This place is so retro & cute. The staff were so sweet. I've been craving a simple burger and this really hit the spot. We also got a strawberry milkshake and that was also delicious.

Chicken burger and fries, with milkshake = about $17. Plus tax & tip.

Oh noooo!! We forgot to take pictures before eating!! We ordered a Chicken burger and fries with one of their huuuuge (and very tasty) milkshakes, and the Greek wrap with butternut squash soup and a side of potato pancakes (this last add on was $3.00). Each meal was about $17.00. I have to admit to avoiding this place beforehand; I won't avoid it any more! The decor is fabulous - all '50s. Everyone gets a booth! All we needed was a jukebox in each one. However, they compensated with something like a Wurlitzer in the corner (modern: it seems to be touch screen) back to the future?! Anyway, they're open 24/7, and serve breakfast any time. The food was good but not fabulous, and the waitress didn't know the soup du jour, or the cost of the side of potato pancakes, but was willing to find out for us. The fries were tasty, but there was a hair in them! Compensation was a $5.00 coupon for our next visit.

Today's visit was better than the last. Our server was excellent, dealing with our large group without breaking a sweat, and with a smile. Coffees were topped up without having to ask. The pancakes were fluffier than I expected they would be if they were made from a mix.

    Chocolate mint milkshake!

I came here to pick up a milkshake, since I was craving one specifically from Zak's (don't judge)! and was quite impressed with how large and decorated the space was, compared to the downtown location. The staff were lovely and were joking with each other and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. I got a chocolate mint milkshake and it was as delicious as I remember. :)

    Breakfast

Hey, you! Out there on the road, looking for breakfast. Or just leaving your hotel, unable to face another plastic fork. Or you are new in town, and want someone to cook for you. Put this address in your GPS, and boogie. This restaurant chain has studied breakfast, and the results are very satisfying. Yes, my pictures of my oatmeal across Canada all look the same (according to my Facebook friends) but seriously...steamed milk? And just enough fresh strawberries. Blueberry pancakes large enough to share, and eggs just right. We knew we were in the right place when we saw a table full of men wearing reflective vests, and smelled the coffee, but it just kept getting better. When we walked in "Barracuda" was playing on the sound system, and it set the tone for the whole meal. And the restrooms are marked with signs of Wonder Woman and Superman. And it's located in a strip mall with a beer store AND a liquor store AND an unrefined olive tasting store. This experience makes it hard to leave Canada again. We did pick up a few bottles of Jackson Triggs at the liquor store, and back on the road again. We know where we will stop for breakfast next time we are in Ottawa. And you should, too.

My husband had the foot long hotdog, it is literally 12" wow so good with onion rings, cheese, bacon yummy again it's his favourite. So if you're in the neighbourhood stop by you won't be disappointed

No line-ups. We weren't keen on sitting by the door due to the draft coming in. We were told we had to wait for a two-seater because they didn't want us to take up a four seat table. We're like wtf??? I can see this if you the hot new restaurant in town and huge demand, but quite literally there was four 4-seat tables sitting empty and no line-up. In any event, we stayed, sitting in some two-seater jammed in the corner. And then we ordered a breakfast. I'm a Ozempic user, so I don't eat much - I was going to take an egg, a piece of bacon, and a couple of potatoes from my wife's plate. Oh - can't do that. There's a $2 "sharing charge". Like, wtf? I'm done with this place and their stupid policies. The food is typical diner fair that you can get any diner, nothing special here.

It's located in an industrial park just off Clyde. So their signage says "home of the bulgogi hoagie." I love beef bulgogi, so I went in with the intentions of getting that, but I discovered that the meat is marinaded not only in sesame oil (which I can eat), but also in sesame seeds (which I can't eat), so I could not experience their bulgogi hoagie :( and had to order something else. I settled on the fish tacos ($8) with a side garden salad (the menu said $4, but I was charged $4.25, and I wasn't going to quibble over a quarter, lol). I got 2 tacos and they were 2 large pieces of pan-fried white fish on top of iceberg lettuce and diced tomatoes in a soft flour tortilla. I liked that the sour cream and salsa automatically came on the side because I hate it when places drench food in sour cream and sauces. The tacos were fine, but they lacked oomph. The fish was seasoned and wasn't bland, but there just wasn't any flavourful kick to it. As the expression goes, they weren't anything to write home about. I did appreciate that the fish wasn't oily/greasy though. So anyone who knows me knows that I look upon iceberg lettuce with great disdain. I feel that iceberg lettuce is a cheapy filler lettuce, and I much prefer a real spring/mesclun mix, or arugula, kale and/or spinach. I would even begrudgingly settle for romaine lettuce. So I was really disappointed that the salad that I received was mostly iceberg lettuce (3 simultaneous sad faces!). It did have some cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled beets, and green onions as well, and the vegetables were fresh, but I was still disappointed. I was trying to be healthy, but I should have just gotten the fries, haha. Service was very friendly and efficient. Decor is typical diner. They serve all day breakfast, and with a name like Miss Molly's Breakfast Club, I guess their specialty after the bulgogi hoagie is breakfast. I'd like to return and try their Eggs Benedict. Hopefully I'll be able to bump up my rating by a star or two. They have their own private parking lot with lots of parking spots.

