The Long Version: Crumbl was founded in 2017 in Utah (USA) and expanded to Canada in 2023 and Ottawa got its first location in June of 2024 in College Square. The location I'm reviewing though opened in The Orleans Gardens Shopping Centre (it's actually a plaza) in October of 2025. When Ottawa's first Crumbl location opened, the lines were epic for months. I'm not one to stand in line for food, and especially not for food from a big chain, so I waited until the hype died down and then admittedly lost interest for a while, lol. Then in February 2026 I was spending time with my little nieces and decided to get us a cookie from Crumbl to share (I had already treated them to a donut each at Tim Hortons earlier that day, so I didn't want to overload them with too much sugar, lol, but I'm sure they would have gladly eaten an entire cookie each). I got us the Twix Caramel Shortbread Cookie ($6.29). Although it's larger than your average cookie I still find the price rather high. However the cookie did taste good. The shortbread cookie was very rich and buttery. The caramel was sweet and gooey. The chocolate on top was good and I liked the broken pieces of Twix bars. Overall though it was a bit too sweet for me. I had 1/8th of the cookie. My older neice ate 3/8 and my younger neice ate 1/4 of the cookie. My brother and mother split the remaining 1/4 so the kids wouldn't be too wired, haha. So everyone got at least a little taste. The kids loved it. The adults found it too sweet. The shop is takeout only. They have 2 ordering kiosks where you order and pay and enter your name. Then your name appears on their screen that tells you where you are in the queue. When your order is ready they call out your name. Staff were pleasant, but I had limited interaction with them. Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot. Review #32 (2026)

Being on vacation, I have missed my homebase of light and crispy puffs. Last week, I was at Lansdowne Park and noticed this Mr Puffs. I was excited. However, I wasn't craving them. Maybe that was a good thing. The same thing happened to me today when I found out that Rockland has a Mr Puffs. Okay, how come Markham doesn't have good stuff like Mr Puffs? I digress. After spending several hours learning about the southern part of The Glebe with my friend after getting a similar tour four years earlier (yeah, I'm on Olympic time, folks), I felt like a cold drink. I remembered that Mr Puffs has iced teas that I like, so I walked over to this store. It was busy. There was an entire family ordering what looked like three packs of 30 puffs and a bunch of ice cream dishes. Naturally, I knew that my thirst would not be quenched quickly. I am patient. Perhaps too patient for my own good. I stood there waiting for someone to take my order for five minutes. There were two male staffers handling both the puffs and drinks. They were definitely short on staff for the demand. One of them was nice and came over to take my order. I got an iced peach black tea. I like that it's only one size and that it has a hint of sugar. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and my transaction was done. I then waited for my drink. The wait was at least ten minutes. Frankly, I lost track. The family ordering puffs galore did cause a backlog of orders. I was thrilled when I finally got my drink. I thanked the man and happily left the store. I slowly made my way to Whole Foods while sipping my drink. It hit the spot. It was such a hot day that a cold beverage made things cooler. It tasted consistent when comparing it to the previous drinks that I had at the Dixie location. It's my favourite iced tea drink out of the lot. I was in the area last night, but Mr Puffs was closed by the time I left to head back to the hotel. Maybe it was a good omen to not down a box of puffs so late at night. Lokma is a chain from Quebec that sells Turkish donuts. They are always co-located with Centrale…read moreBergham (which sells burgers, sandwiches and wraps with an international twist). I have had their donuts before, but at a different location. This location is similar to other locations, so it was great. UberEats was having a buy one get one free offer on their Twist Lokma (12 pieces covered in white chocolate and Nutella, with fresh sliced strawberries and crushed peanuts). A box is usually $11.99, but I got 2 boxes for that price. They fry the lokma to order, so you know you are getting fresh donuts everytime. The lokma were nice and crispy on the outside, but soft and chewy on the inside. They are a little denser than at Mr. Puffs (who I think is their major competitor). They also sell ice cream and milkshakes, though I have never them. I picked up my order and service was friendly. They are located in a strip mall, so there's free parking in the strip mall parking lot. Turkish donuts are hard to come by in Ottawa, let alone Orleans, so I'm glad to see Lokma in the area :)

The store has a nice vibe with lots of seasonal décor and unique gift selections. Everything was clean, organized, and easy to browse. The staff were friendly, service was fairly quick, and we really enjoyed the affogato. The ice cream was smooth and creamy and paired perfectly with the espresso. Aside from my Hokkaido ice cream experience in Japan, this has been by far the best and smoothest soft ice cream I have ever had and my second favourite of all time. I also loved that you can DIY the chocolate drizzle to your taste. I was a little reluctant to order other dip cones as I am not a huge fan of sweets, but this ice cream already has me reminiscing about it. It honestly was not overly sweet like typical soft serves, and having so many selections of chocolate is awesome. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. And when it was technically Spring, although didn't really feel like it yet, lol, I went to check it out. So the Lansdowne location just opened the last week of March 2022. They had been open for 1 week when I visited. I got a small Strawberry Cheesecake rolled ice cream ($8.95) and my husband got a small Skor rolled ice cream ($8.95). It's pretty pricey, but I think the price includes the "show" they put on as they make it, lol. So they pour the ingredients onto this frozen metal sheet and they mix it. Then they spread it out real thin. Then they roll it. It's pretty fun to watch. The ice cream also tastes really good. Very rich and creamy. I asked for "a lot of whipped cream" and they certainly delivered, lol. You can see my pictures. My husband's has the regular amount of whipped cream and mine has extra ;) Service was very friendly. You order and pay with the Cashier near the cafe and cakes area, then you take your receipt and let the Ice Cream Roller know what your order was. The ice cream takes a while to prepare, so I can see how the wait would be long if it were busy. They sell coffee and tea, as well as cake slices (I think the cakes are from Dufflet Pastries from Toronto). It's a really cute place to hang out or for a date. It's a strip mall with an auto body shop. Not the most picturesque or romantic place, but the ice cream is good. You pretty much need to eat it in the parking lot (there are a few benches) or in your car. My husband and I went during the Phase 2 re-opening amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, but I don't think they had to change their practices much because they were always takeout only with no place to sit and eat. There was absolutely no line up when we went on a Sunday afternoon in June. My husband is a traditionalist so he got a medium chocolate vanilla swirl in a waffle cone. It was $3.25 for a medium and an additional $0.75 for the waffle cone. I wanted to try their flavour burst which is flavour swirled into the ice cream in unique way (see photos). I got a small vanilla cone with cherry flavour burst. It was $2.25 for the small cone plus an additional $1 for the flavour burst. I enjoyed my cone. The ice cream was creamy and the flavour burst added a nice black cherry flavour to the cone. It wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet which was nice. I really want to try the Pina Colada flavour burst next time. Note that they only have soft serve ice cream. No hard/scoop ice cream. They do have milkshakes, slushies, slushie floats, sundaes, and Razzles, which are like Dairy Queen Blizzards or Mc Donald's McFlurries. Service was quick and courteous. I'm a huge fan. It's a bit of a trek to get to Kanata for me, but I would come back if I was in the area or planning to so other things in the area. Free parking in the parking lot that is shared with the auto shop.
