Wandered a bit and found a gem in Portland. The service is quick and friendly. They are very attentive to make sure you are satisfied. Every dish we had was authentic and made us feel like we were back in Thailand. Pad-Khi-Mao was soooo good! I love spicy food and I appreciated the amount of spice they used here. Inside is a very intimate setting so perfect for a date or an outing with friends.

I came here on a Thursday evening and my had a great experience! It's a modern looking restaurant in downtown Portland. We got Thai Tea, Gyoza, Khao Pad, and Pad Thai. The Thai tea was soooo bomb! The sweetness level was perfect and it was only $3! I definitely recommend you order the Gyoza, they were cooked perfectly and had a very nice crunch. The Khao Pad was a flavor bomb!! The green chile sauce added great flavor and paired well with the Trout and fried rice. Lastly, the Pad Thai was good, I added chicken, shrimp, and tofu and they were all really tasty. The service was excellent. We got all our food within 15 minutes of sitting down. And, the all the food came out HOT. Definitely worth checking out!

The Thai food here was absolutely superb. We ordered the Pad Thai and Crispy Trout and Green Papaya Salad. Service was flawless and very attentive, the inside of the restaurant was also very mellow and intimate. We've eaten Pad Thai in many places.... However, Thai Peacock is the ONLY restaurant so far where we've tasted true Wok Hei flavor! Kudos to the chef for an incredible Pad Thai experience. Love this place, definitely recommend it if you're craving Thai Food, oh and another plus, it won't hurt the wallet :)

hii tourist here! after a long rainy day, we ended the night here. ordered a good amount of appetizers!! so excited for the pad see ew (beef) however we ordered two orders of spring rolls but received egg rolls?? veggie rolls? instead. then when we tried asking for spring rolls instead the waitress commented "wow" about us ordering more... like i understand we ordered a lot but the wow comment was crazy. anyways the food was still good tho

One of the joys is being able to share your favorite eating haunts with friends. Brought another Yelp Elite, Tiffany, to Thai Peacock so she could experience what I've known for years--deliciousness. Ordered my go to pad thai with crispy trout and then noticed the mango sticky rice cocktail on the menu. What?! Boozy mango sticky rice? Count me in! Well the drinks came first and let me tell you, if you've ever imagined mango sticky rice as an alcoholic drink, this is it. Literally tastes like the physical dish in liquid form. If you love mango sticky rice and you love cocktails, try this one out while it's still on the menu. As for the pad thai and crispy trout, it never disappoints. I also liked that they served lime juice in a cup so you aren't fighting with a little lime peel. Perfectly crispy fish and flavorful pad thai continue to make for an epic dish I come back to Portland for! Service was attentive when needed. The restaurant is spaced out enough that I didn't feel crowded and the volume was normal. Date night, casual hang out, it can serve either purpose. May be tight for a huge group so I'd call ahead just in case. If you haven't checked out thai peacock before, gooo! Eat in or order out. Either way, get some of this deliciousness in your life!

One of the best Thai spots i have ever tasted. Service is quick and friendly. Cozy meal vibes. The layout works well together, I liked downstairs because it feels spacious with the tables and high ceiling. Food: .Crispy Trout- get anything with the crispy trout! I did not consider myself a fish person, but the trout blew me away! .Pad Thai and Pad Se-Ew - always a must .Pad Khi-Mao - this was new to me and I loved it! Had hot basil, egg, onions, red bell, tomato, mushroom, and big cut rice noodles

Cute and fast thai spot located near Powells books. We went there after a Thorns game so there was a bit of a wait time but nothing too crazy. I got their fried rice with Salmon and my friends got a curry and a noodle dish. We also got some drinks. Food came out pretty quickly after ordering and tasted very good.

Highly recommend this restaurant! The service is quick. The ambiance is nice. The salad rolls are smaller than I'm used too but it's still nice and fresh. The peanut sauce is unique and really completes the flavors. The trout was nice, light, and crispy. The pad thai was not too sour. Usually I don't like pad thai but this one is good! Comes with a spring mix salad, a vinaigrette, and lime juice.

Thai Peacock is one of our favorite Thai places in Portland. The food is very good, and it's reasonable priced. Our bill for four people was $97, and we were all very full. For people with dietary restrictions, Thai Peacock has several gluten free and vegan options. We started with a papaya salad, $10 and an order of chicken teriyaki meatballs, $8. Both were good. Then we had the Kaeng Matsaman with seafood, $19. It was a curry dish that was excellent. For main courses, we had the crispy trout, which a deep fried fillet served on a small bed of greens, $11. It was tasty. Then we had the Larb with minced chicken, $12, Pad Thai with chicken, $16 and cabbage stir fry with tofu, $16. When we feel like eating Thai food near downtown, this is our go to place. We were there around 6:30pm on a Saturday night. It was crowded, but we were seated in about 15 minutes. The food came out quickly. Servers were friendly. Street parking was easy to find about 1/2 block down the street.

Pretty good Thai spot in downtown. They have all the classics but also some other offerings on their comfort specials menu like fried trout and braised pineapple pork, which I tried and it was tender but not much flavor. I couldn't really taste any pineapple flavor and there were only a few small chunks. I've also tried their khao soi which was good, standard. Pretty small space but not cramped, I like their cozy upstairs loft where they have a few tables as well. Prices are also reasonable as well especially for downtown.

Came in as a group of 4 and was promptly seated. We decided on starting with an appetizer and two mains and would order more if we were still hungry. For appetizer, we got the laab spring rolls which was piping hot crunchy and paired well with the spicy sour sauce that was served with it. While delicious, my Thai friend said it did not taste like laab but still very good. For our mains, we got the pad see ew and pad khi mao. Both were very tasty and the rice noodles were cooked perfectly. Not too soft and it maintained a nice chew. I do wish there was a little bit more char on the stir fry though as I feel like that's a highlight in any stir fried Thai noodles dish for me. I also would've preferred a little more veggies in each dish. We asked for chili and they came back with this beautiful box of 4 different chili selections. My table went for the house made chili and thoroughly enjoyed it. While the sauces were good, I'm basic and would've just preferred the dried chili flakes.

You can absolutely smell the fish and vinegar as soon as you walk through the door, which I think gives the place a very homey pub feel. To eat I got the tomato soup with a grilled cheese, which was absolutely fantastic. The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter. My partner and I shared some of their breadsticks, which were deliciously baked (fresh!) and came with a super refreshing basil crema and a nice tomato-y dip. Wonderful all. My partner ordered fish and chips, and was surprised to find that it is one large fillet of fish, not multiple pieces like you would typically expect. He said the fish was fine, but a little tough. Overall, a wonderful experience. I definitely hope to return. I highly recommend this place as a refuge during the cold winter months!
