Unassuming restaurant that has great Vietnamese dishes. The pho broth is super rich and flavorful. Bahn xeoh is wonderful and most importantly not too oily. Discovered the place last year and I have eaten there a couple of times. First time I was by myself and ordered the Pineapple Curry. Mmmm, it's as good a they say. The place was not real busy so my meal came out quickly. Service was attentive but not rushed. Second time I took some guests and the place was pretty busy but service was still good and relatively quick considering how many other tables were occupied. Everyone in our party had something different and we tasted around - everything was delicious. Prices are not cheap but quite fair, definitely not expensive. The Pho soup broth was good, but... slight downside for using the fat noodles instead of the thin, glass noodles. It was still good just didn't taste the same. Iced coffee was delicious too. Service: The old man that helped me out was so nice! Smiled, brought the food fast, he was awesome. Atmosphere: It's a cute place inside and fairly large too, they have a second room that can seat more people. Nice decorations but not overboard. After a quick pick-up at O'hare, my BFF and I decided to grab some food in the area before the hour drive south. A quick search and we settled on Broccoli. It was quiet on a drizzly Thursday afternoon, which was perfect for dining in. I had a drink from the bar that tasted good but light on alcohol, along with the chicken egg roll appetizer and Tom Yum soup. Bestie is vegetarian so she had the vegetarian pho. Service was good, primarily a gentleman who waited on us and worked the entrance. He was very solicitous with a calm energy. We came from O'Hare airport after an evening flight. The place has recently expanded and is clean but basic in dining room atmosphere. The owner was our server; remarkably pleasant and attentive. We got soup, spring roll appetizer, and Pad See Ew with chicken. Portions were average size, food was delicious and prices competitive but not a bargain given the location and casual atmosphere. It is a very standard Asian restaurant with hardly anything that stood out. We had gotten there rather late at night around 930 pm for a late dinner after dropping off someone at the o'hare airport. It is a small family run restaurant with a very standard menu. Portions were small to modest, taste was average to good. Prices slightly steep but recently everyone has hiked the prices after the tariffs have gone into place. The place was clean strongly smelling of chemicals/ bleach...probably they were just done cleaning since it was late in the evening. So it was a little unappetizing to eat in that smell. Overall, very standard, modest asian family run restaurant, with the advantage of being open late. Typically, my phone eats my dish first.... But here, I did not take any pictures. read more

The chef is the owner and she puts all her skills to create delicious Asian cuisine like a 5 star restaurant! The place needs a little more decor but I am not there for that! Good pho with nice atmosphere and decor. I found this restaurant randomly since we were in the area and looking for a place to eat. It's an Asian fusion place with a mish mash of Asian cuisine, but realistically it's a Vietnamese-Chinese restaurant with some Thai dishes, although they do have tacos on the menu for some reason. The pho was good; broth was flavorful and portion size was decent. Noodles was slightly on the overcooked side but overall good tasting. I ordered the wonton noodle soup as well. I wasn't the biggest fan since I think it needed slightly more umami and was a little too sweet. Adding in some chili oil made it much better. Vietnamese coffee was good and so was the strawberry smoothie. Overall good experience and I recommend the place to anyone in the area. read more

It's okay. The restaurant is clean, the service was great, the spring rolls with peanut sauce were very good, but the soup....meh, mediocre. My dining companion and I ordered their Won Ton Noodle Soup, mine had pork included. The Won Tons were tough and chewy, the broth a bit weak, and pork was tender, but lacking seasoning or flavor. And for the portion size, I felt I paid way too much compared to other restaurants. I'd go back, if I was in the neighborhood, and only to try something other than soup on the menu. We ordered the wonton egg noodle soup, tom yum soup, mango salad, pad thai, and pineapple fried rice! The wonton egg noodle soup was very good, reminded me of home cooking. I didn't end up having the mango salad, pad thai, or the tom yum soup we ordered, but my family said it was good. The pineapple fried rice was so good!! It was moist, warm, and very flavorful. I'd recommend it to anyone, really. I don't know if it was the owner, but the man who took our order was so kind. Had the short rib pork buns - so flavorful and fresh. Then the Wonton soup. It was so good. The wontons were soft and well flavored meat. The bone broth was fresh and light with fresh green leafy vegetables that were soft but still with a slight crunch (fresh!). BAD: Pad See Ew - Shrimp Wide noodles were mushy, tiny shrimp no tail, with a few limp broccoli pieces - weird because I thought the broccoli would be the STAR since it's the name of the restaurant. Lol! Crab & Cream cheese crispy rolls - unappetizing at best mystery stuffing and oily wrap. Everything minus the rolls had good flavor so maybe it was an off day. This is the essence of what makes a great dining experience. A totally authentic Asian place with colorful decor and the feeling of being in Ho Chi Min City in a mom and pop restaurant.
