I saw they offer rolled ice cream and we had to make a stop. The girls ordered off the self-serve machine and watched a guy come from the back to the counter to make it. The portions are large and the nice cream is delicious! Definitely give it a try! read more

The prices have gone up and there is nothing I (celiac) can safely eat here, but my parents (who live five minutes away from Asian Express LOVE the egg rolls and my husband really enjoyed the chicken lo mein. I love boba tea and the smoothies and ice cream look great. I'll be sticking to those (if they can accommodate me by cleaning the blender.) (If not, the rest of my family still likes this place.) read more

Very generous portions and super friendly service! The staff was welcoming, and everything was served hot and fresh. The restaurant itself was neat, clean, and well-maintained, which added to the overall pleasant dining experience. Definitely a great spot for a satisfying meal! read more

Now listen here: THIS is my go to spot for Chinese food. Owners are very nice, and wow, do they fill up the takeout container! Not expensive at all, and the one entree and side can fill up a family. The restaurant itself is very cozy and now has kisoks to order from. Keep in mind, if you plan on buying from here, don't go on Tuesdays! They're closed. read more

Is this the best Chinese food I've ever had? Not even close. But is the two entrée with a side worth $9 in their daily special? Oh yea, 100%. I got the chicken with mushrooms and Mongolian beef with half rice half noodles. The Mongolian beef was marked with 2 spicy peppers ( I think this means hot) but as a white girl with zero spice tolerance, I'm here to tell you, it's not spicy and is actually pretty good. The chicken was also juicy. I didn't like the rice, it was a too crunchy for my taste but the chow mein was good, maybe a little greasy. But you can't beat two days of lunch for $9. read more

I will never come back to this place. I ordered shrimp fried rice and as I opened the box and grabbed a spoon full I noticed something in the spoon. This thing looked like a small creature with legs. I immediately called them, explained what I found and asked if I could return this since I haven't even taken a bite. So I go back and ask for a refund. I show them this thing on my spoon and they mentioned it's a fish bone. Weather this was a fish bone or not at this point I just wanted my money back (which they did refund and this point it's pending). I didn't sign up for fish bones or whatever in my shrimp fried rice. That shouldn't of even been in the food, I'm almost positive there is no quality control in that kitchen. I'm definitely never coming back to this establishment. read more

This is the only boba in the area. While the drinks don't exceed my expectations (like Gong Cha), they're pretty good if you need a boba fix and there's a lot of options! But it's a bit overpriced for the quality. I have no idea about the food quality since I only got drinks so take my words with a grain of salt. read more

Fast, fresh, and great service, would recommend. I absolutely love this place and the food is good.

I was fairly surprised this place got 4.5 starts and it is 5 minutes from where I work. And I have not tried it? Needed to fix that. I think I should really give a 3.5 star but I really could not really give it a 4 saying I'm a fan. It is fairly clean and friendly Chinese take-out place but I didn't really care about the food. I got my lunch special with soup for less than $6 by picking out from 15+ pre-cooked dishes. The to-go box came with lots of lo mein, beef with broccoli, and hot and spicy chicken. The owner stuffed the box to the maximum so it could hardly be closed properly. The noodle taste fairly fresh and not mushy being pre-cooked. The broccoli was fresh and a bit crunchy as I like. The beef was tender however loaded with soy sauce and sugar. The hot & spicy chicken was not spicy and taste too "chicken" meaty. But my coworker tried a few bites and said it was fine. Maybe I'm just too picky. I have to point out this place is fairly clean and the services was great. read more

Literally took an hour to deliver burnt pot stickers and soup.. ridiculous. My order was also missing dipping sauce for the potstickers. No one in my office will order from here and I kept ordering these two basic things, but never again. My break room smells like burnt food. Completely unacceptable to take the full hour for a basic order and bringing it burnt. I'm so disappointed. I put two stars instead of one because the staff was friendly. read more

I have been here 3 times. Why? Close to my place. Two people can eat dinner for $11 ( one plate divided in two). And the flavor isn't that bad. Not great though, but no that bad. Also, is convenient if you want a quick dinner. read more

Great egg rolls these were not. They definitely aren't homemade. And they tasted like they were heated up in a microwave. My shrimp egg foo young literally had two shrimps in it. But that was surprisingly the only decent thing in the order. The sweet and sour chicken was severely over cooked. And the sauce came in an extra small container devoid of the green peppers, pineapple, etc. not to mention it was half full. I could go on. But what's the point. The food is mediocre to just plain awful at a premium price. As for the people who give this place good reviews. They must think Panda Express is a fine dining experience. Lol! read more

Tasty, fast, and customer friendly price Chinese FAST FOOD restaurant~! Food: Tasty but a bit sweet taste Chinese foods. Some of them reminded me of college cafeteria foods in Beijing. Much better than NEW STAR Chinese Restaurant in Elmwood or other Chinese restuarants in China town. Smoothies are available too. Service: good. A nice Guang-dong lady or cooks will prepare dishes in the display. Interior and location: Interior is CLEAN and white. It is in a shopping plaza lot, but not very convenient location and size for a drive-though. Price: Good. Lunch menu-two dishes and a choice of rice or noodle- is less than $5. You will find your money's worth here. read more

