New owners changed recipes. I have lived in 10 states and they had the best Beef Lo Mein before change of owner. New Lo Mein tastes like over cooked spaghetti in a very oily lightly seasoned sauce. Egg rolls are double wrapped with very little filling so they are not crisp and are chewy. Never order them again. Crab Rangoon, beef teriyaki stick and chicken fingers are very good. Fried rice is very lack luster and needs soy sauce or be mixed with entree. Yummy was my go to since moving here in 2013. Now happy garden route 1 Scarborough is my preferred choice, Better food and same distance for me. read more

Service is ok if your lucky enough to have the older lady wait on you she is pleasant friendly and provides great customer service, other younger woman not so much. I've been ordering take out from this restaurant for the last 10 years and have seen a serious decline in the quality and taste of the food in the last year. I've tried ordering different things in the hopes that something will be good, but I've been disappointed each time. The wonton soup and the hot and sour, both used to have a slice or two of pork in them, but they've stopped adding any meat in an effort to cut costs, I'm sure. The beef is unrecognizable. I have no idea what I'm eating. The General Tso's chicken is tasty, but the pieces of chicken are gristly and fatty and way over breaded. So disappointed. read more

If you are looking for good consistent American Chinese food, then Yummy is the place to go. Pu Pu platter is a crowd pleaser and I like the hot and sour soup. The main courses are plentiful. It's Maine, rural Maine. Good Chinese food is hard to find. There are certainly some places in the state that are better than others, but most are about the same; Yummy is in that class. I've been going there for years. Friendly, efficient take-out only service. The food is relatively good and consistent, depending on what you get. Went there 12.20.18. Friendly service. Got an a2 (beef teryaki, chicken fingers, crab rangoon, pork fried rice). My son got lo mein, fried rice, and crab rangoon. I figured it would be better. The beef terryaki was terrible. Thin enough to see through. The fried rice was dark brown, thick, very blah. Either it's got way to much of something in it, or it's been sitting for ages. Me and my boyfriend go here at least 2-3 times a month. If you live in the area, this is the place to get Chinese food. They never mess up our order, it's always hot and fresh, and the portions of the dinner specials, (we love the A6, switch up a few things) is enough to eat from at least 3 times. I've gotten takeout from this place probably six or seven times. The food has always been meh quality, and it's more expensive than the place I prefer, but it's about 20 minutes closer to my house. After my most recent experience, I will not be going back. I ordered about $35 in food, including a small size shrimp chop suey. When I got to my car I opened it up and noticed I was given the "shrimp with vegetable" meal instead. I went back in to exchange, and the person at the counter insisted it was chop suey, despite having zero bean sprouts, and the side of white rice that is listed as coming with shrimp and vegetables, not with chop suey. She refused to exchange or even return it, despite the fact it was clearly their mistake. I was able to tolerate the meh food and high prices for a while, but after this experience I have no intention of returning. I'm giving two stars rather than one because despite the many problems I have with this location, they are the only Chinese restaurant I've been to that can consistently have the food ready in ten minutes, most likely because they don't have many repeat customers. read more

We decided to give Yummy a try because our favorite Chinese restaurant was too busy. All of us were so disappointed. The food was horrible. We asked specifically for the broccoli in the beef and broccoli to be soft -as my grandson cannot chew hard broccoli. It was not soft but we wouldnt and didn't eat it anyway as there was no gravy and the meat tasted nasty. The chicken wings were not like what we expected as they were dried up fried chicken with breading. The large boneless spareribs were literally a bucket of tiny burnt pieces that tasted like they had been recooked and old. The chicken in the chicken chow mein was small gooey and fatty pink pieces that we were all afraid to even try. The rice was ok as was the lo mein. We feel like we wasted almost 100 bucks. Amazing greasy Chinese food that hits the spot. It's not the highest in quality but anyone craving Chinese food should go here. The boneless ribs are inconsistent but incredible. The best I've had anywhere, egg rolls are crispy and amazing, low mein is sauced well and has a lot of flavor, the general tsao's is incredible. Not a sanitary place from my experience. Ordered a General Tso and an Orange Chicken. When given our meals, the lady (nice enough) re-stated that it was one General Tso and one Orange Chicken ... both had the same sauce upon opening the meals ... I think it was a General Tso sauce. Ordered 3 A5s came with everything it said it would some of the food was great like the egg roll, the chicken fingers, the crab Rangoon and the pork fried rice however the steak on the skewers I was not a fan of didn't eat those also a good chunk of the boneless pork ribs had some good ones and others were burnt also the lo main tasted burnt and didn't have as many noodles as I would have preferred. Worst chinese food I have ever had. The food literally made us sick. Everything tasted like it was at least a day old and just tossed back into the fryer as it was completely saturated in grease. I have never had such inedible food and the place was equally gross. Kung pao chicken was so salty, fried rice was greasy and flavorless despite the unsettling level of brown, fried dumplings were one of the grossest things I have ever eaten, and the egg rolls looked like they may be good but we're as disappointing as the rest.
