First time ordering here. I got the chicken chow mei fun. Oh, what fun and yum! I called ahead to ensure it didnt have curry in it (I CANT STAND curry. Gross). Been on the hunt for a place that does good Cantonese style Lo Mein, and I think I've found it. Most places use the soft spaghetti type noodles and not the kind you would get in a pan fried noodle (Cantonese style) either because they don't do pan fried noodle or they won't do special requests like that. Thankfully Yummy did it without question and it turned out wonderfully. Everything was even less oily than I've had from other Chinese restaurants. Worth noting, but not really a bad thing, is the fried rice was very different than I've had everywhere else, in that it had chunks of carrot, peas, and onion in it and looked nothing like you'd get everywhere else; but it still tasted good so don't let the presentation put you off. I'd be happy to order from here again and see how the rest of the food is. read more

I found what appears to be a TOOTH in my egg foo young. It could be (I'm hoping) a piece of opaque tooth shaped glass, but I don't want to touch it to rinse it off and inspect it. So disgusting. I been coming here for so long. And I love this local sushi place. If I crave for sushi or any Japanese food I go here. Super Fresh, Super Fast And GOOD PRICES! I don't write alot of reviews but I had to write one for this place. I couldn't believe all these neg reviews! Honestly, I'm in love with this place. I've eaten here well over 10 times, I usually get the sushi, appetizers or special rolls. Their stuff is always fresh. I've never waited longer than 10 mins for even large take out orders, they deliver relatively fast, their estimations are accurate at least. Presentations are professional. One of the best things about Yummy is that I can eat here no matter how far I am from pay day, If I've got some extra cash I can splurge some higher end special rolls, if not I can get a couple great rolls for $10. The Chinese options are really affordable, I've had the chicken and pork fried rice and crab rangoon, both really decent. I recommend their 'yummy salad' the original dressing compliments the roe and the fish is really fresh, but its not very big. Its great to share it as an appetizer with a few rolls. I recommend the Beauty and the B, Alaskan, and spider roll. I really like their bbq eel, which is included in a lot of different rolls too. Im not much of a fan of their tuna or smoked fish however. But if you can find a better sushi joint in the area I'd be surprised, don't miss out!! read more

I ordered through Grub-hub and was having my food delivered to my work. My office is a building with our name large and clear on the front, not hard to find. I paid for my meal and I waited over an hour for my delivery before calling the restaurant where i was greeted with "Hello?", no name of the restaurant or anything, had to ask if I called the right place. When that was confirmed, they said they were just closing when it clearly states they are open from 11am-10pm. I asked about my order and why I hadn't received it yet, they said they didn't know where the address was. Nobody had called me to figure anything out, so were they planning on just taking my money and not giving me the goods i had paid for? Never ordering from this place ever again. An update... I used to love this place-- really, REALLY love... Until my last visit. I personally don't eat fish so I always order vegetarian sushi. On the other hand my husband loves sushi and sashimi. We ordered our usual orders on our last dinner visit in early July and I was completely fine but my husband started having stomach pain the morning after eating the sushi. (We know that eating raw and undercooked fish can make you sick however when it's prepared FRESH and professionally it should be completely safe to consume or otherwise they wouldn't allow it to be served) He suffered with diarrhea (sorry-tmi) and stomach spasms for over a week before we got him in to see a doctor and turns out he had a stomach infection (he's stubborn and thought he could suffer through it and it would get better on its own- wrong). The doctor put him on a slew of medications for infection, stomach discomfort and stomach spasms. He would have intense stomach pain an hour after he would eat anything and it would last anywhere from half an hour to a few hours every time. We changed his diet- nothing helped with the pain. The real lifesaver for him was the bentyl the doctor prescribed for the stomach spasms that reduced the pain. It took him about 6 weeks to completely recover and he can now finally eat without pain again. So in a nutshell- never again. Never, ever, EVER will i ever order anything from there again, regardless of how incredibly amazing the sweet potato sushi tastes. My previous review: They have theeee best sweet potato sushi. I'm not a fish person so my choices are usually limited to cucumber or avocado at most places but the sweet potato is a nice alternative. It's deep fried sweet potato and it comes with a brown sauce drizzled- absolutely delicious! You must try it! They also have bubble teas- lychee is my fav :) read more

