I got the coco casserole with the cubed potatoes to try out this time! I loved it with the cubed for this meal but miss their signature potatoes, haha. The fruit bowl was extremely small compared to last time but great meal!

A top brunch spot in the city! Plates are fresh and colourful, and the portions are more than generous. The menu is extremely large, so you may find yourself a little overwhelmed with choice at first. It can also get quite busy, which you might find to be a little too loud if you're going during a peak time. I've been twice. The first time I ordered the avocado and Swiss cheese Eggs Benedict (they were massive... I'm talking whole-avocado between the two), and the second time I got the vegetarian brunch casserole (also massive). Both came with an absolute heap of fresh fruit on the side - fruit salad that wasn't just a mess of melon, and probably the best fruit I've had in a restaurant. The mimosas also come with some fresh fruit in them, which is a nice little touch! Both times it was incredibly delicious... but be prepared to either bring home leftovers, or not want to eat again for the rest of the day!

Great large size plates, tasty, good drinks and nice ambiance. Try to go early as place gets crowded fast.

First time ever visiting this restaurant. It's located inside the Billings Bridge Shopping Centre. (If you enter the restaurant from the parking lot, you will need to walk to the front of restaurant to be seated.) They had quite a few specials, but I ended up getting a mimosa (light juice) two eggs scrambled well, potatoes (cubes), fruit, bacon, one pancake, and wheat toast. The portions are HUGE! So be prepared to get a to-go box! Also, the food came really fast! The atmosphere was really chill and the waitress was able to give some info and explain "Curling" (which was on the television). All in all, the food was awesome and the waitress was great!

One of my favourite places to get breakfast/brunch in Ottawa , I usually like going during the weekdays, since on the weekend they are pretty busy, and the wait times can be long . I love somehow that their menu is smaller now, because before I struggled to choose with so many options. Food is always great and fresh, I love how different their options are compared to other breakfast place . Even tho their menu is smaller now, you can find so many delicious dishes to choose from . I love the ambiance and how kind the staff is . Can't wait to be back, saw so many dishes I still need to try !

First time at the Ottawa location and it doesn't disappoint, luckily when we got here there was no wait which was pretty shocking for 10am. I got the new sundried tomatoe, shallot oregano and goat cheese omelette and it was delicious! It was loaded with goat cheese which made the omelette nice and creamy. The only thing I would say was the server kept forgetting to bring our maple syrup to the table and didnt remember to refill our coffees until we asked her multiple times Looking forward to coming here again!

4.5 stars out of 5 for: - 1st time at this joint - this one is part of the Billings Bridge Plaza / Mall (if you enter the resto from the parking lot, the hostess is on the other side i.e., mall entrance of the resto) - was served with a whole lot of breakfast food! (it is also reflected in the price) - it's true - their potatoes are tasty; I had mash/hashbrowns that were seasoned just right & creamy - this came with my eggs benedict with bacon & swiss cheese (am not sure if it was of the processed kind or real swiss cheese - could not quite tell because it was covered with hollandaise sauce) & a fruit bowl (not your usual fruit bowl - they threw in a piece of star fruit & dragon fruit) - relatively clean brightly painted place with yellow and orange & egg shaped fixtures / lighting

Allô mon coco is a favorite for me. I LOVE the English cream and the portions are huge. Service can be a bit hit or miss if they are busy but food is good.

Fried chicken & waffle Benedict with soft-poached eggs & well done Coco potatoes, & hot water with lemon

