I think we all get mad when things don't work right, but when a company listens and helps you to fix the problem. I can't complain about that. Do not use YRC Freight. Here's my story. I shipped $6,500 massage chair from Las Vegas to Michigan, which they charged me $405.11. Included were firm instructions to not stack anything on it. It arrived in Michigan and the factory shipping container was destroyed and there was at least 5 puncture holes in the leather. They offered me $440 and free return shipping to Las Vegas for the chair. To add insult to injury, they sent me a bill today for another $324.48. This is probably one of the worst freight companies I have used for shipments. My freight was suppose to be delivered in 7 days and they are reaching 14 days now. They constantly keep pushing back the delivery date with no valid day of delivery or guarantees. I had 4 skids picked up on 12/17/21 from Massachusetts to be Delivered to Georgia for an upcoming job. we arrived at jobsite believing everything was delivered as tracking showed it was....lo and behold they LOST 3 out of the 4 skids. we had 2 men at a jobsite a thousand miles away with no parts to complete job. They Flew back to Boston, we loaded 2 vans with identical items that should have been delivered and drove back to Jobsite. Lost skids located over 5 weeks after pickup and they would not return to me, said they had to be delivered to original destination. No longer needed as work was now complete. So, got charged for deliveries not made for 5+ weeks, had to pay to get materials sent back to me, wasted mandays, flights, hotel stays, more time to drive roundtrip...filed claim to have these bills cancelled as they did not deliver on time, LOST them for over 5 weeks, we wasted so much time and money on this....they Rejected claiming parts were eventually located and delivered....this is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The ho-hum attitude they have shown throughout is abhorrent and disgusting. Have shipped several times since, *** just shipped 6 skids today. will NEVER Use YRC again ... price is no longer a determining factor in shipping needs...what good is better pricing when it winds up costig thousands more to fix their negligent practices??? They deserve less than 0 stars. Where to start? shipment had a delivery estimate of 7/26/21, no show. Called, it heading to their local warehouse, sat there for a week. Called them, yes we can deliver 8/9, window is 11am-5pm (really?), no-show. Called them: "the driver was running late". Ah ok, so its been sitting 20 miles away in their warehouse for a week, and they can't deliver in their own delivery window, that they confirmed. I'm now expecting extensive back and forth to get my stuff, at this point I'll be lucky if it arrives by the end of the month and is not damaged. YRC was not the carrier that originally picked up my LTL pallet in Washington State, but they delivered my pallet. Took 11 days from the original carrier to YRC to my door in S. Florida. For YRCs part, the communications was excellent thru home delivery with a pallet jack, thru my phone calls for updates, all very professional and I even requested a change in delivery location on the day of deliver (very close) which they had no problem with. No damages noted on pallet items. Honestly can not be happier for the service they provided me. read more

YRC is the worst carrier I've ever used and I'm out several thousands of dollars because of their negligence. First they delivered the shipment late. Then out of the shipment they were supposed to delivered, 1 of pallet of important goods was missing, causing us to miss our production schedule. Then after a week of calling their warehouse to find the pallet, they give up and say its probably lost and recommend we order replacements. We go ahead and order the replacements and file a claim A MONTH AND A HALF LATER, a few days after the claim is file, the lost pallet is "mysteriously" found. Note that there are perishable goods - not only are we not able to use that pallet anymore (we run a subscription box service), the items in there are expired (international perishable goods with short expiration dates.) YRC REFUSES to take any responsibility for: 1) Delivering a month and a half late, causing us great inconvenience and having to order replacements for thousands of dollars 2) The pallet that is a month and a half late being stored improperly as they are perishable goods, and the product being expired Not only were they extremely negligent in handling our product, there is no responsibility or accountability whatsoever. I gave them the info but they were determined to collect it from me because our office was closed when they attempted delivery even though there were instructions to call before delivery to make sure someone was here. I wish there was a zero stars rating. I have