Hi! We stopped into this coffee bar to get a quick chai latte and were surprised to see an awesome menu of delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches. We ordered a Cuban sandwich with the special Zaba's homemade mustard and it was delicious. Everything about it was legit! My 8 yr old daughter despise mustard and loved it. My Cuban husband gave it a double thumbs up. Homemade pulled pork and thick ham were the trick. Plus made with love to order. Only thing that we would have liked more were different coffee cups- wish they were paper and not styrofoam. We would definitely go back again!!!! read more

The customer service gets 5 stars. Super nice people. However, I can't ignore some things. We got coffee, one blended and one hot. Both drinks tasted awful. I couldn't take more than 2 sips. The blended one tasted so gritty. We were going to get breakfast, but, while we were ordering coffee, I could see thru to the kitchen. There was an employee with long hair, lots of bracelets and rings. She was putting raw bacon on a griddle. No gloves, long hair not tied back. There was no way I was going to order food. Went in here this morning for breakfast and the talkative gentleman at the counter was eager to educate us on how what they offer on their whiteboard food and drink menu. We ordered a large coffee, latte, bagel with cream cheese, as well as an English muffin sandwich with cheese, bacon, and egg. It took them about 15 minutes to prepare the food, we took a seat with our coffees at one of the few sunny tables in the place. The bagel was tasty, as well as the English muffin sandwich. However, this one star review is because they overcharged me by over $10 when paying for the breakfast meal. The counter gentleman ringed it up to $24 on his calculator, when it should have been $13.50. read more

Super cute local shop. Friendlies people you can meet, great simple breakfast menu that tasted all homemade and was delicious. We ordered the homemade donuts, kids were in love! The breakfast burrito and the breakfast bowl were so good and very filling. Our drinks were made in front of us and were very good. Would definitely recommend. Breakfast bowl was quick and tasted great! The guys running the restaurant were very personable. There are just 4 tables so they couldn't accommodate a large party inside but outside there were several picnic tables too. One of the other patrons was eating a bagel and said it was perfect; soft on the inside with just a little crisp on the outside. She also had a grilled doughnut that she said was delicious. Zaba's is a delightful little gem in the heart of St. Augustine Beach. We went there for breakfast one morning over the Christmas holiday, and had a fantastic breakfast at a great price. This is a casual, nondescript little place. Their staff are super friendly and helpful to newbies like us placing an order. The concept is simple--you order at the counter, and they'll call you when your food is ready. There are a couple of tables inside, but we did a carryout order since we had our dog, and it was a bit windy to eat at the picnic tables outside. We started with two lattes. We both added shots, and our coffees were deliciously strong and hot. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. My husband had their Morning Sunshine Bowl with bacon. And we got their grilled doughnut, just because. Their bagels are huge, and really good. There's no microwave here! They fry the eggs just right, and the bacon is thick and crispy. If you like your bagel toasted, make sure you ask. The Morning Sunshine Bowl is one of their most popular items, for good reason. Since we got it to go, ours was served in a large cup. On the bottom are small chunks of nicely cooked potatoes (you could opt for grits instead), topped with lots of shredded cheese. Then comes a medium fried egg (perfectly cooked), topped with zippy sausage gravy and chunks of that lovely thick and crispy bacon. Their grilled doughnut is similar to a Krispy Kreme in flavor and texture. If you are a fan of their style of doughnuts, you'll enjoy this one. Zaba's is (surprisingly) open on Christmas Day. It's actually one of their busiest days. Don't hesitate to try this place if you are in St. Augustine--the food and beverages are worth it! read more

Fantastic local place. The staff were very friendly, we talked to them for probably an hour about stuff to do in town. They also showed us a collection of crazy rings and sharks teeth for sale and I caved and bought some agate necklaces (super cheap and really nice!). They make a mean bagel sandwich. They gave us three sauces to try, one was a "spicy" jelly that wasn't spicy, they had a house made mustard that was really tasty, and an actual spicy sauce. We rode our bikes there yesterday. It was a pleasant experience all the way around. The owner and chef greeted us with a smile and explained everything very thoroughly. I got the breakfast bowl, with bacon, and it was SPOT on. My wife got a bagel. Hard to mess that up. We shared a banana and strawberry shake and it was AWESOME !!! He had is own homemade mustard which was good, but I did not want to take away from the flavor of the meal. In town on vacation for a few days and I'm always looking for a local coffee shop to support. Lucky me, this one was literally steps from the condo I was renting. I was greeted immediately with a smile, a good morning and eye contact by the gentleman at the cash register. He was patient while I reviewed the menu and suggested a drink for me. The drink was perfect! They also had breakfast food items on the menu that looked pretty good. I might have to check those out before I leave. Good coffee, good price and great service. read more

Great little place! Don't be put off by how small it is! The menu is pretty basic but don't let that fool you, the food is delicious! The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in and catered to everyone of our needs. I wasnt feeling well (from earlier, had nothing to do with the establishment) so I stepped out and they immediately asked me what was wrong and if everything was ok. We ordered the eggs with bacon and hash potatoes and it was really good, as well as the grilled ham and cheese. The fries are DELICIOUS! We are vacationing in St. Augustine and wanted to hit up locally owned coffee shops when possible. We drove by Zaba's and decided to give them a try. This is a cute, cozy and whimsically decorated shop. Lots of fun signs on the walls. Welcoming colors. Very friendly owner. Organic brewed coffee was excellent and perfect temperature. We also got a salted caramel latte and a surprise drink that was recommended by the owner. All were excellent. We didn't order any food but would like to come back for breakfast. On a rainy Tuesday morning, my mom, my sister, my son, and I ventured out for breakfast. We decided to try Zaba's. Although the restaurant is small, the service was good. We were greeted when we walked in. Three of us had breakfast burritos and the other had a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin. I decided to try the griddled donut, too. We had two coffees and two white chocolate frappes. The food was all fresh and prepared after we ordered. The gentleman working the register brought our food and drinks as they were prepared, and he recommended the Zaba's mustard to have with our burritos. Luckily for us, Zaba's was within walking distance of our hotel and serves a large menu of simple breakfast items. My breakfast burrito was fantastic and I really respect the smaller portions here for smaller prices. I tend to like breakfast sandwiches and smaller breakfast items to get my day going occasionally and Zaba's delivered. My breakfast burrito consisted of eggs, cheese, ham and sausage gravy. I was skeptical of the gravy, but when the employee told me it's just a little to hold everything together- I kept it in the order. It was fantastic and I wish there was more of in there. My fiancée ordered some sort of breakfast bowl that reminded me of one of those Jimmy Dean microwavable bowls on steroids. The few bites I had of her meal were very good. My meal was great, her meal was great and our experience was short, easy, simple and tasty, which had no complaints by either of us. They make great coffee (go for the dark roast), and their breakfast wrap is spot-on, a great-tasting and hearty combination chock full of eggs, sausage, potatoes, bacon, and gravy - the kind of breakfast that'll cure what ails you if you're still a little rough from the night before.
