaware of my appointment since this was the first correspondence. They proceeded to charge me with a $35 cancellation fee, without mentioning this. I only saw since I checked my bank account. I tried asking for a refund since I was not given sufficient notice to even cancel or reschedule my visit and there was no assistance and then they just stopped responding. The cancellation policy online states that if you cancel more than 3 hours before your visit, there isn't an issue, but I wasn't even texted more than 3 hours before, so this wasn't even an option for me. I think this is just a lazy way to get money out of people and reflects poorly on your ability to correspond with clients in a timely fashion.

The salon itself looks beautiful -- very clean, neat, and well put together. However, my experience with the service was disappointing. When I walked in, the receptionist (Naomi) did not greet me. She saw me and walked away from the front desk -- I'm not sure if she realized I was there or not, but I ended up standing there for about 10 minutes. When she returned, she simply asked for my name and told me to wash my hands and pick a color. There was no "good morning" or welcoming attitude, and she seemed uninterested and disengaged. Even after I chose my color, she stayed on her phone while I waited to be seated. Once I was seated, Throughout my pedicure, several staff members were speaking loudly among themselves In spanish, which made the environment feel less relaxing and more unprofessional. What made the experience especially upsetting was that the technician working on me made comments about my feet smelling and about my legs being fat In Spanish to another technician, They both laughed, and mind you I could Understand it.. which I found extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. I was honestly shocked and didn't know how to respond in the moment. Overall, while the salon looks great, the customer service and professionalism I experienced were not acceptable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer should feel uncomfortable or disrespected during their visit.