I visited the location on Sunday night after going to New Star in Elmwood Park for a pick up order. My Son wanted a fruit smoothie which New Star did not have. I ordered three smoothies: strawberry watermelon w/ tapioca, mango with tapioca, and strawberry banana WITHOUT tapioca. Once home, I realized the smoothie ordered without the tapioca had tapioca in it. The lady that was sweeping the lobby came behind the counter, blew her nose, opened the pop cooler and took her Dunkin Donuts cup and drank it. She then went on to bag a customer's food order and then went to taking down the food display. Nasty! read more

Ok, let me first state that I am writing this review as I eat, because I cannot put my fork down. I ordered here for lunch after checking Yelp, and decided to see if it was still good. It IS!!! The place is cute (but watch your step going in). It is set up cafeteria style, so you can pick out your food, but not have to worry about thousands of strange hands touching it. The staff was friendly and they work together to get the customers pushed though quickly. The food, Delish! Like I said, I am still eating it. It was quick service and a great price. Like $5 for two entrees and lo mein. They have a pretty good selection of food, and the smoothies look amazing. I didnt have one, but the people in front of me bought two and they are made with fresh fruit in front of you. I will definitely go back. read more

I decided not to cook for Christmas and decided to have these guys cater my dinner for my family. It was delicious! The service was awesome! The 2 young ladies at the front took great care of me and when my food was to be delivered at 12 on Christmas Day it was there. I couldn't find good food since I've moved to the area until I went here. It's safe to say that I will definitely be using this place for events, holidays and even just a regular meal. Thank you all for making Christmas Dinner great! You guys are awesome! read more

Loved the food and the ridiculously low prices! The smoothies are so good too. The staff was very friendly and bathroom was extremely clean. I will definitely come back soon. read more

I walked in and was immediately struck by 2 thoughts almost simutaneously. First that the place smelled like great food and also that the place was extremely clean. Normally I notice cleanliness or lack thereof after a few minutes, but in this case it was something that jumped out at me as soon as I entered the restaurant. I got my food to go and in their defense it was an hour before I got home and tried the food I'd ordered. The food was real good, but as I mentioned it was an hour riding around with me and not even rewarmed prior to eating it so that would explain why it was only real good. I am confident that if I'd have eaten in the restaurant and had it while it was still nice and hot that I would have enjoyed it even more than i did and that is why I'm giving this place a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star review. Also, the serving sizes were quite large for a very reasonably priced meal. I found the young lady working behind the counter to be very friendly which is always appreciate. My only suggestion for the this place would be that the broccoli in the beef and broccoli was very large pieces so if they could cut it into bite size pieces that would be a big improvement. Even with the super sized broccoli there was plenty of beef so it's not that they were shorting me or anybody on the meat portions. I'm sure the next time I'm in the area I'll stop in and eat there again, and next time I'll dine in so I get to enjoy the meal while it's hot and fresh. read more

First time going here, and definitely not impressed. Food was cold and not flavorful at all. Over priced for the quality. Thumbs down

Given the stellar reviews, I thought I was really missing something here. It's basically Chinese buffet-quality food at a low lunch price. The place is clean and the vegetables are fresh, but the dishes loaded with salt/msg/sugar. I did have a smoothie and it was probably the best thing I got. I'm giving it a generous three stars on the basis of the convenience and price. The food won't kill you, it's just not great by any stretch. Sadly, there isn't a better alternative in this area... read more

I ordered the orange chicken lunch special. The chicken was either soggy or gummy, almost every piece! It looked (and felt) like it's been waiting in those pans for 1-2 days before they served it to me. I'm not huge on Asian food, but this is by far one of the best Asian food places i've ate at. Once I ate at Panda Express and I felt like barfing. This tiny restaurant is kept very clean and the staff is friendly. The food is freshly made and served hot! Note: this is not an actual buffet place, but like a previous yelper wrote: buffet-quality at a low lunch price. The best part of this place is their smoothies!! Whenever I do happen to come here, I always order the most amazing smoothie ever, pineapple kiwi. Everyone should try it sometime. It's not on their menu but I made my own invention and anyone can just make their own inventions as well. read more

One of the skinny girls behind the counter was super rude, they need to throw her in the kitchen frying rice where she's not allowed to speak with the customers. The food was a bit on the gummy side. it's close, it's fresh, and it's cheap. you get that pan-amerasian cuisine, so california rolls, pad thai, and broccoli beef with steamed rice. they've got a great drink menu with the usual ball-ball, smoothie and milkshake suspects. it's one of the few places outside argyle street or chinatown i've seen an avacado milkshake. the pad ke mow tastes like pad thai. so overall, delicious but inauthentic. read more

Maybe 2 stars everything seemed great, lots of food to eat at a great price, then I attempted to eat the rib tips ,the most horrible taste I've ever had in my mouth, entered the first bite, taste like it was cooked in some kind of cleaner, shame, the pot stickers also had a weird taste, so I ate the good stuff and tossed the rest.
