If you arrive early for your facial/massage, they provide access to a steam room, a warm foot bath, and beverages to help unwind which I found lovely. I found my massage experience to be very beneficial and such a relaxing experience (s/o to Rebecca). I liked the option to choose your aromatherapy as well. Although I can only speak on this experience, I would recommend trying Neroli out if you are looking for a full spa experience. read more

Really disappointed with my experience, was my first and last time at this salon. My stylist herself was so sweet and this is not a reflection of her at all, but the business. I came in for my first visit back in December and was prompted upon checkout to book another appointment 4 months later, which I did. I dint receive any email or text then of the appointment, but figured I would be reminded closer to my appointment so I didn't mind. Day of, I received ONE text less than than 3 hours before my appointment asking to confirm. I clearly informed them that I was unaware of my appointment since this was the first correspondence. They proceeded to charge me with a $35 cancellation fee, without mentioning this. I only saw since I checked my bank account. I tried asking for a refund since I was not given sufficient notice to even cancel or reschedule my visit and there was no assistance and then they just stopped responding. The cancellation policy online states that if you cancel more than 3 hours before your visit, there isn't an issue, but I wasn't even texted more than 3 hours before, so this wasn't even an option for me. I think this is just a lazy way to get money out of people and reflects poorly on your ability to correspond with clients in a timely fashion. read more

And then I met Sepideh. She has, absolutely transformed my hair, and how I feel about myself. I've tried SO MANY NEW STYLES, and treatments with her. I love THEM ALL. From extensions, to color, to highlights, keratin, conditioning treatments. Suggesting product without being pushy. Ugh. I wish everyone could have a Sepideh. I've had great experiences here with waxing and facials. First, online booking is the best thing ever. When you arrive for your appt, you check in at the front desk where they offer to take your coat or bring you a drink before walking you to the waiting area. The waiting room for the spa is divine if you're getting a spa service. I love the spa rooms - super comfy, good noise reduction, perfect temperature, good products. I had a very relaxing vitamin c facial from kristin back in Aptil. The setting was very peaceful and relaxing. She did a great job accessing my skin, taking queues as to what treatments I liked/didn't like and suggesting products to use that were appropriate for me even if they were not necessarily sold at the spa. Firstly, the stylist seemed polite and personable enough; atmosphere was busy, but vibe positive, the cut I received is of decent quality and all, but it was nothing like what I asked for. It is important to listen to the client, and I feel like I was not heard. I received a short hair cut when I never asked for short. I requested medium and provided photos. Oddly, throughout my consultation, I felt like I was negotiating for what I wanted. And lost. :-( Given what I requested versus what I got, I feel like I must've been speaking another language. I scheduled a haircut 5 days in advance for a Saturday haircut. I confirmed my appointment and rearranged my weekend in order to accommodate this, as my work schedule is very limiting. I received a phone call at 7am (which actually woke me up from sleeping) the Saturday of my appointment and was very rudely told "we're going to have to reschedule your appointment because Lauren isn't coming in today." The woman telling me this information did not sound apologetic or sorry at all - I was expecting a kind apology or a way to resolve the situation, but no. Nothing at all. She didn't even say the reason for why my haircut was being canceled - it wasn't even an emergency situation! It seemed as though Lauren just didn't want to come in today. And I was actually the one to ask "can I have a haircut with anyone else in the salon?" to which she told me no because they're fully booked. I am extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend this salon unless you want disrespectful, inconsiderate, and unprofessional service. Calling a FIRST TIME CUSTOMER and waking them up at 7am on a Saturday to cancel their appointment is not ok. And failing to provide any consolation makes this even worse. I know what I need to know about this salon and there's no way I'll be rescheduling my haircut with them. What a joke and a major disappointment to start my weekend. Scheduled a men's hair cut. Got assigned a random girl who doesn't know how to cut men's hair. It's clearly a staffing and management issue. Don't accept men's haircuts if you don't have barbers on site. It's not fair to the customers or the stylist to be put in positions that result in bad haircuts and bad experiences. I normally frequent the Neroli at Bayshore as it's close to home and when the weather cooperates, I can walk there; the solitary commute a great way to clear my mind before the masseuse clears my muscles. This time I had some vacation time to burn and there was a perfect appointment time at the Third Ward location and walking from work would be a suitable replacement for my normal jaunt to the Bayshore location. Check-in was a breeze and made me feel at home. I appreciated my coat being taken as well as the foot soak prior to the service. However, the Relaxation Room here is lacking in comparison to the Bayshore location. Really a Relaxation Alcove, its location directly off of the main hallway without any doors or curtains, allows for all manner of other customers and employees to pass by. I don't know that anything resembling relaxation could truly occur here. The Men's locker room is well-appointed and comfortable, with the exception of the dirty chair sitting in the corner. I didn't want to use it because of how gross it looked but there weren't many other options for sitting while changing so I grimaced and used it as sparingly as I could. Despite these misses, Alexis--my masseuse--made the experience worthwhile. I've never had a bad massage at Neroli, but this one was truly the best of the best. Incorporating small amounts of almost Thai-like massage into the service, I will definitely seek her out if I have another opportunity to visit Neroli Third Ward again! read more

