Hands down the worst Chinese food I tasted. I actually came in for Pho, wanted the lettuce spring roll, Thai Iced Tea and a pork chop with rice. They had none of the 3. Mostly Chinese food. Ordered egg drop soup, kung pow chicken and some chicken wings. All 3 dishes were bland. The wings were dry and tasted old, the egg drop soup very bland, the kung pow chicken had very little chicken and a lot of oil. Atmosphere inside was depressing read more

Quiet place awesome take out pho. Serving was enough for two. We will come me back here

I've been trying to branch out into Sanford so we got takeout here. We each got drunken noodles and although they were hearty they were flavorless. The wings were actually an embarrassment, they were gross. Pork dumplings were yeasty but very small. Oh well! read more

In spite of its name this is basically a standard Chinese-type place. It would maybe place third in our all-time ranking of worst Chinese restaurants. Just mediocre to poor presentations of standard fare including shrimp fried rice and a beef dish with oddly-textured and not very appetizing meat. Edible but a downer. read more

I went in for pho, and ordered spring rolls , horrible that is not vietnamese pho I make it my self married to vietnamese 30 years

New owners & the food is fantastic!!! I'm so glad there's a good Chinese place in Sanford again!!

The new owner is driving down the quality. This used to be my go to, but the last two times have been sorely disappointing. I went in the last day that the original owner was there training the new owner and it was already a different quality. I went in yesterday to see how things were going and I'm sad to say I will not be going back. My first issue was the drink offering. The owner asked if I would like hot tea or water. I asked if I could have both. Both resulted in a half a glass of iced water and two small tea cups worth of hot tea. I drank my water and sipped on my tea and was never asked if I wanted any more water. I didn't expect a refill of tea, but more than a half a glass of water would have been nice. I ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and a regular chicken pho. The egg rolls were both dripping in oil and cold at the same time. The pho had no flavor. Usually the pho broth is nice and savory and I don't put a lot of extras in it, it stands alone as a wonderful flavor. This was so disappointing. I think I had about 3 pieces of chicken in the entire bowl. The owner was not very nice to his singular worker either. The worker came out and helped clear a few tables and cleaned up, the owner immediately followed up with complaints and coming back out to re-wipe the already clean tables. I counted about 5 times he went to the back to fuss at him (pretty conspicuously) while I was there. The worker was doing a great job and seemed to be taking things in stride, but I don't know how long that will last. I'm so sad that this is what this place is becoming. read more

Pho Time - My half glass of water. I honestly had not had any out of the glass at this point. - Vietnamese Near Me - Sanford, Maine

The food was tasty, but very little rice with the meal rice is cheap. The serving should be bigger for what you're paying.

Miss them dearly. Great place to get excellent sushi! Did they open in Wells? I'll check it out. read more

The Pho is fantastic. Spring rolls were made fresh and also great. My kids loved their bubble tea. Outstanding customer service and excellent food. read more

Another nice find in the area! We did a takeout. Our order of chicken pho was extremely satisfying and drunken noodles were full of flavor. Vegetable Spring Rolls and the sauce were delicious. Happy and satisfied with our takeout order. read more

I used to order twice a week and now I won't ever again. the chicken with peanuts used to be my favorite and today I ordered it and threw it away after one awful bite. The girl taking my order was not well trained and tried charging me 18.95 for the crap they served me. It was awful nothing about it was tasty. Inam pretty sure they served me seli meat chicken with some salty vegetables in no sauce. Please do not waste your time. the place was empty and that should have been my first clue. read more

Never thought I'd see the day a Vietnamese restaurant in Sanford. We only got take out, but the service was friendly. The XL beef pho had a generous portion of noodles. The beef was sliced thicker than I'm used to, but that's fine. The broth did have good flavor but just a tad oily. Light on the scallions and cilantro unfortunately. Extra points for it being served with all the correct sides (bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño and sauces) so I'm very impressed. The menu is limited (no noodle bowls) as it also caters to Chinese and Thai dishes. That does make me a bit weary. Next time I will try dining in for the final verdict. read more

We've ordered an array of food here. The food and service have been exceptional each time we've visited!

The food is good and the staff is amazing. I really don't like any other Asian restaurants in the southern Maine area but this is good.

Very Authentic! A treat nit to be missed. So much to choose from you will have to go back multiple times !

It is really hard to come by flavorful Pho in the state of Maine. This place is by far delicious! I would happily order the steak Pho and a side of crab rangoons again. read more

The people here are so kind!! My family and I have been coming here every year for the past several years, just for their Pho Soup! We always get the vegetable Pho soup and it is 100% worth the drive. We came this evening a couple minutes after closing, and the owner still made Pho for us to take home. I really would recommend this place to any vegetarians, Vietnamese food lovers, or even just people looking for a new place to eat! Thank you Pho Saigon! (also P.S., the owner is looking to train a new person to take over because he is retiring soon, so please reach out to them!) TLDR; The restaurant has always been clean and a pleasant place to eat, the people are beyond kind, and the food is heavenly! read more

Quality of food today was horrible. Normally place is bomb. Pho was cold. Didnt give all the noddles for a soup, when you order 3 soups you expect 3 noodles. Not one for the whole family to share they when you go and ask for more they think your lying and start making a scene. read more

