Lynn Cohen is AMAZING! She is an angel from the heavens! I saw another rolfer for years who doesn't even come close to Lynn's level of skill and experience. She is very educated and skilled and a true professional. I can not say enough good things about her business. She has cured me of living with intense amounts of pain. I am so grateful! If you do not have experiene with rolfing - be open minded and give it a try. So many people seem to have the wrong idea about this amazing practice. It is no more painful than a deep tissue or sport massage. Give it a try. And look no further than Lynn Cohen!!!!! read more

Years of sitting on the floor with my laptop, hunching over drawings and general disregard left me with an achy body and a collapsed S-curve... so much so that when I went to an acupuncture office they asked me if I was in a serious car accident! Bummer. I felt all out-of-whack in my own body and needed to be realigned. My understanding of Rolfing as a discipline was next to none, other than a familiarity to the name when I would see ads in Whole Life Times Mag. Yet I found myself looking up rolfers on yelp and Rolfworks/Lynn looked best with all glowing reviews. Sounds good to me. I called to make an appointment and the next one for new clients was in 2 months! Say what?!?! I was in pain but in demand means quality work right? Ok sign me up! I will wait.. and I am so glad I did. Lynn practices out of her home on the eastside of town. The spacious treatment room located upstairs is very clean and inviting. She's got a warm, quiet, grounded demeanor... a practitioner you can really open up and trust. I just completed the 10 Session series with Lynn and while my posture is not perfect, she's worked miracles on it. My sessions were never painful and I always walk out of her purple victorian feeling rejuvenated. You know when a healer has that magic touch... an intuitive knowing of which spot to press and work on? Lynn's got that gift and combined with a deep understanding of her craft and continuously learning new skills (she's always taking new classes)... it's a stellar combination. My last session was a few weeks ago and I am still feeling the benefits of her work on a daily basis. She's taught me exercises to do at home to strengthen my legs and feet, as well being more aware of my body in space. My fascia/connective tissues are so so thankful for her gentle and powerful touch. I am standing taller, walking better all because of her. If your body is needing a little or a ton of TLC... Lynn's your girl. And when you arrive for your appointment and see the big black dog chillin' by the door? Don't be scared... she's a sweetie. Open the door and Lynn will greet you with a smile and help you along your merry way... with more spring in your step! read more

If you're looking for a rolfer/structural integrationist, look no futher ... Lynn Cohen is simply the best! If I could give her 10 stars I would! As a musician with a host of playing related aches and pains, I've tried many different types of body work over the years. Admittedly, some have worked better for me than others. Rolfing has been a great discovery - and not just Rolfing, but specifically LYNN! She is kind, generous, intuitive, wise, gentle and just an all around wonderful person! She takes the time to figure out exactly what is going on with you in particular. Her work is methodical and she explains exactly what she's doing, how it all works, what it may feel like, how it will help ... she's truly one of a kind! Every time I leave a session with Lynn I feel like a new person. I'm a little more dialed in with how to use my body and how to use it to avoid injury ... and I sleep like a baby that night, too! Lynn is without question, the best! read more

I am not new to body work and have seen many wonderful practitioners over the years. I steered away form Rolfing because it terrified me. Then I met Lynn. We had an extensive conversation and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. I am in the middle of my 10 series and the change in my body has already been profound. It wasn't painful like I thought it would be. If it ever gets too intense, I simply tell Lynn and she eases and/or finds a different way. Lynn, also, gives excellent information about body awareness that includes real life applications. This information helps sustain the changes. I love my chiropractor but the adjustments would never hold. I am finding that my body is willing and able to accept and hold the Rolfing adjustments. I cannot recommend Lynn more highly. I have worked with several rolpher/structural integrationists over 12 years or so. I am very certain that the practice is brilliant and can do a lot for people who want to feel better in their body. But the practitioner you see is as important as the practice and Lynn is a truly gifted rolpher. She is an artist in a field of technicians. read more

Lynn is an amazing woman--very entertaining, infinitely friendly, and she definitely speaks "body." Since going to Lynn, my posture has improved, I've had noticeably less back and neck problems, and she's taught me a lot about my body. Lynn helped me notice subtleties s in the way I hold my body, and I always left her (gorgeous) house feeling great. I think her price is very reasonable for what she provides. She also gave me an amazing list of things to do around Los Angeles, as I am relatively new to town. Great woman, great service, great experience. If you have any type of body issue, be sure to give Lynn a try. Highly, highly recommended! read more

