I recently visited Indian Bite with a friend and walked away with a mixed, but ultimately…read morethoughtful impression. Let me start with the service, because it deserves recognition. Our server was attentive, present, and genuinely eager to learn and provide a good experience. There was a level of effort there that you don't always see, and I can confidently say there was nothing negative about the service. Now, the food. We started with the Cauliflower Manchurian appetizer, which was the standout of the night, beautifully spiced, well-balanced heat, and exactly what you expect when you go out for Indian cuisine. It delivered flavor and depth. We also enjoyed our Garlic Naan. For our entrees we ordered Prawn Malai Curry and Chicken Saag. The prawns were clean and cooked properly, but the dish overall felt under-seasoned and lacked the heat and boldness typically associated with Indian food. The chicken itself was moist and cooked well, but presentation was noticeably different from the menu photos. The saag, in particular, was more of a purée rather than the textured spinach shown, which was a bit disappointing from a visual and expectation standpoint, And again, it lacked the bold, heat generally associated with Indian Cuisine. Where the experience struggled most, however, was the ambiance. The restaurant felt unusually quiet. ((It was a Thursday Evening around 6pm)) We were one of only two tables dining, and the overall atmosphere came across as somewhat uncomfortable and, at times, a bit eerie. The exterior signage also doesn't align with the cuisine; it gives off more of a fast-food or taco truck impression rather than an inviting Indian dining experience. Additionally, the gold-toned plating and utensils felt more distracting than elevated. The finish appeared worn and tarnished, which unfortunately had the opposite effect of what was likely intended, as it felt more gaudy than refined. Overall, we did have a good experience, largely due to the service and a few highlights in the food. However, the restaurant is still finding its footing. From what I understand, they've only been open about six months, and it shows. With some strategic adjustments, especially in ambiance, branding, and consistency between menu presentation and actual dishes, this place has real potential. I hope the owner takes the opportunity to refine these areas, because there is something here worth building on.

At least we gave it a try. SERVICE : 3* Our waiter was kind of rude when I asked for a bigger table because we were planning on ording a few dishes. He sat us on a two seater table, which is smaller and I asked for a four seater table. Hardly that much people there anyways. There were tons of available tables at that time. He pointed out that was for 4 people but the place was empty! Only one other table was occupied and the rest were open. AMBIANCE : 3* Beautifully designed and colorful. However, there were assemble stickers still on the plant that was by our table. The bathroom mirror was dusty. Don't cleaning people see these dust and wipe down the mirror? If y'all can't see these minor details? I wonder how the kitchen in the back really looks like?

The food here is absolutely delicious, incredibly tasty, and packed with authentic Mediterranean taste and flavor. It is the perfect balance of healthy and flavorful. The service was excellent, and the overall ambiance has a very homey, cozy Mediterranean vibe. It is located in a lovely, small downtown atmosphere. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and street parking is available right nearby. Highly recommend if you want a healthy, delicious meal in a wonderful setting! Near SeaTac airport

My husband and I ordered a few dishes. The ingredients seemed decent, but the rice had no salt at all, and the kebab wasn't tasty. The garnish on the plate wasn't prepared well either big chunks of onion, cucumber, and tomato, not nicely cut. The stew also didn't have much flavor and wasn't good. Honestly, when food isn't seasoned properly from the start, adding salt later doesn't fix it. We didn't enjoy our meal. Also, we tried calling the servers (both the guy and the lady), but they didn't respond. In the end, my husband had to get up and ask for bread. They still forgot, and near the end of our meal the waitress walked by and said, Oh, you wanted bread?

I kept thinking about the explosion of flavors as this is the first time I tried pani dahi, little puff balls filled with masala potato in a flavorful yogurt based sauce with plenty of delicious toppings. I enjoyed their goat and lamb biryanis with parathas, the masala burgers, kesar mango ice cream smoothie. What makes Urban Tapri special is the passion and hard work behind the food. I said hello to the chef, very kind man. The owner is also very kind. This family-run restaurant brings the kind of authentic Indian flavors that you often have to travel to India to experience. Outside is humble looking but the food is excellent, the prices reasonable, and it is truly a special place in our community. A true tapri, I would say. Highly recommended.

If there was any communicating to be done, she would call from India TO the kitchen that was like 3 feet back to ask the chef (ie for boxes etc). It was certainly an experience. Food wise- we got the samosa (5/5), the garlic cheese maggi (husband had it but was not really impressed plus it came out in a plastic box which he wasn't happy about), I got the "masala maggi" which also came out in plastic and honestly didn't taste much like maggi and didn't taste that good overall, and I got the Chole batura which actually was really good (5/5). Would recommend the place if you're in the SeaTac area but probably wouldn't come out to eat here if I'm not in the vicinity.

It was seasoned well in addition to the standard toppings. If one wanted more protein, you can also add an egg layer. You are able to pick the spiciness level and I felt the spice level held up pretty well to the request. The pav bhaji was also really flavorful and I appreciated the extra butter that was included as a topping. The pav was buttery, soft and perfectly toasted. The card reader didn't work since there was an internet outage at the kiosk. The backup option was ordering with the staff and paying by cash. Since this appeared to be a recurrent issue, it would have been helpful for signage on the door. It impacted me and my friend (thankfully I had enough cash) but the group after us did not and it clearly caused some concerns with that patron.
