I was disappointed with the szhechuan beef, barely had any beef it was loaded with mostly veggies and a lot of oily soup or liquid was served with the beef. Highly don't recommend the beef. This use to be the BEST Chinese food in the area. I hadn't been here for awhile. I decided to order from them yesterday and what a MAJOR disappointment! First, the crab rangoons are totally different from what they use to be. I also got a large combination egg food young and all the patties were burnt on one side. I get sometimes they get busy and things happen, but you should've made fresh ones and not served the ones you burnt and then cover them up with gravy. I also got beef chow fun and all the noodles were stuck in big clumps. I had to literally pull them apart. My free order of chicken fried rice was terrible. They use to have THE BEST fluffy fried rice but this was like sticky rice. The only thing that was tolerable was the pepper steak (w/o black beans). I spent $66 and it was a WASTE OF MONEY! You all got my money but I will NEVER be back here again. My son told me he stopped ordering because the food was different. I wish I would've listened. Looking for a quality Chinese carry out. Traveled outside the area due to reviews. We ordered broccoli and beef, orange chicken,crab rangoons , chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein. The beef and broccoli had a nice taste but very fatty. The orange chicken was good. The fried rice, lo mein and crab rangoon were all tasteless. The place looks like a former convenient store inside a strip mall with many tables. More of a fast food rather than sit down. It was very clean and portions were average. Prices were fair. I really liked that you can request how spicy you want your food. The food was great, I liked how the sweet and sour sauce was put on the side, so you can dip and add to your liking. I wanted to give a shout out to Chinese Kitchen on their Covid response take out/pickup process, it is totally on point. We ordered some food for pick up, not quite sure what to expect. When I arrived, the normal entrance, had been completely framed in with wood to create a two way booth of sorts. The credit card machine is conveniently located on a counter on the outside of the booth. They also have a helpful note posted with a phone number to call if they happen to be in the back. There is also an intercom system wired in place for both parties to be able to communicate with each other. I gave them my order name, they confirmed my order, then came out to the booth with sliding windows to place my order inside the booth. I paid with my credit card, slid my window open and grabbed my order. It was that easy. Nicely done CK! read more

We go to Chinese Kitchen often because it's close to my husband's work and my daughter loves them. Their lemonade mixed with their ice tea is especially a favorite and they have a big selection of smoothies that they will add tapioca too...a favorite of the teens in our lives. The restaurant is also clean, a decent size for eating in, and the staff is fairly polite, though they aren't overly friendly. They have a large selection and variety of dishes. Our daughter loves their sesame chicken, though I"m not a huge fan of it because the sauce resembles a sweet and sour sauce instead of a brown sauce. I've also noticed that there dishes that don't come with vegetables don't even have broccoli served with them....I feel just a bit less guilty when my orange or sesame chicken is served with broccoli. The food is comparable to most Chinese restaurants The saving grace of this place is that they have decent prices and the large portions can serve 3-4 people, while the small can serve two. They also have some coupons on their website that they have always honored when I place an order in person. Distant from O'Hare airport: Less than 10 minutes by car. The inside of the restaurant is bright and welcoming. There were tons of items on the menu to choose from. On one of the walls were pictures of some of the dishes from the menu. They also have smoothies. There were plenty of seating with only a few diners and a constant stream of customers dropping by to carry out their food. The main reason I came to check this place out was for the salt and pepper pork. My order: Crab Rangoon (4) $3.35 - Good texture with a decent filling. Hot and Sour Soup (Large) $4.35 - The portion is huge and can easily feed 4. I would even go as far as it feeding 14 people since I didn't want any more after trying a few spoonful. I wasn't a fan of this soup as it had a strange flavor. I also pulled out what seemed to be a piece of plastic from my mouth. It could have been shrimp shell, but there were no shrimp of that size in the soup. Salt n Pepper Pork Chop $9.05 - Big portion, flavors and texture are ok. Mushroom Supreme $9.85 - Big portion, the ingredients are exciting (mushrooms and pea pods), but the reality is very bland. Bottled Water $1.25 The food was not bad but not great.