My experience with bodywork has been limited to trips to the Korean day spa or a relaxation massage a few times a year. I have always been interested in going deeper, however, and a 7 series with Lynn seemed the perfect way to do that. It was a fantastic experience. I learned so much about my body! Although I don't suffer from chronic pain, I always felt better after a session-my movements where looser and more free. Lynn was a pleasure to work with, as well. She was so attentive to the particulars of my body--where I needed "space," what parts of me were tender--that I felt totally cared for. Her concern for me and how my body "works" was obvious. Her careful attention felt like a rare luxury, in the sense that for an hour a day, it was really "all about me." And since it always seems to come up, no it didn't hurt--much. I remember being uncomfortable for a few minutes in session 6 or 7. But it was not a "holy hell this hurts" sort of feeling, it was more like "this is annoying and I wish it would stop." (And Lynn would have stopped in a heartbeat had I asked her to--but I didn't, since it didn't hurt that much and I figured the benefits would be worth the temporary discomfort.) Lynn gives excellent restorative massages, too. Nice and deep and her massage room is lovely. To anyone looking for a Rolfer or a massage therapist--Lynn's your woman! read more

I love Lynn. She makes me feel better every time I see her. Plus I think I may be a few inches taller after she works her magic, and at 5'2" I could use it. She is a caring and professional practitioner. I recommend her for structural dysfunction, she will Rolf you back into shape. read more

Engaging in life as the best version of ourselves is not always easy to do without support. Lynn facilitates this transformation with a level of expertise in a class of it's own. These experiences have helped me move past limitations and live a more vital existence with improvements in sleep, TMJ, knee and back pain, headaches, and more. Her compassion and insight as she untangles your kinks sets her apart from other practitioners. I float home feeling reconnected to not just my physical being, but to my true essence. So good!! read more

Wow I have had 7 sessions and am continually blown away by her intuitive knowledge and skills. I am more aware and empowered in being the best me by inhabiting my space with intent. read more

I dod the 10-series with Lynn and have been back off and on over the last 2-3 years when I need a tune-up. Not only did I feel like I got a whole new pair of quads, I also took away good lessons in sitting and walking for long-term maintenance. I've sent multiple friends her way, too. As an example of her attentiveness, in my first session I said I had some numbness-tingling in my ring and pinky fingers, which previous physical therapists had attributed to forearm tendonitis. She dug around in my armpit shoulder for a few minutes, and BAM! I had the feeling back. read more

I am approaching my 5th rolfing session with Lynn and I must say I am increasingly looking forward to each one! I sought out Lynn's help after she had been highly recommended from 2 close friends. Not only has she helped with my misalignment and subsequent back and joint pains, but with her help and guidance I have also learned to better tune into my body and to walk, sit, stand, in ways to continue bettering my alignment. So far I am excited about the subtle changes I see in the "balancing out" of my body and even more about the feeling--gasp!--of actually (literally) standing strongly on my two feet! read more

Lynn's practical advice on how to think about my body's structure was just as helpful as her healing touch. She made suggestions to solve posture problems that I didn't even know I had, which in turn helped solve the problems I did know I had. Rolfing is a pretty pricey endeavor, but one that always felt like a really good deal - a great alternative to time-consuming and probably even more exspensive trips to the doctor for neck and back and hand pain. Lynn didn't completely solve all of my issues, but she did arm me with the knowledge to be able to combat and prevent discomfort in the future. read more

I went to Lynn for severe TMJ/ jaw issues and I've had 3 sessions so far. I was not familiar with ROLFing, but I strongly recommend that you try it. Not only has she significantly helped my jaw pain, she has worked on many other areas of my body. I had no idea what to expect, and I am VERY pleasantly surprised. Lynn truly cares about helping people. So if you had any question, just go DO IT! You will love it! read more

I did the 10 series with Lynn and had a great experience. She was attentive, made the experience very comfortable, and gave many helpful suggestions as to how to think about the body, alignment, and posture - and the interconnections between certain behaviors and actions and strain on the body. For example, the way I walked resulted in unnecessary strain going to one hip which led to some lower back tension. Correcting the walk in turn helped loosen my hips and seems to have made the twinge in my back disappear. The body work itself was great. My only previous association with rolfing was that it was supposed to be very painful. It turns out this is largely a myth. Sometimes strong pressure is applied, but Lynn was very attentive to make sure it was always within a comfort zone. I'm very happy with the experience. I feel that I've loosened a lot of areas in my body that had built up a lot of tension over the years. I also have much more body-awareness, and feel much better able to take care of my joints, back, spine, hips, feet, and the rest of my body, too. read more

I can't say enough good things about Lynn: I take ballet class 2 -3 times a week, and I believe that I stay pain free because she has kept me in such good alignment. I did the ten series two years ago, and I'll have a tune up session maybe twice a year... Lynn is fabulously talented. read more

Lynn is an amazing rolfing/structural integration practitioner. I suffered from poor posture and back and neck pain. Lynn's magical hands immediately made me feel better. After the first session I felt like something nice was happening..by the fourth session I felt like my body was changing and by the seventh session I felt like a new person. I am extremely satisfied with Lynn's work...not only is she excellent at what she does but she is a sweet lady and look forward to many more sessions in the future. read more

