Menu was huge! We all ordered from different sections, but everything was tasty and came out together. Jackfruit smoothie was a flavor I had never tried before, but really enjoyed the tropical mix without too much extra artificial taste. Loved my pho, with classic broth, rare steak on the side, tasty beef balls, and the extra plate of things to throw in to my hearts content. Beef stew was typically Vietnamese style, but the carrots were slightly undercooked. Overall, would definitely try more things here if I had the time. Seems to be a family run business, and they had so many tables open. Try it out!

Came highly recommended, and boy does this place deserve it! The atmosphere is friendly, and the food-- the FOOD. Where do I begin? I'm writing this a few days after my visit, so I don't remember which specific dishes were ordered (there are TONS of options, and all of them looked amazing) but I can never forget how great our meals were. My friend ordered pho and I ordered pad thai, and we shared an appetizer. The first bite of my pad thai was like discovering a whole new paradise. I'm not even kidding. Same with the second bite, and the third. When I tell you I had a spiritual experience, I'm not exaggerating. Do you remember the last time you had to close your eyes while you ate from sheer pleasure? This is mine.

This place has always been my go-to. A fire spot for dinner or hangover cure after a night out. It's always been a pleasure to be serve by Thanh himself. One of my favorite spots for Pho in Portland, ME.

My wife and I stopped here for a bowl of pho on a snowy day. We made our decision based solely on the reviews of fellow Yelpers. Unfortunately, our experience was not as positive as others have experienced. Upon entering the place, which was completely empty at lunch on a weekend, we were greeted by a nice young man. After exchanging pleasantries, he informed us that he was sick..... we should have taken that as a clue. The good news: There was a good selection of pho offerings and the bowls served to us were good.... certainly above average. The cons: The server was not the only one with a cold. The incessant sneezing, coughing and aggressive throat clearing by the kitchen staff became a bit unnerving. The restaurant itself could have also used a thorough cleaning. The walls were decorated with mirrors which were covered by greasy hand prints, etc.

Tried durian for the first time as a shake. Not bad. Son had a jackfruit shake. The fried dumplings were crispy and fresh and very light- excellent. I had the p1 beef and my son had the sweet and sour soup with shrimp. The broth was on point and the vegetables were fresh and bright. This is the real deal! Service was excellent, tables well spaced and clean

We live in the neighborhood and get dinner across the street at Saigon at least once a week (which is always amazing). My wife wanted pho on a Wednesday, when Saigon is closed, so we tried this place. Was hopeful and really wanted to like it. The interior is super odd, cold, and generally unpleasant. The guy who took my order was very nice, but kept wiping his runny nose with his fingers while he talked to me. Food came out relatively quickly. Order pho and lomein with tofu and bean sprouts to go. Lomein was inedible, and not lomein (or at least what I was expecting when I ordered lomein). Dripping in oil and tasted like expired fish sauce...gag. Literally took one bite and spit it out. Pho broth was luke warm so I had to heat everything up in a pot when it didn't "cook" the rare beef. "Worst pho I've had" - my wife. Would have loved to like this place...but won't be going back. Do yourself a favor and just hit up Saigon (and skip Vietnamese on weds when they're closed).

Pretty good little spot for Maine. Their pho is a-ok, nothing to write home about. I +.5 star for them being open for dinein since we were flying out and .5 star for the staff lady's high energy. I'm trying to be fair here bc 1) I'm from GA where there's a lot for Vietnamese restaurants and 2) I'm Vietnamese so my standards are high for Vietnamese food .

I took my dad to Thanh Thanh 2 for his first bowl of pho, and now he's hooked!

Food is okay. Restaurant can be hit or miss on cleanliness, depending on who's working, which also is hit or miss on the tude.

This was the first time I had tried that dish, and it was absolutely incredible. It had an incredibly nuanced flavor profile with spice, some zing, and saltiness. The portion was quite large but still easy to finish due to how delicious it was. LOL! The only sad part was that the Drunken Noodle was much too sweet, which is not what I am typically used to. Tom Yum was nice and warm with a pleasant taste. Not my favorite Tom Yum but still very comforting. The staff there were very kind and sweet. Many people appeared to have ordered take out, but if you decide to eat there like us, then there are a few tables for you to choose from. Overall, great food for a great price! Pretty quiet and lowkey spot to have lunch or dinner.

This is the place you'll take friends when you want an easy night out but still make it fun. Straightforward, friendly service. Cocktails are creative, the coconut pandan mojito was extremely refreshing in comparison to the umami-forward dishes. The twice-fried chicken was notable, the caramelization made it so savory. The fresh spring rolls were also good, with shrimp, pork belly, chicken as additional fillings. My favorite dish of the night was easily the house noodle soup. The braised beef was melt-in-your-mouth good and the broth was incredibly savory. The Mee Katang was the second runner up - I love a short rib with a wide noodle. Did not have any issues with signage/ordering food/seating - there was a clear sign that said dinner upstairs, take out downstairs and someone upstairs was shepherding people to tables. They do take reservations over the phone.

Vegan? Lots of good dishes (and everything, including gluten-free options and spice level, is clearly labeled). I had an order of the banh chao fresh rolls (coconut scallion rice crepes filled with shiso, mint, carrot, daikon, cukes, lettuce, peace shoots) with the lemon herb sauce. Which had an unexpected and delightful kick to it; I loved the heat and ended up pouring that sauce all over the vegan kuyteav cha (rice noodles with fried tofu, pineapple, veggies, and ginger garlic oil) I got! Other veg options: the fried green beans (with maple tamari and salted bean sauce), phsaet ang (oyster mushroom skewers with a cashew green sauce and papaya pickles), neorm (a vermicelli noodle salad) specifically with fried tofu, and mi goreng (fried dry wheat noodles with sweet soy curry, chili oil, gai lon pickled shiitake and bean sprouts, lime; ask for it be vegan to omit the egg). While the food was good, the staff was the best part. Smart, clever, funny, fast, friendly, genuine; it was one of the realest interactions I've had at a restaurant in a long time. He went above and beyond checking things were vegan, making amazing recommendations, asking thoughtful questions to my friend about her spice tolerance. He even came upstairs to check in on us. This is probably one of the best lunch options in Portland.
