Egg curry & aloo bhorta combo
    Kalpana R.

This is my fav lunch food truck for Indian/Bengali food. The truck is run by a Bangladeshi couple and some of their items are Bengali tasting; a cuisine which the Pacific NW is lacking in. The best part about this food truck is that they offer more than 10+ different curry options every day, along with samosa/chat/chai/coffee/paratha etc. I personally prefer ordering their vegetarian items because there is more variety of those everyday. My favs are eggplant, mutter paneer, egg curry and the occasional coconut veg curry or the bhortas they bring. And the masala chai is really, really good. Price wise I feel it is super cheap for the quantity and quality of food you get which is typically 2 curries + rice + lil bit of salad and a small roti. For 2 veggie curries it is $7 if you pay by cash or $7.50 if you pay by card. You pay a $1 more if you choose one or both non veg curries. They do have a few dishes which are usually on the oilier side (looking at you kala chana!) but if you try out their food multiple times, you know which ones are oily vs spicy vs mild. Or just ask them! (They are the sweetest food truck owners I have ever met). There is some scope of improvement though (isnt there always?): my main gripe is with the chapati they give which is something they buy in bulk frozen and warm it up before serving. Hope they can give a better quality of chapati. But even with that, I will look forward to coming here for my lunch!

This is post my meal. Check out the pond of oil !! Disgusting.

Extremely small portion. VERY VERY OILY. I ordered okra fry, mattar paneer and requested them to give me rotis instead of rice, for lunch. I didn't realize they would be giving me frozen rotis!! AWFUL. They try and fill your box with salad so they can skimp on the actual food. Naansense is much much better although they may charge a dollar or two more. I wish I could give zero stars on Yelp.

Had the Chicken Curry with Lentils and Palak Paneer.

Had the chicken curry with half lentils and half palak paneer. This is there non-veg deal for $8 and comes with one naan. Really liked the chicken curry, though I was warned that it would be spicy and it wasn't ;) Both vegetarian sides were quite good as well, so I will be back.

Combo meal of rice, vegetables (inedible), chicken tikka masala and shrimp (well two small shrimps). I will not eat here again.

Had the 2 curry combo for $8.50 plus tip. Both curries were lacking in flavor (not enough taste) with basically no shrimp and some dry chicken. Vegetables were inedible. Picture has been posted for your preview. I also added a $3 vegetable samosa that was small but filling. Without that I would have rated this place a 1.

Oil city. Not enough food. If you're into small amounts of ok-tasting food with lots of oil, this is your new favorite food truck.

This is the best Indian food truck around South Lake Union. I really enjoy their food. Huge portions and tasty dishes.

Food truck at SLU. Very little tasteless curry and compensated with a lot of rice. Poor quality.

I was just visiting my friend in Kent and trying to find a restaurant that was still open on late…read moreSunday night around 9pm. Saw this place was open till midnight which was rare for Indian food. We were a bit skeptical at first, but the choice was either this place or junk food. We decided to give it a try. When we arrived, the place looked a bit sketchy. It was right by the gas station and the inside area was connected to the convenience store where people walked in and out. The eating area actually looked pretty decent and clean so we sat down and decided to dine in. I wasn't expecting much of the food and just ordered a safe choice, butter chicken and garlic naan. When the food arrived, they looked alright. I took the first bite on the butter chicken. OMG, the chicken just melted in my mouth. It was tender and juicy (not hard and dry). The sauce was what got me though. It smelled so appetizing and I could taste a different blend of spices in the creamy buttery sauce with a tad of sweetness to it. The spices were mildly medium, just enough to tingle my taste buds. My friend, who was not good with spicy food, couldn't resist the sauce and kept pouring them on his rice. Luckily there was enough sauce for my naan, which brings me to my next point. I had many dry, hard and burnt garlic naan before, but wow, this one was so different. It was soft, not burnt and tasty with a hint of garlic that didn't sucker punch my nose. I felt like I had eaten all the wrong garlic naan until tonight. Before we came here, we weren't that hungry and just wanted to get small bites and bring home the rest of the food. But the plan has changed and we finished all the food and we were so full. It has been several years since I've tasted Indian food this good. It brought me back memories of my first butter chicken that was just perfect and had the right combination of spices. Don't get me wrong, I've tried many Indian restaurants before and they were alright. Most of their food had a very strong smell and heavy flavors that just overwhelmed my senses. The spices were either too thick or burned my tongue. Nothing wrong with that kind of restaurant if you're looking for that. They might be super authentic or stick to their roots, but for me, this place just had the right blend of spices in their food and hit all the right notes for a non-Indian like myself to truly enjoy their Indian food and appreciate the richness of their cuisine (in moderation). If you could look past the hole in the wall place, you might find this hidden gem as well. Now the only complaint is I have to drive all the way down from Bellevue to Kent whenever I'm craving for their butter chicken again. :(

Ummmm. Very interesting. Let me start by saying the Skippers seafood was great and I will be back!…read more It was in a gas station which is fine but we entered from the front and had to look for where they cook the food and if they still were in business. We found it to the left behind a partitioned wall of snacks. No one was at the counter and there was a little bell. We had to "ring the bell" a few times to get service and then pay up front (where you pay for your gas). There was no one in the little dining area and It was very quite and it felt a little awkward eating in silence. I think it's quiet though because another person reviewed it saying the Indian music was so loud. ?? There were three menu topics. Teriyaki, Indian, Skippers. Like I said, the skippers fish and chips were good and The other items looked good too. Now that I know what to expect (and to use the side door). I'm sure my experience will be better Oh by the way, they do use Yelp for a 10% discount if you "like" them and they use door dash and grub hub if you want delivery.