We were sadly disappointed. My niece was getting married and my sisters and I thought it would fun to do a hair/makeup appt. So I booked three for style and makeup. This was a month out. We weren't the actual bridal party so we started looking later. Two weeks later I get a voice mail to call back and find out they couldn't get a hair stylist. Didn't sound like they even had one when they took the appt. I was like, ok, let's just do the makeup then. I showed my stylist a picture of what I wanted and it didn't turn out anywhere close to it. I asked for simple balayage to lighten the top of my hair to match the bottom while keeping my root dark, and it turned out completely orange. I returned twice to re-tone and re-lift, and it is still orange. I've always requested the same color and same style when I've gotten my hair done and I've never had this problem. Had my first visit at Neroli this weekend with Jenna. She colored and styled my hair and also waxed my eyebrows. She is SO talented at what she does! I was going for a bit of a change and was a little nervous but Jenna made me feel really comfortable with the process and took the time to listen to and understand what I wanted. I really wasn't sure whether to rate this place a 3 or 4 star but I went with 4 stars because I've gone multiple times and there is one thing they had never messed up with me... My hair cuts! I am very protective of my hair as I feel like it's usually a hit or miss with how it is cut. I have a lot of hair that is coarse so I sometime don't think people know how to fully handle it but they did well here! I am only disappointed that I got my hair dyed here for the FIRST time ever and it was not what I wanted or anything like the inspo picture. I had scheduled my appointment with someone more experiences as I was very nervous to color my hair for the first time. Now I understand my hair is very dark and not the easiest to lift but I was paying lots of money to get it how I wanted and I was told it was possible. In the end, my hair cut turned out lovely but my hair turned out brassier than I wanted -- I wanted a beige balayage. As that was my first hair dye I was too nervous to speak up and thought I was being dramatic with the big change. I should've and that is not their fault but I wish it was done better. read more

I only schedule a massage if I am really feeling the stress of my school/work life is overbearing, so going into the salon I was very overwhelmed and anxious; I have been to the third ward location for a massage twice before, and both times I left feeling so relaxed and at peace. My body felt renewed after the use of aromatherapy and the accommodating and kind massage therapists. When you first arrive, they offer you tea/water and lead you to the locker room where you've given sandals and a fluffy robe. Then they typically offer a warm foot soak while you wait for your service to begin. After the service, you have the option to use the lovely steam shower and any of the Aveda hair and body products they provide (I highly recommend taking advantage of this amenity). Note: The only reason I give 4 stars rather than 5 is because they're services are really pretty pricey for the average budget. That being said, you can't put a price on quality self-care! read more

Highly recommend the massages. I had the stress relief one and at first, I wasn't sure about it given the length (80 minutes) and the price ($145). I've had 90 minute massages before and felt like it was too long. But the Neroli massage was perfect and worth every cent and every minute. Augustus was an absolute superstar. He was very kind, comforting and thorough with his intake questions. I love when the therapist gets a good sense of what you like/need and customizes the massage to that. He checked in often to make sure I was ok with the pressure, but he wasn't talking too much. I will request him by name next time I come. The massage itself was delicious. It combined deep tissue, acupressure, guided meditation, deep breathing and a little stretching. All this variety made the time fly and all the elements complemented each other well. I left feeling extremely relaxed and renewed. Afterwards, I enjoyed a nice steamy shower with all the Aveda products in the bathroom. Read the instructions posted outside the shower (took me a minute to figure out how to turn the shower on). I didn't realize there was a foot soak option so I'll definitely get that next time. Today I visited Neroli downtown and I was 7 mins late for my appointment. I was escorted to the lounge area which was very nice, and offered something to drink. I was informed that my massage would be cut short due to my arrival which wasn't a problem. After my massage which wasn't cheap I was basically escorted to the front desk, so I can pay my bill. This wasn't my first visit, I usually go to the Brookfield location which has EXCELLENT service. I was expecting to use the steam shower and soak my feet after my massage, but the service wasn't offered until I mentioned it to the cashier. I purchase Neroli gift cards each month as a treat for myself, and I use them when I have the opportunity. This was the first time I DIDNOT enjoy my visit!!!!! I was very disappointed!! Whenever I go to the Brookfield location they are very welcoming and the service is excellent, so I was expecting the same service from the downtown location! I didn't feel welcome at all. read more

From the moment you walk in, they treat you like a high-end spa would. Sepideh is my hair stylist and she is brilliant with many many years of experience! Highly recommend her to anyone. Spa: In my opinion, this beats out most other spas. The massages and facials I have received are some of the best I've ever had. They truly make it feel like you're on vacation.
