Instead of staying in tourist traffic hell, we decided to venture into Biddeford and found Thai Me not only nearby but also without a wait! The dishes were hot and satisfying. Drinks were amazing. Listen, I could rattle off everything we had but it was legit so good that we came back two days later. Between the two trips, nothing was bad and I feel confident that you could order anything off the menu and be happy. They can make things as spicy as you like but we found most of the dishes to be quite mild which was just fine for our discerning four year old. Also, seeing a Shirley Temple on the menu tickled her so much that we had to get one and it was very good as well. We might be back for a third visit! read more

Came here a handful of times before leaving this review to get a good feel of the quality of their food. Ambiance was ok. It a bit dark and dated. First time was decent and thought maybe the chef was having a bad day. I returned about 2 months later and ordered the Tum Yum combo soup which costs $20. As soon as the dish came out I knew it's going to be a bad experience. Tom Yum was so blonde and it literally tasted like dish water with a touch of heat. I ordered a 3 for spice level. As you can see from the photo, there's no oil or any red flavor that authentic Tom Yum normally has. The chicken was gross looking and it tasted just like it looked. There's about a handful pieces of small chunks of beef. No greens like green onions or cilantro. This dish was super disappointing. When I brought it to the waitress's attention her response was they don't make the soup authentic. They make it for "white people" taste. What in the world?!? I had asked her again what she meant by that and she said it again? I just don't understand. White or people of color, regardless of skin color they should be making authentic tasting Thai food. We found this wonderful place because we were driving by Biddeford and realized we had better stop for dinner soon since the restaurants all seemed to close at 9. I can't believe our luck. This place is a gem. The staff are so friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. They have all the Thai favorites (Pad Thai, curries, stir fry etc.) and also some wonderful less usual items like mango chicken and Maine Crab Rangoon. The drink selection is good & they have a good list of house cocktails. The restaurant is warm and inviting with dining room and bar seating. Service is fast and efficient. It's 5 stars not because it's some fancy schmancy place (I love those too), but because the service, food, and ambiance were all 5 star for the kind of warm, cozy place it is. It's comfortable. The food is simply just delicious. The service is timely and the wait staff appeared at our table just enough. We went very straightforward with our orders this first time, which was a little odd for us, so I'm looking forward to returning and being much more adventurous next time. Still, the Maine crab rangoons were delicious (stuffed full), the pad thai was awesome, and my spouse ate her ENTIRE plate of mango crunchy chicken along with all the rice. Their menu has changed as with major modern contemporary renovations. I like the change in look, it was needed and it shows their investment in their business. The menu also changed. It got smaller and some things taken out. They no longer do sushi. They took out one of my favorite items I order at any Thai place- crab fried rice. But, they gladly made it for me. Their Thai Me pad Thai I enjoyed much more than the original. It has an extra kick in flavor with the shrimp paste. Their mango curry isn't as yummy as I described in my first review. It wasn't as creamy, velvety and smooth. So that was a disappointment. We went for dinner and their portions are extremely generous! We were impressed, I'm so used to high prices and tiny portions for most Thai places. And, their prices are really reasonable! Pleasant service, too. The COVID-19 lockdown is still in place so we got some Thai Me to go last night. It was just as good as ever, with fresh vegetables, tons of flavor, and reasonably sized portions. They stopped serving sushi a few years ago and I still miss that, but the cooked Thai food is worth the trip. We go to Thai Me now and then but after last night's meal I think we might need to go more frequently. read more

The guy who took my order was super sweet and nice... the food came out fairly quick. Get like it was missing some ingredients that it had last time. From the moment we walked in this was an awesome experience! The service was great and the waiter was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. We were just driving through, and based on other reviews thought we would give this place a try. We were not only suprised by the prices, but also by the quality and quantity of food we recieved. Honestly, we had enough for two meals each! I, of course, made a pig of myself and ate my entire dish of drunken noodles and had to literally wobble out the door. It was amazing~ spice level was perfect for me at three~and my husband, son, and daughter in law all agreed that the food was great. They were smart enough to save leftovers for later unlike myself. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and left us feeling good, not bloated (except maybe for me because I ate way to much). The dining area was very clean and well decorated. It was casual, yet at the same time you felt as though you were having a something special. Its the kind of place you would go to with friends, yet you could also go there for a special dinner date and either way fee just as comfortable. Thai food is one of my favorite foods. I fell in love with Thai food when I lived in Virginia and there was an incredible Thai restaurant that I would make weekly visits to. Coming back to Maine, I had yet to find a Thai restaurant that matched what I found in Virginia, and Thai Me comes very close. When it comes to the staff and service, I would rate it 2 or 3 stars. I came to Thai Me with a group of 12 other people. We had made a reservation a couple of weeks in advance, however, when we got there, they had no recognition of our reservation. They were quick to accommodate, but it almost felt like we were an inconvenience for the staff. Before we started ordering, our waitress had asked if we were doing separate checks, so we told her who would be on whose bill. At the end of our dinner, another staff member came over and stated that they were extremely busy and that they were not able to split the bills. The people at our table figured out how to split the bill and gave them to our waitress. They rang each bill correctly, however, we were told that next time, we would need to put it on one card and it would be up to us to pay the person that paid the whole bill. What kind of restaurant does this? I don't blame our waitress, but I do blame the young male staff member who consistently made it seem like we were just an overall inconvenience. That being said, the food at Thai Me is top notch. I ordered the drunken noodles and the fried pork dumplings, and both were very, very good. The ingredients were fresh and the food was plated nicely. Their portions are also very large! I want to try Thai Me again, maybe with less of a party to see if the service changes, however, in order to keep in business, I think the owners need to really crack down on their employees, because their food certainly is amazing. read more

I ordered appetizers, spring rolls and coconut shrimp. the menu said 4. what you get is 2 cut in half. and they are not typical Asian spring rolls. these are 98% lettuce with a few shreds of red radish. the coconut shrimp, I got 4. over done dried out and burned to a dark brown. they looked like something that might come out of your dog if he ate a box of toothpick. hard stab in the mouth, oily dried up things on a stick. but hey, they did put a pretty flower on my plate to enhance the presentation. The wife had shrimp pad Thai. She received a slurry bowl of oily ramen noodles with 5 shrimp. She was so disgusted she only ate the shrimp and left the mess. So disappointed, we've been a customer for 4 years. We ordered dinner tonight at 6:13 pm and it's 9:07 pm and we still have yet to receive our meal. When we called they claimed the driver was in an accident in the snow but it's not snowing...it's never showed up and they are not picking up their phone. How ironic that they close at 9. They kept assuring us that it was on its way. Definitely not satisfied or happy Update: called today 2/14/2021 to say we still never received food, refused to send food that we ordered last night (2/13), says will take up to 7 days for a refund and then she hung up on my husband. read more

Thai Me is pretty good... the Pad Thai with Chicken is freshly made and the lunch portion is definitely a meal. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The Pad Thai however is a little bland. Really good food has real depth to its flavor. You experience the taste rather than just tasting it... Thai Me food flavors are "surface only". Not much depth at all. So, if you're in Biddeford and you want Thai then Thai Me will be okay. Just have reasonable expectations! read more