My friend and I have been wanting to try this place inside Billings Bridge Mall, but only today did we think we had the patience to wait in line. I got there first, just before 11:30 (Saturday), and there were a few people already in line. There was a sign that said to sign-in at the desk first and then wait in the line, so I went to the desk to put my name down. She let me know it was a 1 hour and 15 minute wait, but she took my name and phone number so that I could walk around the mall and they'd text me when my table was ready. My friend got there a few minutes later and I told her the wait time. We were about to leave, but we noticed a few empty spots at the bar. She asked if we could sit there and we ended up being seated immediately with no wait. I ordered a hot water with lemon and the fried chicken and waffle Benedict with well done Coco potatoes. The placemat shows photos of the different types of potatoes they have. The Coco potatoes are their standard, more like a mushy hash, so I got them well done, meaning there are crisper bits on the outside. You can also get them with cheese on top if you pay the extra $3 charge. They do have regular breakfast potatoes, too, with the option of adding hollandaise on top for another $3. I heard the fried chicken was dry and I thought it was white meat, which didn't interest me at all. I saw a couple of people beside us order it and it looked great, so I asked our server if it was chicken breast. She confirmed with the kitchen that they use chicken thighs, so, as a dark-meat lover, I decided to order it after all. It wasn't dry whatsoever! It was crispy on the outside and very moist chicken inside. The waffle as a bit sweet, which went really well with it. The sliced green onions on top were also a nice touch. The poached eggs were soft, just as I ordered. I originally thought I wanted more hollandaise, but it wasn't anything special and I didn't need more at all - the Sriracha and Tabasco I put on helped the flavour a bit. I'm glad I ordered the potatoes well done, as I think they might have been too mushy otherwise. I made the mistake of adding salt on half of it, not realizing they were already salty. Maybe it was because of how browned the potatoes were on the outside? The fruit bowl was gigantic and there was enough to share some and take the rest home. This was a bonus and I was surprised they were so generous. Brunch was great, better than I expected actually, but I definitely would not have waited over an hour for it, unless I had already planned on doing errands beforehand. The food came really fast once we ordered, so at least there's that. One of the toilets in the washroom was clogged and there was used paper towel on the counter and floor. It didn't seem like anyone had been there in awhile to clean up - maybe too busy with the brunch rush. All that aside, my meal came to an affordable $20 plus tip, which I was so happy to give. Our service was amazing! Our server was very friendly. I caught her getting a bit frustrated with the kitchen staff for a brief moment when no one was looking, but she moved on like a pro and still served all of her customers with a smile. Though clearly very busy, she was incredibly attentive and came to check on us often without being annoying, and didn't pressure us for a cheque or to pay and leave. Wish I caught her name!

I was with a friend and we decided to stop by for a quick brunch before my tour of Ottawa continued . The staff was super nice and lively , food was served in proper time frame from when our amazing waitress brought the order to the kitchen, food was amazing as usual. Only issue I have ( with all Allo mon coco, not this one in particular ) is the amount of English cream they give per client because it's way too much for the plates. But overall would recommend people to go ! Covid friendly : hand sanitizer everywhere , staff wearing proper masks , having a call in option for when it's your turn for a table .

This is a great brunch spot and mostly for their large menu! Pages and pages full of goodness and the prices are comparable to other brunch spots. Great for large groups. It's less busy if you come before 9am (or maybe I was just lucky that one Saturday). It's located in the Billings Bridge Mall and it tends to be super busy on the weekends like with most other brunch spots. So far, both my visits have been great. The food is delicious and the service is pretty friendly. I always have the dilemma for not being able to make a decision on what I want to order haha. This is definitely a place I will be returning to try more things off the menu.

