Sooooo aromatic!! Best pho in Maine hands down!!! Came here for some comfort foo. The pho broth is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I spoke with the owner, her broth is simmered for 24hrs like my vietnamese mother's broth. She uses an abundance amount of beef bones and beef, you can taste it in every sip of the pho soup. The rice noodles were cooked to perfection. The meatballs and thin tai beef is delicious. The food came out quick. The restaurant is cozy. Parking is a bit difficult to find if the front street parking is full during the winter. My daughter loves the chicken pho! read more

Never again. 1. & 2. Takeout is cold. According to the owner it is supposed to be that way so it has to be reheated at home. Seriously? The point of take out is so you don't have to cook. She spent a few minutes lecturing me on why it is served cold and why I have to reheat it. Seriously??? 3. & 4. I ordered a large pho, got barely a medium pho. I brought it back. Owner was eating food at the table, took my order but on the way to the kitchen the phone rang, she set it on the counter and took an order with bare hands touching pens and tablets etc, then in the kitchen could see her using her bare hands, unwashed, handling my food, putting more food in my container with bare unclean hands and handed it back to me. I said what about the broth. She said that 1 cup of broth is a large. I said at all other pho restaurants a full quart of broth is a large, not one cup. She said that is what it is. I said I did not want the order. I could no longer stomach the idea of eating food so mishandled and low quality. She said she could not refund me. I called Door dash and they refunded me. Never again. How do they get such high ratings? I am a foodie. I LOVE good food! I hate paying for bad food and/or bad food experiences and feeling obligated to just take it and eat it anyway. Ugh! I don't know about you, but I work hard for my money and I like to choose the delicousness I spend it on. I wish certain restaurant owners would understand that and take their business more seriously. Maybe they would have a different perspective on how they treat their food and the experience they give their customers. And then they would have a raving cult of food fans they couldn't get rid of. We ordered for pick up and decided to eat at our Airbnb. The inside is super small but very homey. The food was absolutely delicious however although we got larges I felt as though the portion sizes were a bit small. Coming from CT I am a bit more used to a larger amount of chicken, broth, and noodles. However that does not diminish how good the food is. I would have ordered two bowls to go had I known. Finally, the service was very quick. We had barely put our order in and we were already heading over to pick it up because it was ready within 15minutes. I will definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area and next time I'll definitely have a seat inside. read more

Food was good. I got it to go. The service was nice and very sweet and offer fresh stuff when they were making it. The ambiance was old and small business. It smells like pho restaurant when u enter. The only problem was that the portion was too small for me for what I pay for. Next time I would have to order the double amount. read more

The worst fresh rolls I ever had just iceberg lettuce rice noodles & 1 piece of tasteless shrimp The teriyaki steak was not eye appealing & lacked taste. Sorry will not return. Made a quick stop for takeout at Pho Ly. While we didn't eat in, the decor inside looked comfy and clean. The staff was kind, and very apologetic for a small error with our order. The vermicelli bowl with beef was really tasty and so we're the spring rolls. The egg rolls were piping hot even after I got them home. We'll definitely be back! read more

After not having Asian food for a week in Bar Harbor, this place totally hit the spot for us. The menu is limited but the Pho is spot on in flavor and execution. Tried out this place for lunch on their grand opening day. The space is small but clean and well laid out. The pho was familiar and it was good. The small is about 6" for medium. A few process of thinly sliced beef was good. We ordered the avocado shake and it was creamy and slightly sweet. Surprise to learn than the new owner Ly was the previous owner of Thanh Thanh in Portland before her son took over. Will be back to try out the rice dish with grilled meat. read more

I wanted to like Pholy but unfortunately it missed the mark in a few ways. Two of use stopped in for a couple apps and a hot bowl of soup on a crisp fall day. Our appetizers were forgotten (egg rolls and crab rangoons), our pho arrived and left much to be desired. Portions are skimpy for the price and we left hungry. read more

Really disappointed with the serving sizes. I ordered two large pho and they gave half a container of pretty mid broth, and half a small box of noodles but the majority was just onions. The "steak" disappeared in my broth, still not even sure if I ate it or not. Paid 17$ for each, almost 40$ after taxes. They couldn't even give each soup it's own bag of bean sprouts either. Just one small bag to share between two soups. Not going back until the portions match the price. Taste was okay, but nothing exciting, unique, or authentic. read more

A very nice family owned business serving very good food. Everything was delicious including their Vietnamese iced coffee. The pork chop was very tender and tasty, the beef noodle had more protein and veggies then noodle so no complaints there and the beef in the pho was not chewy or dry even when sitting in the soup. The owner was super friendly and welcoming and we will surely be back again when we head back up to Maine. read more

The good - clean and friendly establishment. The bad - ordered gyoza and they were frozen pork dumplings that had been boiled. If I wanted these, I'd have stayed home and cooked them. I ordered Pho, the broth was delicious but the noodles were stuck in a ball on the bottom of the bowl. The beef was literally nonexistent. The guys wearing hazmat suits cleaning out the apartment above the restaurant and the dumpster out front was not a great thing you look at while eating. read more