New place in Sanford! I'm a pho-natic and can say this place is as good as any I've tried. The "regular" is plenty big with a good sized portion of beef. Nice they give you some additional fresh cilantro which most dont. Pleasant and attentive staff. Overall well worth it. The only negative is parking. There is none. read more

I decided to go to Pho today, after seeing it next to Yummy House, figuring I'd get better food and service. Honestly, before I mention my issue, I'll stare that their fried dumplings, taste like potato pancakes, and were oily, and had barely a filling. Now, my serious issue. I can't eat mushrooms; they make me very ill. I requested no mushrooms in my curry, and was told they could accommodate. I go to eat the curry, and in taking a bite, I spit out a mushroom. I called the restaurant, and explained that if I wind up at the hospital, I wool expect my expenses paid. The woman who answered the phone talked to the owner, and I heard everything. She insisted I was lying, that I stated onions & peppers, and the owner said then they won't pay. I informed her when she got back on the line, I heard everything, and she was mistaking me for a different customer, and if I were the one she was talking about, why are there onions and peppers in my dish? She rudely stated she needed to look up my receipt. After she came back on, she asked when I came. She then stated to me and her boss, it was a different girl who was on, but she proceeded to tell her boss I was an asshole for correcting her. Fuck this shit-hole. I hope I get very ill from eating this dish, and they lose their right to ruin a business in this state. HORRIBLE RESTAURANT! read more

Pho Time - Some of the mushrooms that were picked out after eating one. Nice I'm an asshole for requesting a food I can't eat not be added though. - Vietnamese Near Me - Sanford, Maine

Gonna go back and try the pho. We had a nice meal with poopoo platter and drunken noodles. Did not love the pork but had a variety of decent food. Hours were rough as they close at 6 but overall nice shop worth a stop. read more

I had high hopes coming in here due to the great reviews, but my advice to you is don't come in if you're on a schedule. Nothing happens fast. In fact, when we walked in, there was nobody seated at any of the tables, and there was one person seated at the bar. Although there was a bartender there, he completely ignored us and left us to wonder if we seat ourselves, so we did. Then the endless wait came. Nobody ever came over to our table, so my friend went to the bar to order drinks. The bartender had gone out back and the guy at the bar said, "just out back in the kitchen", so friend went to the kitchen and ordered drinks and asked for the hallway to the bathroom light to be turned on as I needed a flashlight to find the bathroom. We were unsuccessful in ordering drinks from the bartender in the kitchen, so we went back to our table and waited endlessly for the waitress to come over. When she finally did, we placed our order, not feeling very confident that it would come out correctly. Soon we were brought two crab rangoon with our soups that came with the lunch specials. The crab rangoon were so empty that we actually wondered if they were supposed to be fried wontons. But I could see a smidge of white in the fold so I assume they were meant to be crab rangoon. The soup was good, it was like a chicken soup in a sort of gel-like eggdrop type of soup. Small bowl, but perfect for a starter. We ordered the pad thai, 1 star spicy, and the drunken noodles, 3 star. The pad thai was really good. I overheard someone that came in after order it with no nuts, I looked down and didn't really see many nuts, but ok. I loved it. The drunken noodles is typically my favorite at any thai place, but the pad thai was so good that it was almost hard to make the switch to the drunken noodles. But when I finally transitioned, it was really good. Not the best I've ever had, but similar and still really good. In the end, the service was 1 star, just terrible, the thai food was 4 (1 star crab rangoon). The atmosphere isn't the best, but it was quiet and a nice place to have a long drawn out lunch. read more

First time having Pho and loved it! The broth is made over 12 hours so it's a great fall and winter dinner! Wings and Rangoon apps were tasty. Hope they get a full bar soon. Parking was tricky but plenty of lots across the intersection. read more

We visited on Sunday for a late lunch. All four of us where impressed by the quaility and quantity of our food. The veggies were fresh, and every dish was cooked to order and brought out piping hot (except the boon) from the kitchen. I ordered the Pho with nape (well done) beef, the broth was flavorful, and the meat was tender. We will definitely visit again! read more

The pho is so good! They also have the best fried rice in town! Perfect meal on a cold night!

One of my favorite spots. Vermicelli noodle salad is amazing. Drunken noodles are my husbands go to.

Some of the best Vietnamese food we've had anywhere (including NY, SF, and Boston). Perfectly seasoned pho broth, home made dumplings, and perfect fresh rolls. Even the simple lo mein was excellent. Highly recommend! read more

Another local spot offering some of the freshest ethnic cuisine around. I'm definitely riding the line of being a regular here. Each time is fast and delicious and most certainly priced right. Plenty of food to go around and often times enough to take home with you. Another rare five star review from me, but I've been here enough to say it's been great each time. read more

This is by far the best Pho' in southern Maine and is just as good if not better than similar restaurants in Boston or San Francisco. I'm so happy that this healthy and delicious option is available here in Sanford! My go-to is the medium traditional combo pho' which comes with a generous helping of noodles and cuts of beef. They have also expanded their menu to include many non-soup options, which is perfect if other people in your group don't like soup. Lastly, for those who like string coffee you must try the cafe sua-da which is Vietnamese iced coffee (espresso, condensed milk, and ice), and is better than any iced latte you'll get anywhere else. Please go here if you're in Sanford and looking for a great place for lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed! read more
