Considering it's Flock, it's a pretty decent deal for pretty decent quality. I had the House Curry everyone recommends. The curry itself was accurately medium spicy, though it lacked any serious basil or kefir flavor. It was nonetheless pretty good for a food court. So were the ample veggies, filling up what was probably a 20 oz. container. The chicken I won't get again... it was gamey to be generous. It was only 5 o'clock, but I think it had been on a steam table... welll... for a while. The jasmine rice was good. I also had the veggie egg rolls. They were yummy dipped in the curry (secret pro move...!), but they were either commercial frozen product or just like it... 98% cabbage inside. I understand it's very much the thing here in Portland, and I'm glad to do it... almost anywhere else ..., but I can't help but find the idea that the bank who now own the Ritz are saving having to employ 1.5 FTE's at minimum wage (that's all they'd pay, I'm sure...) to bus the tables. Quality food and great flavors! The hubby and kids love the beef with broccoli, which instead of the standard kind of chewy meat that you see in a lot of restaurants this dish has deliciously tender steak. They're also a big fan of the Gai Stay, with the peanut sauce and the egg rolls. My favorite is the green curry. It's plentiful, full of flavor as well as the veggies, bamboo shoots and your protein of choice. One thing I'll mention about the curry is unlike the other dishes the mild can have a bit of a kick to it... which I like, so no problem for me. The sauce that came with it could be more spicy. Yum ta lay (seafood) was good, assorted seafood was good, I like that is sour. I also tried kha nom jeen nam ya, which was good but too spicy for me. It might not be for everyone. Gai kua was good, it has the burn noodle flavor stir fried that most places don't have. They do have condiments like chili sauce that you can add to the noodle. I ordered the Spring Rolls and Pad See Ew. The spring rolls came out fast... hot and crispy with a sweet Thai dipping sauce. Tasty. The Pad See Ew came out about 3 minutes later. I've never had this before, anywhere. It came out fresh and hot. You need to mix the raw bean sprouts and carrots into the hot noodles and broccoli. It had a nice flavor. The cooked broccoli still had a good crunch to it. I think the bean sprouts and carrots could have been quick flamed, but they were good also. I enjoyed this place.
