i ordered my part on 6-28-2016 it takes 3 days to get to me NOT NOT NOT. it was suppose to be -here 7-5-2016 YRC said it would deliver 7-6-2016, NOT NOT NOT , YRC said it was out for delivery 7-6-2016 NOT NOT NOT 7-7-2016 YRC said it was out for delivery NOT NOT NOT ,Now i am pissed after talking with the YRC again Which they promised it would be delivered tomorrow, so this morning 7-8-2016 I called YRC at 630 am the dispatcher said today between noon and two we will deliver. What YRC doesn't know is i reorder the part shipped it FEDEX paid a fraction more and FEDEX tracking well it shows all and its out for delivery today. Private bet says FEDEX wins, Ready Set Go for FEDEX reliability verses YRC lies and stress. i did get to speak to a manager she sounded bored it was obvious that i was the first of many calls she would have this and every day , i felt sad for her a job where you know you cant fix anything. PS, this has happened every time I have used YRC which in my opinion stands for "You Really Can't" count on us read more

The worst. I was hoping our fiasco was the exception, not the rule... But it seems this is just how YRC operates. After 3 failed delivery dates, and 8 days later... We finally got our shipment. After multiple phone calls & promises that we would be the first delivery of the day (expected delivery at 9 am...) our shipment finally arrived at a little after noon. I will never use this company again, not worth the hassle. And just to repeat everyone else's sentiment again, how are they still in business with such atrocious business practices and customer service?! read more

SHIP WITH YRC AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! They lost this 400lb pallet, over 10k worth of materials and never once tried to contact me, their customer to report a problem. 18 days after they lost it our customer called asking about the status of their delivery. That's when we discovered the problem. We initiated the claim thereafter. After two weeks of searching they still can't find the pallet they lost, even though we attached a label with the destination address on all 4 sides and now they are dragging their feet with the claim and will only and maybe pay a pittance of what its worth and only after making us wait between 30 and up to 120 days. My customer who is missing their product is not going to wait 30- 120 days to find out the status. This is strike two with this carrier and based on their handling of the situation I would suggest NEVER using YRC Freight and paying more for an alternative unless you are comfortable in loosing your shipments! read more

Had a horrible time getting a water tank delivered by this company. We live deep in the country at the end of a county road. The road goes over a creek. There is a small bridge or a ford through the creek. When the driver called and said there were two more stops before he got to us, I gave him directions. He sounded a little unsure about our road, but didn't say he wouldn't come. I thought we would see him within the hour. Four hours later, I called the regional office to see what had happened. He had received word that he couldn't, by company policy, come down our road, and he took our tank back to the hub (an hour and a half away). No one called to tell us this, or give us an option to pick it up out at the nearest state highway - they just took our tank back to the city. When I attempted to re-schedule delivery, not to our home, of course, I was told that it would cost another $200 for them to bring it to us, or we could come pick up the tank at their hub. They refused to recognize that they should have informed us that they were NOT delivering the tank the day they brought it to town. Customer service was useless. The hub manager was unkind. It was a very unpleasant experience dealing with them. Avoid this company. read more

We are a manufacturing company, we use YRC Freight for our shipments. We used this company for decades, but this is not the same reliable company as it used to be. WATCH OUT BE VERY CAREFUL before you use them. I sent out a square-shaped crate, and about two weeks ago I received an invoice from YRC that I still owe them $254.96 because according to them the size of the top of the crate was 3.5" larger than the quote was asked for. I personally measured the crate I had the right measurements. YRC sent me a picture showing a completely different shaped crate. The photo was made above the crate, this way the top looks larger than the bottom. The photo should have been made from the side that way the top and the bottom would look exactly the same. I haven't received any picture showing a measuring tape next to the side of my crate. I tried to dispute it but my case was declined. They just want to make extra money. I won't pay this bill, I will go to the small claim court. read more

I ordered a product from a company who uses YRC. YRC never contacted me to let me know they were delivering the product and tried to get through the gatehouse. The gatehouse wouldn't let them through because they were not on a list of deliveries, because of course we weren't made aware of delivery. When they called to say we were there, I explained that I was not aware of any delivery. Their employee offer to bring it out the next day, Wednesday, but I said I wouldn't be home so we needed to schedule for Thursday. The woman said that they would be out between 12 and 2PM on Thursday and I was here waiting until 2:30PM. I called to ask what happened to the delivery and the woman said we came out yesterday. I told her we agreed on Thursday but she said that wasn't what she wrote in her computer. She also said that she had talked to me to schedule the first delivery and I had agreed to it. I told her she was not correct but she kept saying that's what she has in her computer, which of course can't be true. She said if I want the delivery, I will have to pay for it. I contacted the company I purchased the product from and left a message regarding this delivery company. I have never had an experience like this with any delivery company before. I guess that's why most folks use UPS or FedEx. If I were a company, I would not use YRC to deliver my products because of this experience and their unwillingness to admit their error and provide the type of service my customers expect. read more

At this point, I cannot give them even 1 star, maybe a half star. The online chat feature is the best thing they have going for them. Anyway, a very important part for my work truck was constantly delayed. At one point they admitted it was lost and they had to track it down. It was lost while on the rail I was told. It was delayed in Georgia, then again in Charlotte, NC. I have now been told that if the shipment had been expedited it would have been here by now. But the cost to expedite is not cheap. You would think 2 weeks would be ample time to deliver something from California to N.Carolina. It is now been almost 3 weeks and I still do not have my delivery, it's been delayed again. Once they found my lost shipment I was told it would be here no later than 6-12-13, then I was assured that it was marked hot and would be here no later than the morning of 6-17-13, Now I've been told by noon on 6-18-13 due to yet another delay. If I had a choice of using a horse and buggy or YRC to deliver something, I'd choose the horse and buggy, I'm sure it would be faster. read more

