Egg rolls and crab Rangoons
Judy A.

We had never been to Asian Taste before and we love Chinese food. So why not try a new restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. We sat at a booth and our server was at our table within minutes. She gave us menu's and ask us what we wanted to drink. There are many choices to choose from on the menu. We placed our order not knowing what the serving size would be, so we ordered extra egg rolls and crab ragoons. We did notices our server was the only server. She was like a super hero server, taking care of customers at the bar, taking food orders, delivering food to tables, checking on customers to make sure everything was good. PHEW! The portions were big. The food was hot. But, because we love Chinese food we did notice the egg rolls and spring rolls were mostly cabbage. Not much flavor. The crab ragoons were hot but all you could taste was cream cheese... no crab in the ragoons! The chicken fingers were hot and delicious. The fried rice was full of pork and the flavor was so good. We did take home a lot of food! We were full and we'll have another meal from our leftovers. We might be back again.

HUGE shout out to Michelle, Eli, Coop, Jessica and the ENTIRE staff at The Catch for helping us…read morehost a pre-wedding welcome party on 9/5/26! We wanted a casual, fun, typical Maine setting for our out-of-town guests and The Catch exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent - lobster rolls, grilled swordfish tacos, mini fisherman platters and of course...New England chowder! And whoopie pies for dessert! The new backyard patio provided beautiful views of the marsh and the fire pits and cornhole games added to the ambience. Our guests had such a good time and we're still getting compliments a week later. Everyone was so accommodating and easy to work with. Service was excellent! Thank you for a fun and memorable "night before!" Looking forward to visiting next year!! Fran, Josh and Lorianne

This used to be one of my favorite seafood spots, but apparently it was sold a couple years ago…read more Today is the first time we've gotten the chance to go and it was a disappointing and frustrating experience. I'd been coming here for at least 20 years, and in recent years it had been a favorite spot to eat outside when traveling with my dog. But now, we are not allowed to eat outside with a dog. Instead we had to order to-go and then walk down back to a 'dog area' which is a spot to the left of the building, below the parking area with one picnic table and some chairs in the woods. It was a beautiful sunny day, but we were getting eaten alive by no-seeums, which is not a nice experience when paying $100 for 1 meal with 6 scallops, 4 small pieces of fried fish, fries and slaw, an order of onion rings, a small clam chowder, and 2 beers. And $50 for a small lobster, an ear of corn, and an iced tea. I get that this is a tourist area, but $12 for a beer in a plastic cup and a $7.50 up charge for 6 scallops while being banished to a buggy spot that made eating very uncomfortable is a big no thank you for me. Crossing this place off my list, sadly. The upgrades and changes to this place are not a bonus at all. I'm sad that a place I always felt was friendly and welcoming is now overpriced and we all felt like we were being treated as second class citizens.

Very nice server, pleasant and was understanding of my mother being hard of hearing. We had a beautiful Portabello Mushroom appetizer. . . . Honestly would be good for a party of 4!!! We ordered fish for dinner, baked haddock with a lobster sauce and the pan seared scallops. Both meals were plated well and piping hot, no heat lamps here!!! Baked Haddock had a lobster sauce and came with choice of two sides. The Scallops were on a bed of sun dried tomato risotto. I added a little salt on the risotto to bring out the flavors. Both dishes were creamy and delish!!! Definitely going back, gonna save room for dessert next time.

The people I was with both had the French onion soup and split a sharable portion of onion rings, and they said both were delicious. I had the chicken and cheese tortellini and while I am typically not a fan of pesto, this was delicious! It was a plentiful portion too, with more than enough for leftovers later today. Our server and the host were both friendly and welcoming and the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful. We will definitely be back again when our travels take us over to Alfred!

Due to how connected the original Allagash Brewing tasting room and Bite Into Maine food trailer are it's not a surprise to have that connection be built stronger here. Instead of a trailer they have their own kitchen space here. You will find the ordering location and kitchen over near the Allagash merch section. Menu wise you will find all of your known favorites from Bite Into Maine, aka all the lobster meals. Though those who aren't a fan of lobster can choose burger, pretzel, fries among other choices. Typically I would like some lobster like their delicious lobster BLT. My wife and I were not feeling lobster that particular day but each got a smash burger with cheese added. I will say the burgers were thicker than I would expect for a smash burger. Was a little disappointed they didn't ask how we wanted the burgers cooked with how thick they were and would have preferred them with more pink to it. I do enjoy the chips that came with it and the burger was decent but not really memorable. I would rather get a lobster dish next time. Service wise was friendly and fast even with it being opening day, and you get a beeper to let you know when your food is ready. Maybe they will improve their burger over time. Go with the lobster dishes but due to the nature of lobster, prices will be a little high.
