Tasty Thai cuisine In Downtown Portland! Small on the onset but they have a back room hidden from view when you walk inside. Definitely worth a visit if you like Thai! Service was slow but food made it worth the time spent there.

This restaurant was definitely one of our favorites during our Oregon trip. There's a parking lot across the street so it's easily accessible. My friend and I both walked in around 2pm. The servers greeted us immediately and sat us down upstairs. It felt very homey, cozy and great vibes. Customer service was great! Ambiance was even better and the food was AMAZING. I've never had panang curry with trout and I am so glad we tried it, 10/10. We got some gyoza to share as well and it was a solid 8/10. Everything was devoured within 10 minutes. I will come back if I'm around the area, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Thai food.

I went here, based on a double recommendation from the Marriott Bidwell, and am inclined to agree that the food and ambiance are terrific. It's also very casual with a sign welcoming all people. The food was excellent: spicy and flavorful, though they seemed worried about me ordering the highest spice level. They checked on me three times, which was sweet. The larb appetizer was a generous portion -- probably enough for five or six people! It was also tasty, with the flavors of fish sauce, lime and chili blending nicely. There were some nice chunks of chilis visible. The mixed seafood Pad Khi-Mao (their spelling of a dish I've seen spelled a number of different ways) was also delicious. Fiery, loaded with umami and balanced by basil, onions, scallions and tomato. The textures were perfect: the shrimp and calamari were firm, but not chewy. The scallops were perfectly tender, and the noodles toothsome. I loved every bite of my favorite Thai dish. Service was friendly and quick.

I don't usually review restaurants I've only gotten take-out from, but the food was toooo good not to. It was these meatballs. The chicken teriyaki meatball appetizer was SO GOOD. They were super tender, so juicy, literally the most perfect meatballs. Topped with some kind of cream sauce and lots of fresh green onion, it was perfect. I also got the massaman curry with tofu, which was a very generous portion! It was a good curry! And I loved the default rice not being plain white rice, mine had some kind of sprouted grain that (I feel like lol) made it more appetizing and fulfilling. But again truly get the meatballs.

Wandered a bit and found a gem in Portland. The service is quick and friendly. They are very attentive to make sure you are satisfied. Every dish we had was authentic and made us feel like we were back in Thailand. Pad-Khi-Mao was soooo good! I love spicy food and I appreciated the amount of spice they used here. Inside is a very intimate setting so perfect for a date or an outing with friends.

Great food, it can get busy. There was a group of 5 of us, we were seated right away but we went in at 2pm. Service is quick, and the staff is very attentive. Ambiance is nice, lots of tables for groups of 2-4. The noodle portion is generous, and taste was great. For the spring rolls you get 4 pieces so two rolls, peanut sauce is good. Price is also decent it was about 20.00 per person for plate, drink and appetizer.

This spot looks small, but has a surprising amount of tables. It can get busy, but take out is always an option! Even though I have eaten here several times over the last two years, it is my first review. I finally had a dish with the trout and even though it was takeout, it was still phenomenal! I will definitely come sit down to eat another trout dish. I got the Khao Pad Ka-Phrao & Trout - loved it! The little dipping sauce is incredible! Every dish I have tried was great! Prices are decent for downtown. Staff are always quick and friendly!

Beautiful ambient vibe. service was good and welcoming. The beef pad see ew, no notes, just deliciousness. The tom yum noodle was not my favorite, it was super salty, barely any broth, it was the one dish we regretted ordering. The peacock curry however was flavorful and delicious. The star of the show was their thai tea. We got the regular thai milk tea and one with coconut milk and they were heavenly.

I came here on a Thursday evening and my had a great experience! It's a modern looking restaurant in downtown Portland. We got Thai Tea, Gyoza, Khao Pad, and Pad Thai. The Thai tea was soooo bomb! The sweetness level was perfect and it was only $3! I definitely recommend you order the Gyoza, they were cooked perfectly and had a very nice crunch. The Khao Pad was a flavor bomb!! The green chile sauce added great flavor and paired well with the Trout and fried rice. Lastly, the Pad Thai was good, I added chicken, shrimp, and tofu and they were all really tasty. The service was excellent. We got all our food within 15 minutes of sitting down. And, the all the food came out HOT. Definitely worth checking out!