not good. i had a cold, so i ordered chicken rice soup. it arrived in a nice container, but it was BROWN! The co-worker immediately text me to come to the lunch area and we identified there was a full fledged fly that was fried with the crab Rangoon!! How disgusting is that!!! I can't believe that anyone posted badly about Yummy. This is one of my favorite places in the area. Everything is delicious. Their sushi is great. My boyfriend didn't like sushi before he had sushi at this place. Now he's addicted. I've never had one bad thing from this place. I like how they offer a variety of smoothie additives aside from the basic tapioca balls. Can you say mango pearls? Delicious! They have great prices for sushi as well. Their basic sushi rolls range from $4-$6. You can't get much better than that. I would highly recommend this place. read more

There was a whole lot of hair on my food, the delivery man took an extra $10 and did not even ask if i wanted change, simply walked away. When I came to complain they would not give me full refund because I "did not bring the whole order" when no one even told me to bring any part of the order! I payed $40 when i was only supposed to $30 and they would not give me the full $40 back. Not to mention when I called them about the refund "sorry we are too busy to have someone bring you a refund, you have to come here" I came, and guess what? still no full refund. First time ordering from here. Called them and felt bad we weren't really prepared to order when the lady took our delivery over the phone. I was still looking at the menu and we had questions, but she was patient and we got our order in. Food was delicious!! Ordered California Roll, Dragon Roll, Chicken w/ Veggies, Beef & Broccoli along with Lo Mein with shrimp & beef fried Rice. Everything tasted fresh....veggies crisp and tasty and rice light & fluffy. So we have been ordering at Chinese Kitchen in Schiller Park for years, and lately wanted to try something new. This place is way better. Number 1 thing they clean their small shrimp, few places do, especially for the price range. The food is clean and tasty. I have read some reviews of staff being not so friendly, I must say I think its mainly cultural difference, at least thats the notion I got on the phone when ordering. Food **NEVER ARRIVED**, order was cancelled, I was still charged, and owner REFUSED to refund. I've ordered from this place many times. Their food is good, but they have the worst and most inconsistent service I have ever received in my life, from any restaurant ever, and that's not an exaggeration. Once, it took over 2 hours & 30 minutes for my food to arrive (and they're only ten minutes from my house). I swore I'd never order from them again after that. Boy do I feel stupid for giving them another shot. This time, not only did I never receive food at all, but they stuck me with a $30+ bill and are refusing to refund. I never received any food from them, but they still charged me! I had to call my bank and open a formal fraud dispute -- all over something as stupid as takeout. Don't ever order from this place. There are many, many good Chinese restaurants in Chicago, and you should not reward those who don't respect their customers. read more

Don't order their green tea smoothie!!!! It tasted like I drank a bottle of old woman perfume! It was just terrible!!!!!!!!!! The food is ok. I've had them once before and I had no issues. They even showed up earlier than my estimated delivery time. (I order off Grubhub.) This time, though, it's a different story. I placed my order around 8:30pm and got an estimated delivery time of 9:20pm. Now I know sometimes they're going to run a little late and there's traffic or a lot of orders that need to be delivered, I get that. But at 9:40pm I called and asked how much longer it would be. The lady said soon that there was traffic. Ok. You're not that far from me so there can't be that much traffic. THIRTY MINUTES LATER it's still not here, I call back and she answers again saying another fifteen minutes. So I have to wait 2 hours for chicken and broccoli and crab rangoon. This is getting ridiculous. 10:30pm and still nothing. UPDATE: it got here as soon as i posted this. the guy was nice enough about it and said they were understaffed so I guess I'll let it slide this time. But I will be more cautious about ordering with them next time. the food is good though. read more

This is our second time to Yummy and we love it. This is not your hole-in-the wall Chinese place. The decor is modern and classy. The food is plentiful and has a light taste (not greasy and heavy like other Chinese restaurants.) I love that I can enjoy sushi and Chinese food at the same meal.
