I SO wanted to love this restaurant. It's a cute, little place with a few 2-hour parking spots right in front. We had 3 appetizers: Vietnamese egg roll, Shrimp spring roll and lemongrass steak (beef) on a skewer. The egg roll was the highlight--nice, crisp wrapping and piping hot. Not the best I've ever had, but decent. The spring roll was a disappointment. It had no distinct flavors (bland, in other words), way too much lettuce and not enough vermicelli. The beef skewer was the biggest flop of them all. The seasoning was pretty flavorful, but the steak was tough and chewy. We were actually shocked, because we never experienced that in a Vietnamese restaurant before. The dipping sauces served to complement the dishes were also lacking. The spring roll sauce was adequate (nothing to write home about) and the one for the skewered beef wasn't even homemade--it was a rather lackluster peanut sauce out of the bottle. I don't know. I guess I've been spoiled by some of the most wonderful, flavorful Vietnamese restaurants (Mi Quang in Philadelphia, for one) that this meal just didn't cut the mustard. Or dipping sauce. read more

I took my wife and daughter here this weekend and found the experience to be quite good. All three of us got a version of bun. The meat was flavorful and well cooked. The noodles and veggies were fresh. Overall the food quite good as well as the service. My only complaint would be that some of their COVID prevention was lacking in some areas. All of the silverware, chopsticks and condiments for a days worth of customers were in a common tray on each table. So, when you grabbed your items, you were touching everything that everyone else would use later that day. Not sure why 15 settings of silverware needs to be on each table for everyone to handle. Finally checked out this long standing downtown Biddeford establishment, and can't wait to go back! The food was super fresh and flavorful, and they piled on the ginger when I asked. I'm trying really hard to be a more adventurous eater, so when we didn't feel like cooking tonight I decided it was finally time, after 2 1/2 years of living in Biddeford to try this place. I've also been sick, so a nice flavorful bowl of soup sounded amazing. We ordered the beef pho in the larger size, and it was more than enough for the two of us. We also ordered the beef teriyaki, chicken satay, and crab rangoons. The beef teriyaki was so much more flavorful and tender than I've ever had. The chicken satay was nice and juicy with a great flavor. The crab ragoons were amazing and crisp and the dipping sauce was fresh and cool tasting. The pho itself was great as well. The meat wasa little rare for my taste, but since we orderd takeout I just tossed it in a pot and heated it a bit. The only reason for one less star is because none of the sprouts, basil, or lime that was supposed to come with the pho was included in our take out bag, and this is a huge pet peeve of mine. Sides and sauces are an essential part of the meal, and it always bums me out when a restaurant forgets to include them. We will definitely try this place again! read more

The fresh spring rolls had zero taste The crispy spring rolls were soggy, The crab Rangoon's were very good & the pork,sprouts, slivered lettuce & rice noodles had no flavor. I visited for the first time this past week. I don't have much experience with this style of food, but I found my Korean barbecue pork vermicelli with egg roll to be absolutely delicious. It was served with a side of homemade fish sauce which was equally delicious. The one problem that stood out to me was that the table and condiment bottles were sticky and not as clean as I would have anticipated. I will definitely try this dish again and try a side/appetizer next time. Service was also good. (5 stars with improved cleanliness.) Addendum: The crab ran-goons were excellent. I usually love going to this restaurant because they have one of the best pho's, but after I finished most of my meal I found something small floating in my soup. It was a maggot and my boyfriend and I told the employee at the restaurant and one of the cooks came out and yelled "it's just bean sprout"... when I never even put bean sprouts in my soup. This place really knocked my socks off! I've been living in Biddo for a year now and always had Que Huong on my list but never made it by. Finally went in today to try it out. First of all, this is a small restaurant that is seemingly family-owned. There were only 2 employees working both the kitchen and front of house, so be prepared for things to be a little on the slower side but trust me it is worth the wait. When my server took my order, I asked for a Sapporo, water, and Pho Tai. I worked on my Sapporo and water while waiting for the pho to be up. Once I got the pho, I dug in. The toppings (bean sprouts, basil, etc.) were plentiful and the bowl of pho itself was a good portion. The broth was what really stood out to me here. It was so flavorful and delicious! I had quite a bit of broth left after eating the meat and noodles, so I asked for extra noodles to add to my broth. Overall, for the bowl of pho, extra noodles, and Sapporo, my check total was $17. I left full and satisfied after my experience here and can't wait to give Que Huong another visit soon. read more