The Thai food here was absolutely superb. We ordered the Pad Thai and Crispy Trout and Green Papaya Salad. Service was flawless and very attentive, the inside of the restaurant was also very mellow and intimate. We've eaten Pad Thai in many places.... However, Thai Peacock is the ONLY restaurant so far where we've tasted true Wok Hei flavor! Kudos to the chef for an incredible Pad Thai experience. Love this place, definitely recommend it if you're craving Thai Food, oh and another plus, it won't hurt the wallet :)

One of the joys is being able to share your favorite eating haunts with friends. Brought another Yelp Elite, Tiffany, to Thai Peacock so she could experience what I've known for years--deliciousness. Ordered my go to pad thai with crispy trout and then noticed the mango sticky rice cocktail on the menu. What?! Boozy mango sticky rice? Count me in! Well the drinks came first and let me tell you, if you've ever imagined mango sticky rice as an alcoholic drink, this is it. Literally tastes like the physical dish in liquid form. If you love mango sticky rice and you love cocktails, try this one out while it's still on the menu. As for the pad thai and crispy trout, it never disappoints. I also liked that they served lime juice in a cup so you aren't fighting with a little lime peel. Perfectly crispy fish and flavorful pad thai continue to make for an epic dish I come back to Portland for! Service was attentive when needed. The restaurant is spaced out enough that I didn't feel crowded and the volume was normal. Date night, casual hang out, it can serve either purpose. May be tight for a huge group so I'd call ahead just in case. If you haven't checked out thai peacock before, gooo! Eat in or order out. Either way, get some of this deliciousness in your life!

One of the best Thai spots i have ever tasted. Service is quick and friendly. Cozy meal vibes. The layout works well together, I liked downstairs because it feels spacious with the tables and high ceiling. Food: .Crispy Trout- get anything with the crispy trout! I did not consider myself a fish person, but the trout blew me away! .Pad Thai and Pad Se-Ew - always a must .Pad Khi-Mao - this was new to me and I loved it! Had hot basil, egg, onions, red bell, tomato, mushroom, and big cut rice noodles

Between the vibrant energy, outstanding service, and incredible depth of flavor across every single plate, it completely lives up to its reputation. Arranged Marriage Cocktail (5/5): A super fun, balanced drink with a great zing and zest from the ginger and lemon that lightens up the richness of the amaro without feeling overwhelming. Sweet & Sour Fried Chicken (5/5): Ordered the small portion (6 pieces of boneless fried chicken), which served as a perfect crisp starter. The chicken is juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. It was great either as an extra side of protein or a standalone dish. White Curry with Brisket Burnt-Ends (5/5): While $24 might initially seem a bit steep for curry, it's worth every penny and all the hype. The curry base features a rich coconut flavor paired with a surprisingly comfortable heat. It was loaded with tender and flavorful brisket burnt-ends along with huge cauliflower florets. Smoked Pork Krapao (5/5): super well-balanced. The smoked savoriness of the tender pork pairs with a crispy fried egg, fresh veggies, and the deep umami saltiness of the fish sauce. Logistics Tip: Expect a lively, energetic atmosphere with upbeat music that gives the restaurant a fun club-like vibe. A Friday evening visit for a party of two surprisingly had a quick 30-minute wait, which is easily spent exploring the safe, walkable neighborhood until we got a text notification. Both main entrees include a generous side of rice, making the meal very filling. Parking in the immediate area is somewhat limited, so plan to park a block or two down the road.

We ended up seating outside on the patio at a table for four with an extra chair. The inside of the restaurant can get pretty loud, so if you're looking for a more quiet dining experience, I would certainly recommend requesting a table outdoors. Between the five of us, we ordered a large order of their BBQ fried rice, a large order of their sweet and sour fried chicken, white curry with brisket burnt ends, and wok fried yu choy. This ended up being plenty of food and we even had leftovers to take home as well. If you need any recommendations from the menu, your server will be more than happy to provide options. Of the dishes we ordered, the one I enjoyed the most was the sweet and sour fried chicken. The boneless chicken thighs were incredibly juicy and the exterior was craggly, crispy, crunchy and well-seasoned. Like good fried chicken, the dish did not taste oily at all. The other dish I really enjoyed was the brisket fried rice. You really can taste the "wok hei" in this dish. There's a smokey, charred flavor in every bite and they're really generous with how much brisket is used in the dish as well. The only critique I had food-wise is I thought the burnt ends in the white curry were a bit dry and a little tough. The cut of brisket was too lean so it didn't have the melt in your mouth texture you typically associate with slow cooked BBQ. That said, my experience as a whole at Eem was otherwise incredible. Service was fantastic, cocktails were creative and well-balanced, and pricing was well in line with expectations. Definitely would stop by again for a meal.

You can watch them frying the roti in front of you, they have a great flavor (they're a bit on the thick side), and the curry is absolutely sublime, with an incredible depth of spices without being hot. I also really enjoyed the freshness and textural blend of the "rice salad," with great cucumbers and herbs, although it was too spicy for my dining companions. I admit I didn't think the fried chicken was anything special--the chicken was moist (even the white meat), but the outside could have been crunchier.