Incompetent doesn't even describe my experience. From Larry in customer service who told me I refused the shipment of my $1,000.00 rug at 5:30 PM 11/23 while I was talking to him from home at 9:00AM 11/23. To Marni in the warehouse who tells me everyone else screwed up and PROMISED me twice that it was put on a truck today and it would arrive between 12-4. I even said to Marni, my husband cab come pick it up. She said no it will be delivered. Called back at 3:30 after sitting home all afternoon to be told by Rhonda that it was never put on a truck and it was NOT being delivered today, she also said customer service should be fired for passing my call off to her! My husband went to pick it up it said in the computer again that we refused delivery. They never called , lied to me all day and every person blamed somebody else. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. Spoke to a man named Greg at the headquarters gave him all the details and he promised me he would be speaking to the tow men in charge of the Portland operation which I plan to myself as well. read more

If I could give a 6 I would. YRC did everything right for me and I am a paranoid, over questioning customer. This was my first shipment by truck and I had heard and read some horror stories. I contacted a couple of the online freight brokers and prices were so varying that I was scared to death. One gave me great quotes online but then would call to confirm everything and start raising the prices. Sometimes more than double. And the weight class system seems to be totally arbitrary. Finally I found YRC's website and requested a dimensional quote. It was a very good quote but I was still afraid they would get me somehow. I called customer service 4 times and every time I spoke with a real intelligent helpful person. Each time I was reassured there would be no surprises. Well, Last week I dropped off the shipment in Piedmont, SC and was thoroughly amazed at how positive and simple the experience was. Today (6 days later) it was delivered across the country to the residential address with liftgate delivery, on time and in perfect condition. This experience was as good as I could have ever imagined. THANK YOU, YRC! And special thanks to the three customer service people that answered all my questions with great patience, sorry the only one I remember the name was Roxanne. The other two gentleman were just as helpful and patient. read more

Ordered an Air Compressor with all shipping included, YRC shows up says its a $150.00 lift gate charge...ok paid it. Then they contact me saying they billed me and the shipper for the lift gate charge, so they were going to refund my $150....never happened. This took place in March, it is now August and they have sent me to collections for $203 that I never paid them??? They owe me money and I get sent to collections? Rude service from terminal. My order sat at their terminal for a week until they could make it out my way. Really? Just deliver like you said and get some better book keepers...I now get to battle collectors that think I am doing everything not to pay a bill, when in reality I pay ALL my debts on time, every time and this is one that I just don't owe. AVOID AVOID AVOID this company at all costs. I cannot believe they survive in the private sector, oh wait, they make it so difficult to dispute anything and keep your money when they overcharge....shoddy business practices at their best. read more

Same horrible service here ont he east coast as out west. YRC called to schedule a delivery and we had a family emergency on the day of delivery, not wanting to face a stiff rescheduling fee, we arranged for our retired neighbors to open the house for the delivery. The driver was alone and the crate was heavy. With my eldery neighbor at the house the driver said he couldn't deliver the item by himself and left. When I called to reschedule I was told they only provide one driver and I'd have to help with the delivery. They were going to charge me a redelivery fee, but they've said it will be waived since I called. The package is supposed to arrive next week (bathroom project delayed 7 days now) and I fear it's going to be left on the curb like the review below. Unfortunately I see nothing but wasted time on the phone and more frustration coming my way. It's unfortunate that Overstock.com has associated themselves with such horrible service, it really makes me think twice about using either company in the future. read more

We purchased cabinets and had them sent through yrc. They were shrink wrapped in black shrink when we picked them up so we couldn't see if anything was damaged. As we were putting more and more cabinets together we started to notice dings and dents on almost every cabinet - sometimes even holes. Luckily for yrc, the damage to our cabinets was not on any facing of the cabinets. But though all of the damage they caused will not be visible from the face of our cabinets, because we paid out a lot of money for them, I would've appreciated it if they took a little more care in the way they handled them. It would've also been very inconvenient and expensive if I would have had to reship damaged cabinets back - especially since we are half way through our remodel. I would not reccommend this company as they are careless with your hard earned money and do not treat what you order as they would their own. I believe that if I pay money for a service, it should be done very well and it should be done with care - the massive amounts of damage to our cabinets showed a complete lack of responsibilty on the part of yrc. read more

This place is pure Garbage. If I put modestly here, When ever I order anything else from anywhere online, I'll ask if they use YRC for shipping. If they yes, Im going to cancel the order. I believe a shipping company should be swift, accurate, and proffessional. Not bring me a package whenever they feel like it. I ordered a full body kit for my car before the Holidays and was not surprised that the estimated delivery time is Jan. 2 . Now the trailer in my city, as of the 2nd, Tracked it and now its saying Jan. 6th. Thats a huge gap for me. If I had actually set my schedual up around this, Id be looking stupid. 4 more days? Really ? If whay I ordered is here in my city, Yrc please tell me where so I can pick it up myself. You guys are slow, no where near punctual. I was gonna order so much more from Andyautosport but as long as Yrc is shipping for them, they've lost my bussiness. If your ordering anything soon and these guys are doing the shipping, order in bulk. Get everything you want at one time that way they can only jack you around once. Score....Pure Garbage read more