My bf and I got the shrimp eggroll looking appetizer and the lemongrass beef teriyaki sticks (2) to start off with then I got the crispy yellow noodles with seafood (it came with a lot of veggies). The flavor of the food made me feel like I was at home. My bf got the porkchops with tomato slices and cucumbers and white rice. The price is great for the flavor and portions that they give you. While staying in Ogunquit, my friend and I had a craving... Pho. Being that it was cool and rainy, we decided that Pho was the way to go. Now the question remains... do we head all the way into Portland, or go somewhere closer?? The choice was a great one! The large Pho is LARGE!!!! In all the places I've lived Biddeford, Maine has absolutely the best Pho in the world. I would have to state that going into Que Huong "Native Village" is just like walking into a Vietnamese village and having one of the elders cook you some soup! Seattle had the largest variety of Pho restaurants, A place in Portland, Maine has more Pho variety but Que Huong is the best tasting around! We're from NYC and we ate here as we were on a mini vacation. There aren't a lot of Vietnamese or Thai restaurants in the area, so we decided to give this place a try and oh boy, the food was really good. The server was also very nice! With this Covid thing, not a lot of places offer dine in, but this place does. Glad we ate here and well most likely eat here again when we come back for spring or summer. read more

Shitty Service but great food. They stay open til 8, but TRY to go in at 7:15 and sit down and you WILL be refused service because they want to leave for 8pm. Was told that my party could not sit down because they wanted to leave. They need to change their hours if they want to conduct business like that. RUDE! Been a regular customer for about 2 years now I have to find a new noodle place cause this service is so wack!!! The teenage daughter who is the server and front of house (only one who works the front) has the worst attitude and obviously would rather be doing teen things than working there. She is totally annoyed all the time. I kinda let it slide since the food is so good, but the recent sistuation has just pushed it over the edge with the behavior. The owner/mom is kinda set in her ways and needs to hire more people because they can't keep up with their current business. I admit to not knowing much about Vietnamese cuisine, but I've had a few very enjoyable meals here to date. What I like about Vietnamese food, at least what I've had here, is that it feels a little lighter on the stomach than Thai or Chinese, and is not greasy in the least. I had to try the Pho on my first visit, and I wasn't disappointed. I got it for takeout, and I like how they package everything separate for the customer to mix at home. everything was flavorful and generously portioned. I had a vermicelli dish on my second visit and I liked that even more - very fresh and tasty vegetables stand out in memory. The appetizers have also been delicious, particularly the shrimp shumai. They have a nice clean dining room. The location is on the main strip through town, before you get to the mills and the active downtown area coming from the direction of Saco. It's not the best position as the surrounding businesses are uninteresting/sketchy/abandoned, so it's easy to drive right on by. Don't. It's worth a stop. read more

I am confused by the other reviews. I'm not sure if they've never had amazing pho before. But this is not the place to go if you'd had great Viet food before and want to relive the experience. I've eaten Vietnamese food in NY, Boston, and homemade... this place was not only a let down, some of the food was hard to even eat. The ladies were very sweet so I thought I'd give it a try, but $15 could have gone to a nice bottle of wine or something. I ordered the medium beef pho (#20 I think). All you could taste in this broth were the star anise which made me think, okay maybe this pho will be decent because they were serving it with the typical beansprouts, basil, lime, all the necessities in a good bowl of pho. Then I got to the noodles. You could instantly tell from the first bite that the noodles were NOT freshly cooked. But instead REHEATED and no less in the microwave presumably (I saw them utilize the microwave 4 times in the 20 minutes I was there...). The noodles were MUSHY. I got to the point where I almost wanted to gag because of the texture of the mushy noodles. The other dish ordered was... #15? It was the rice noodle combo of the fried spring roll and "grilled pork." I say "grilled" because I heard no sizzle of the grilling while waiting for my food. The pork was forgettable, no grill marks, or taste of any kind of caramelization. Again, the rice noodles used in this dish was obviously reheated because again, texture was an issue and the noodles were simply TOO wet which watered down the entire meal. The fried spring roll was not very crispy or a golden brown but at least there were the standard glass noodles, carrot, and pork in it. I can say the food is authentic, but just not good. read more

Have many selections but the reason why I love Vietnamese restaurants is because of thier pho, banh mi or spring rolls. For this visit I got the spring rolls and pho. Both are at the price I expected it to be. However, the spring rolls are a little tiny than I expected. the price for the spring rolls are 3.95 and for the large pho is 9.75 let me tell you, the pho here is great.