I had been wanting to try Allô Mon Coco ever since they opened at Billings Bridge, but I'm rarely in the area. It's a chain from Quebec and this location is the only one in Ontario! I finally got around to going there for lunch with one of my girlfriends today. The portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable, but I didn't enjoy my meal as much as I expected. I should have ordered a breakfast item, since they seem to be famous for that. Instead I foolishly ordered a lunch item from their weekly special menu (and by now I should know that "special" in restaurants is usually code for getting rid of ingredients that are passing their prime). I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Crepe ($14.95). You get to choose between buttermilk and buckwheat, and I chose the latter. You also get a side garden salad and their famous potatoes. The menu said that the Philly Cheese Steak Crepe came with spicy mayo, but I asked them to hold the mayo. So the crepe itself was good. It was thin and crispy along the edges, but soft toward the centre, which is how I like it. It had a good amount of cheese in it and also a good amount of meat. However, the meat smelled really gamey to me. Since it was beef and not wild game, I think it was past its prime. I think that spicy mayo would have masked this "off" smell, but since I asked for no mayo, I smelled this unpleasant aroma for what it was :( The salad was fresh, but was just romaine lettuce with some cucumber slices, red onions, and some grape tomatoes. I asked for the dressing on the side, and it arrived as requested. I used about a tenth of the dressing, which was creamy, but otherwise unremarkable. Now the star of the dish was the potatoes, believe it or not. Their potatoes are famous for a reason! The potatoes were like a mix between mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes and hash browns. They also had a smokey flavour to them (do they fry them in bacon fat?!?). They were creamy, rich, and smokey. So good! My friend had The Guzzler Breakfast ($14.95) which was 2 eggs (any style, she had them scrambled), bacon, ham, sausage, 2 pancakes, potatoes, toast and fruit. This plate was so huge. My friend didn't finish it (she ate all the potatoes though and left bacon on the plate. This is a testament to how good their potatoes are!) My friend also said she will be dreaming about those potatoes. In retrospect, I should have gotten a breakfast crepe, or one of the Eggs Benedict. Definitely something that is ordered more often, with higher turnover of ingredients. Service was friendly. My friend ordered a coffee and the server came around several times to re-fill her coffee, but never came to refill our waters. I thought that that was unusual. Decor is chain-breakfast-restaurant-like. It is very clean-looking though, which I appreciate. My next visit will be for something on their breakfast menu! This restaurant is located inside Billings Bridge Mall, so lots of free parking.

It's always been a special morning when we got Broadway for breakfast. They're a similar restaurant to Zak's Diner; with great food and their signature Homefries (that could sometimes use a bit more seasoning). You can get their Homefries anytime, even after breakfast, but their quality isn't as good as fresh in the morning. On top of just the food, the have amazing service. The staff is always happy for a quick chat or there for a good recommendation. In terms of speed, it depends on when you come, but provided you know what you want, it can be as little as 5 minutes (the time it'd take to drive to the store). Now to the Ambiance. The place is inspired by NYC's Broadway (specifically their Musicals) so the restaurant's walls are decorated accordingly. Overall, this is one of my favourite restaurants in all of Ottawa, and probably my favourite one for eating breakfast. My only qualm is asking that the Homefries receive more seasoning, but that is something so minor that it shouldn't result in the loss of a star from my review, and similarly it only really happens when I order takeout. Edit: I forgot to mention that from what I've seen, the owners are great people. Some of their staff have worked for over 10 years (some over 20), and they still have good things to say of their bosses (the staff, I mean), which is not something you tend to see. Also, this place is locally owned and operated.

I went pretty early both times and I was the first or second table there. I ordered the Trio Sante (a combination of yogurt, fresh fruit, and house-made granola) on my first visit and the ARC French Toast on my second. Both were excellent - I even dreamt about the french toast for awhile after =P There was just something about the contrast between the soft, rich, custard-like interior and the crunchy, oat-encrusted exterior in combination with a delicate spice, warm maple syrup, and tangy citrus butter... yum. To drink, I tried the drip coffee and a latte - both were average. The decor is modern and clean lines, with some elements from nature. It's bright and sunlight streams in from the windows. Basically, a great setting for a relaxing breakfast. Keeping in mind that both times I was one of only a few people there, service was appropriately attentive - i.e., there when it was necessary and not over bearing. Prices were on the high side, but probably on par with what would be expected in a hotel restaurant. I would come here again if I were staying at the hotel but, truth be told, there are other breakfast/brunch places in Ottawa that are higher on my list of places to go.

The Beef Brisket and Caramelized Onion Benedict on their homemade herb scone was just as good. Both dishes were memorable. Our server was very into food and did a great job describing the dishes. I was a little put off that he sort of sat/leaned his butt on the table next to us while he did so.