I like to say that I am one of the "graduates" of Lynn's 10-series Structural Integration, but in truth, those ten sessions not only adjusted separate little issues I have carried with me for years, but also taught my body a new form of complete awareness. I play the violin for a living, and although I am lucky I've never sustained any playing-related injuries, for over 20 year now have sought after different disciplines of bodywork as a way to maintain the health of my muscles. From the chiropractor's table to Feldenkrais sessions, and a myriad of different massage therapies, I would find them all helpful, soothing but not lasting. Lynn is the first professional I've worked with whose every touch has a purpose and whose work really lasts. I leave her sessions with the fluidity I need in my arms restored and carrying less "weight", my mind clearer. I don't know what kind of bad rep is sometimes associated with Rolfing, but I know I am in no danger of ever finding those out, because I am truly in the best hands possible in So. Calif. read more

Hi again, It's been about 5 years since I went to Lynn for 10 sessions and I have to report that I still have no pain! I have followed her advice for exercise and as a fellow bassist she had a few pointers that have helped keep me injury free. Playing an instrument for long hours in the opera pit can be horrible for your body but I have not felt any pain at all. I can't recommend her any higher for musicians and people who use their bodies for work every day. read more

Let's see...I walked in with pain and now I'm leaving pain-free. I've just about completed the SI 10 series and have no regrets. I started with issues that included posture problems, basic neck and shoulder tension, periodic lower back pain and painful spams in the upper back. I even had this undescribable thing with my arm that would cause a tingling, "arm asleep" sensation. I had tried a chiropractor, acupuncture and the Alexander Technique but still experienced pain. I had heard the nightmare stories of Rolfing but still decided to give it a try. After my first session with Lynn, I wished I started with her. During the session, she put me at ease and constantly checked in with me. I noticed a difference immediately. With all her help and at home instructions, my body has changed. Not only does Lynn have a great bedside manner, she is a wonderful practitioner! read more

If you suffer from chronic pain or a feeling of something not being quite "right" with your body, I highly recommend you see Lynn. She's not only extremely adept at zeroing in on what's going on with you physically; she's also very personable and a joy to be around. She really cares about her clients. I looked forward to all my sessions and was sad when the 10 were done! I continue to go back for maintenance work when I can. I went initially to deal with pain from an old hamstring tear, but Lynn also addressed other issues that were causing stress on my body. My posture and alignment are so much better. There's a profound difference in the way I feel on a day-to-day basis. I can't recommend her highly enough. read more

Lynn holds her practice to the highest professional standard. Going in, I knew very little about Rolfing/Structural Integration. Coming out, I'm on the path to becoming certified myself. I always felt comfortable and safe in Lynn's work environment. She made me aware of my body in a way that I hadn't experienced before. Though I didn't come to her practice with any recent injuries or acute pain, parts of my body that had sustained injuries in the past were given a breath of life. My ability to feel grounded in everyday life has grown exponentially. I highly recommend the work, especially from someone as qualified and intuitive as Lynn. As a side note, I was a client of Lynn's Milwaukee practice. read more

I was Rolfed for the first when I was working in the corporate world in Atlanta during 1990's by a person who is now president of the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation and a member of the Rolf Institute faculty. Every time, I left a session, I felt like I greater space within my body. Each session was physically and emotionally transformative. So, needless to say my standards were high. Since then, I've lived in Florida and Arizona and I visited multiple Rolfers with less than desirable results. I felt like I was just getting an extremely deep massage. A few years after living in Los Angeles, I decided to try again. I went on Yelp and found Lynn Cohen. I was drawn to her because she worked with musicians and I was a beginning cello player. Because I was a former massage therapist with some chronic problems, I began to notice how the restrictions in my body were impacting my playing amongst other things. Frankly, after my experiences with lesser skilled Rolfers, I wasn't expecting much. I was more than pleasantly surprised. Lynn is the best! She can look at the body and zero on problems. Each session my body felt more expansive and open. She is good listener. She also ask about other body work (massage and chiropractic) so her work is harmony with these other disciplines. She is also committed to keeping up and expanding her skills. Some of the best sessions where after she'd come back from a Rolfing training and wanted to try out some new things she learned that might be beneficial. Los Angeles' loss is definitely Wisconsin's gain. read more

Lynn does amazing work. She can look at my body and pinpoint the problem areas. I leave her sessions feeling lighter and taller. My body moves with much greater ease. It's a wonderful feeling. read more

Have tried multiple chiropractors and physical therapy for years with no relief. Was completely frustrated and then found Lynn on the internet. She almost immediately fixed my hip pain and also was able to alleviate pain that I had in my elbow after one session. She is completely professional and always does a great job of explaining why and what she is doing while treating each area. Can't say enough about how happy I am with her treatment. read more

Considerate, compassionate, skilled, accurate. My lower back was in so much pain I could hardly walk. Lynn managed to see me within 3 hours (because of a fortunate cancellation) and was able to relieve a week old spasm in my back that was getting worse, with one session! It is the next day and I am practically pain free. THANK YOU LYNN! You are a blessing. read more
