It's been a while since I've been served a great Kathi roll so I will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. There were multiple filling options and I chose the paneer. It was seasoned well in addition to the standard toppings. If one wanted more protein, you can also add an egg layer. You are able to pick the spiciness level and I felt the spice level held up pretty well to the request. The pav bhaji was also really flavorful and I appreciated the extra butter that was included as a topping. The pav was buttery, soft and perfectly toasted. The card reader didn't work since there was an internet outage at the kiosk. The backup option was ordering with the staff and paying by cash. Since this appeared to be a recurrent issue, it would have been helpful for signage on the door. I wish I liked this place. Honestly the food was good. The prices were okay. I was very bothered by the atmosphere. The lights were annoying because of the ceiling fans making them have a flickering effect. The service was frustrating - when our order was ready he just yelled "hello" a few times and there were other people in the restaurant so no one knew who he was talking to. The location was good and it was easy to find parking outside. It was really annoying that they ask if you want it "for here or to go" and then put it in a to go box either way. I have ordered Roll Pod twice in the last 2 weeks and they have not disappointed! The first order was a mushroom roll and a paneer roll. I ordered for delivery and it only took 20 minutes for my food to arrive. Rolls were fresh and piping hot. I chose the mushroom roll to start and it was really good. Mushrooms and other veggies were Al dente along and loaded with masala sauce. I ordered very spicy, and it was!! The roti it was wrapped in was crispy and warm. The paneer roll was basically the same, except instead of the mushrooms, paneer was added. It was good but I enjoyed the mushroom one more. The two of us showed up on opening day around 1pm. We were greeted immediately by a nice lady behind the counter. We've never been to any of the other locations before so we took a few to scan thru their menus hanging above on the wall. Luckily, we were the only ones in there so we weren't holding up the line. After looking over their options, we decided on a few rolls and a half bowl. Also, a mango Lassi drink and the mango kulfi (ice cream). We decided to dine-in since there weren't many people. The drinks are all pre-made placed in a self-serve fridge. The mango kulfi is in a self-serve freezer, as well. We found a seat and while we waited, more people started filing in, ordering take-out and some dined-in. Our wait time for our food was about 15 mins or so. We thought that was kind of long given the fact that there were no one else at the restaurant before we showed up. Also, this is supposed to be a fast-food type restaurant, but I understand, they're making it fresh. I guess I can't complain. When we took our first bite of the food, we were impressed with all the spices and flavorfulness of it all! We got 3 stars and it was still very spicy. Thank goodness for that mango Lassi. It definitely helped with the heat but also, complimented the food with its sweet and slight sourness. The mango kulfi, on the other hand, was okay. I prefer the drink over the ice cream. I an a huge HUGE Roll Pod fan. I literally stalk their schedule and would run to Ounces brewery when their food truck would be there or even drive to their restaurant in Bellevue to satisfy my kathi roll cravings. Well now they are right here in my neighborhood!! Hurray!! Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and this place had alot of customers ordering takeout and few dining in. I ordered my fav tri pod combo (2 rolls and half rice bowl) with chicken masala. The quality and quantity was consistent like all their other places and I was so happy about that. Their flavors are always on point and love their spicy chutneys which elevate any and every dish. I also ordered the mango lassi and it was delicious. I did see they have kulfis in store as well. I called in to order and confirmed the order because I know they'll get all the profit (usually services will up-charge the prices to make a profit and take away from the restaurant). They got the order wrong, missed an item, and didn't confirm the extra add ons like eggs costing more. I don't mind paying for extras but a heads up would be nice. So we were in the area and around lunch time searching for some good vegetarian food and came around this place. New to this area, being here on a weekend, parking was crazy. Their are many other good eats around as well on the street. The menu is not very elaborate, just simple and to the point. It seemed like an Indian version of Chipotle. We were the only customers when we arrived. We ordered their:- Tri Pav Bhaji Pod- The dish comes with pav bhaji and 2 rolls with different filling of your choice. So I thought that this being an Indian restaurant plus price of the dish the pav bhaji would be served in a generous amount but it was rather a Hawaiian roll and bhaji served in a sauce/ chutney container. It was more of a starter. The rolls we got were with chana masala and Achaari Aloo. Tasted good. Rice pod (2 fillings)- The dish was served in a to go box, which was good if you want to eat it as