Superior looked like an awesome classic Ontario diner, and if I was making excuses for it, I would guess that they haven't recovered from a deep covid slumber or maybe got long-covid and in a stunned state to this day. The first bad sign was customers trying to check out seemingly stuck at the til when we came in, even though the place was almost empty with one poor server harried and harassed-looking although pleasant when pushed. The decor was classic diner alright, with the solid, bolted to the floor, metal stools lined up along the counter where you would typically enjoy a milkshake back in the day. But something wasn't right. Either the interior hadn't been steam cleaned in decades or Satan was lurking in the shadows oozing that fog of evil. There seemed to be a kind of haze that made everything look dank and depressing. We settled in a booth, luckily, which was tight and encouraged you to sit sideways with feet stuck out into the aisle, just weird, but comfy once settled in. Then the menu. It was the typical old-school diner food with absolutely no updating since forever. I recognized this type of menu from when I grew up out in western Canada. Basically meat and potatoes with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. The idea is that if you add gravy to something, you're done with adding any kind of flavour, other than maybe something that the boiled water was used for previously. Bland on Bland. White on Rice. Our order was fried chicken with roll and mashed potatoes, plus an open face turkey sandwich. The roll was bite sized, but ok. The chicken wasn't bad, and probably had enough salt and tasty enough. The open faced sandwich is basically a piece of Wonderbread with turkey on top and then smothered with gravy. The kind of meal you have before getting into your Kenworth truck. The only sparkle from what I remember these places having was from dessert. Usually pie, or ice cream or maybe both. We got excited to see both milkshakes and a banana split on the menu! Nope, only ice cream was available, no pie or anything. The more questions, the more disappointments, reminiscent of the cheese shop scene. I could hear another table far away comment excitedly when I asked about the desserts, only to hear some moaning after that. They had the rice pudding? ok fine. See the pic of that mess, what a poor-looking excuse for a dessert. Good gawd.

The food has always been fantastic, and the portions are always generous (keep that in mind when ordering!) The house potatoes that they have are the best (it's one of the main reasons that I eat brunch here) so definitely order something that comes with a side of potatoes if you can. For the crepes, something to keep in mind is that sometimes the crepe itself can be quite difficult to cut into. For example, we ordered the Crepe & Fruits, and it was so plentiful in fruits that when the crepe was opened it looked like a fruit salad (which unfortunately made it impossible to cut into). The crepe ended up getting cut up very messily, eaten alone and then the fruits eaten alone as well. There's only three options for crepes anyways, so just as a precaution I'd recommend getting a waffle instead (they're just as good but easier to eat!) The pancakes are even better- below is a picture of Carole's Cinna-cakes which is an absolute must have if you're a cinnamon roll fan like me. They were so good, and surprisingly super filling. I'm planning on coming back soon just to grab these again. Definitely an option I'd recommend! In general, though, most of the food items are great, and the nice part is that the menu is packed with different options to choose from, to the point where it might be overwhelming. It took us maybe 20 minutes to fully decide what we wanted to order because there were so many options that sounded delicious (maybe check the menu beforehand if you tend to get overwhelmed when ordering!) The area that this restaurant is in is also really practical. There's a bunch of different food places in the same row (like D-spot, Baton Rouge, etc), a nearby Landmark Cinema, Sportchek, and Centrum Plaza that's walking distance, which is perfect if you're looking to grab brunch with friends and then go for some shopping or walking around the area. All in all, so far all of our visits here have been fantastic, and it's definitely a great place to eat at!