leftovers you can just take the box along. I ordered it with chana masala and Paneer masala without egg. I liked the chana masala but the paneer masala was off tasting, did not eat that part much. Overall, it was a good first time. I usually like to take my time writing reviews but I had to drive home quickly and immediately tell everyone about it! I genuinely have not had food this good in a while. Had to try the chicken masala and chicken chili roll and wow. Perfectly cooked, strong flavors and amazing spice! The roti works extremely well here. It's like an Indian burrito. I drove 40 mins south to this location because this is women owned and I wanted to support that. Otherwise this is exactly same as the Bellevue location in taste/menu and service. (I was secretly hoping for some more menu items....It is still good though) copying my Bellevue location review.... Great tasting No muss no fuss rolls/frankie/kathi rolls. Indian street food aficionados will recognize the rolls here as Frankie in Mumbai streets or Kathi roll up north or as the owner calls it "Roll Pod". Its basically a flour based tortilla roll filled with fillings of your choice, mint, masala spices and some onion, etc. This is a place that has your subway or jimmy john vibe in terms of ambience so do not expect much in terms of that. But the rolls are great. I have been here several times and the taste has remained consistent but the quantity of filling in each roll varied slightly. But overall not too bad consistency wise. My favorites that most probably would like as well are Chicken Masala Pod and paneer Masala pod. (I would suggest don't add egg to your roll it makes it very omelet-ty or if you order two get one with egg and one without and decide for yourself) You will need two rolls to fill your appetite and make sure you order 2/5 for spicy for regular spiciness. First time trying this place out and it did not disappoint. It was a bit harder to find as Waze turned me down a small alley when I should've turned down 16th Ave SW. Even Google Maps make it look like it's on Roxbury. The food: I ordered a Tri-Combo Pod (Chicken Masala Pod, Paneer Masala Pod, and a Chicken Chili Half Rice Pod) for my wife and I. All were 1/5 stars on the spicy scale and took about 10 min to prepare (I was the only customer there at 11am). They travel decently well as they made it thru the 20 min drive home without significant crisp/freshness depreciation. I would rate all three a 2/5 stars on the spicy scale when comparing them to other Indian restaurants even though I ordered a 1/5. My 8yo would handle this level of spice but my 6yo would probably say it's too spicy. Overall: Clean establishment. Great food. Even the least amount of spice has some heat. I'll be back. read more

Tasty Indian bowls and rolls! Very excited we now have a location on the white center strip. I liked the combo which comes with half rice bowl with your choice of protein filling and one roll again with your choice of protein. They have a lot of fillings to choose from and you can select spice level 1-5. My favorite filling was the chicken masala. Fresh, aromatic, and packed with flavor. I also got the Lassi drink which was a very refreshing mango beverage that balanced the spice of the food perfectly. The shop was very clean and well lit. The staff was super helpful and kind. Tasty and satisfying on this cold winter night, however the Mushroom Masala is incredibly salty. This was our first visit. We were thrilled to have found a vegan Indian restaurant. I got the Tri Pod with Mushroom Masala, Achari Aloo (potato), and Chana Masala (chickpeas). The warming spices and 2.5 heat level were perfect. But the saltiness of the Mushroom Masala completely overwhelmed the flavor of the mushrooms. I like salty foods but this was way over the top. My friend ordered the Rice Bowl with Mushroom Masala and Chana Masala. The rice helped dilute the saltiness of the Mushroom Masala but it still overwhelmed the dish. read more

The food here was really really good, my only issue at all was the lack of communication available between my party, and the people working. The kitchen is odd, and the bathrooms were a little scary. The food is great and they had this carrot dessert that I can unfortunately never remember the name of and it's like slow cooked carrots with honey or syrup and nuts and it's amazing amazing and I definitely recommend everybody get it. The menu was a little confusing on how to order and what we were ordering I am allergic to lagoons not all of them, but specifically anything in the peas family and we asked them to make sure that peas were not in our food, and we had to take some items back and request us again and watch that they did not allow the two to be contaminated. Thankfully they did it the right way. Kati rolls are yummy portable Indian food, and The Roll Pod does a nice version. I have tried with and without egg, and definitely recommend egg. TRP also does a rice bowl version where you can get their meat and/or veg fillings over rice instead of wrapped in roti bread. It's nice to have the option, but since Kati rolls are their specialty I recommend the original version. I have tried most of the veg as well as chicken and fish fillings, all good. You can round out your meal with a lassi drink. TRP is a flavorful alternative to the much loved burrito! read more