now waited two full days for a delivery. Each day I was told 'between 9 and 5'. No updates from them as to where my package is or when it will be delivered despite numerous phone calls and emails. Two hours ago the customer service rep, who was very nice, but clueless as well, emailed me "YRC terminal manager Peter Romano will be calling you with an update". Still nothing. Stay far far away from this company! Update: When they did finally call back it was to inform me that they lost my freight. I had to go back to the seller to start the manufacturing process again. Item was missing items on delivery and was made aware of this ON delivery. I then opens up a loss claim and got declined immediately with no remorse. Horrible company. By far the worst freight carrier I've ever used. Would give NO stars or negative stars. Their customer service and whole operation is a complete joke. First problem - driver shows up with no paperwork and had no idea what he was picking up. He requested a BOL from us, which was NOT forwarded to me from YRC. Literally after 5 minutes - the dispatcher advised the driver to leave, seconds within us receiving the BOL. I had to reschedule a pick up, which was another crappy experience. The scheduler marked an appointment as 8 PM - 12 AM the next day. WHY?! And this is after I specifically said the warehouse closes at 4 PM, no one will be there after. I find this out, of course, the day of the pick up. They cannot re-schedule a pick up for another two days. AND GUESS WHAT. HAPPENS AGAIN. Whoever I re-re-scheduled with, marked pick up time for 8 PM - 12 AM. So a whole 5 business days later, a pick up happens. I call to confirm delivery for the date provided, which DOES NOT match the date on the site's tracking system. I go with it. At this point, anything goes and all information I receive is discredited. I call again, on the day of the delivery that I was provided by the last representative, and am told the shipment will not go out for delivery until the next day.. after I've already provided the receiver with a delivery date. I attempted to speak to a supervisor after being rudely spoken to by multiple representatives, and was placed on 10 minute holds. THIS COMPANY SUCKS. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

AWFUL! Do not use this shipping company. They got my shipment to the Canadian border and let it sit there for two weeks without contacting me or the shipper. I finally called to see what was going on (on hold twice for 1 hour and 45 minutes) and they said the needed a bill of lading from the shipper (which was attached to the package). Once it was across the border and in Seattle they "lost" the package for another two weeks. And then it magically arrived in southern Oregon. The package was crushed upon arrival, even with SO many labels that said not to stack it. My husband and I helped the truck driver slide the 300lb box from his truck to ours. Then I started getting bills from YRC for $372 + $75. The bills stated they were for being held up at the border (for 12 minutes) and use of the lift gate to unload the box. I fought and fought and fought. Finally they dropped the $372 charge, but I am still going to have to pay $75 for the lift gate that we most assuredly DID NOT use. I send and receive LTL shipments for a living and YRC is hands down the worst I've ever dealt with. It's not even close. I have been waiting on a pallet to show up from Tennessee (I'm in Georgia!!!) for 9 days. Every morning this week I've contact them for an update and been told, "it's on the truck for delivery today" but it never shows up. Finally this morning I reached out again and the lady said, "sorry, it is showing up in the system as lost. Is there anything else I can help you with?" TERRRIBLE!!!! I have been in the customer service business for 10+ years and if i EVERRRRRR talked to or treated a customer the way I was treated I would be out of a job. The service here is so ludicrous a POOR REVIEW wouldn't do them justice (matter fact im so dissspointed im leaving this review on more than one location!!) I work for a company that was the third party in the delivery. They confirmed the delivery the day before and all that was asked was what the hours of the business were & if someone would be there to accept the delivery. Nothing was asked about if we had a dock..had a fork lift or needed a lift gate for delivery (which is what a freight company SHOULD confirm when making an appointment with the receiver). When the 20' trailer arrived to our warehouse it was unable to be unloaded & delivered because the truck they sent did not have a lift gate. The driver is the ONLYYYYY good thing about this place, he went above & beyonddddd his duties & sat in our parking lot for 45 mins on the phone with YRC trying to make arrangements to leave the trailer in our possession so we could find a forklift to unload it later in the day. They refused to leave it with us & as the driver was pulling away i received a call from the very rude woman in dispatch. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THAT WAY AS A CUSTOMER!!!!! She not only blamed the whole situation on us for not letting her know when she called that we needed a lift gate...but ended up charging us a ridiculous redeliver fee to bring it back...which they then ended up leaving the trailer with us anyways(they told the driver to come back to the yard). Worst. (Non)delivery. Ever. First attempt: "My truck doesn't fit on your street." Of course, the small lift gate the guy has is way shorter than the Fedex truck that merrily drove by minutes before. Or the full size delux moving truck of the previous week. 4 (FOUR FUCKING DAYS!!!) days pass before I can get a hold of them. "We can schedule tomorrow between 11-2" "Sure." ... Next day, 2:30: Call. "Where is the truck?" "I don't see a delivery appointment for today. How about tomorrow?" WHAT THE FUCK. Two days missed of work. A week late and I still don't have the shipment. And who knows what condition it is from these jackasses.(*) Will always specify "NO YRC" for any freight in the future. Yelp needs to update their interface for negative stars. (*) Truck guy arrived this morning. Truck is on steep hill. House is on steep hill, other direction. He has 400lbs of machine + electronics (which is not made anymore). Not even is there no pallet, they don't even know where it is or even what town it is in. Monday comes - they tell us it will show up for sure. Nope. Tuesday comes - still lost. This is the worst delivery company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I have had 2 nightmare delivery experiences with them in the past year. Both follow the same pattern; they call you, you make a delivery appointment then they don't show up. So you call them back and they couldn't care less that they never showed up and wasted your time, "do you want to reschedule for tomorrow?" Well you want your delivery so you reschedule, right? Then they fail to show up again.(!) Repeat the previous steps until by some quirk of fate you actually receive your package... or not. So I call them and they have no explanation, but that it did not happen. OK, I send my guy home. Then the clowns call to make the delivery at 8:00PM! WTH... Wait, get's better... The call later that evening to reschedule for 1/7 (Thursday), again between 9-5. Promised a 30 minute call. They call me at 1:00pm on 1/7 to confirm for 1/8. Again, WTH! Had my order enroute for over a week and never told me they were going to be late. I had taken the day off to wait for the order. When I called them out on it, they blamed the sender; said they couldn't load it in the truck on-time even though the package was clearly at the facility. All deliveries are curbside. They only sent one old driver, so I couldn't even ask to help bring my order upstairs. One package came with a lot of damage. Do not use them. If you are buying something, and they are using them, demand they use a different shipper. I am still waiting for delivery for a shipment I paid $1000 to ship. My items were shipped from Ohio to Austin. Their routing took the truck through Dallas (where it sat through the weekend and holiday - fine) to Mcalen TX (this required they drive through Austin). It then sat in Mcalen for two days until I called for status (they had scheduled deliver window with me which had passed). Then I was given another delivery date. Then I noticed my shipment is going back to Dallas (again through Austin) and being delayed further missing yet another delivery date they scheduled with me. I don't know if I will ever get my shipment. Update: spoke to two supervisors today. The both assured me the order would arrive in Austin tomorrow. But instead the order sat on a truck ALL DAY in Dallas and was never transferred to the truck going to Austin. So, another day wasted and late while I still cannot plan or run my business. Wow! I own an auto glass company and we ship windshields around the country. YRC freight solicited our business giving us better rates than our previous trucking company. We used them several times with no broken glass. Then when they did break one by standing the pallet on its side, it was marked with red warning sting to not do this,they decided that our $400 glass we sold on Ebay was only worth $17. Well since we owed the $650 for prior shipments they only got a check for $250 and a $400 Ebay invoice. I made them pay for the glass they broke. We will never use them again. read more

We have used this company for years, and every time we get 1 order in from a vendor it is damaged, we have taken all the steps to make sure it is shipped right and in good order both going and coming in. and it has been damaged almost every time, they refuse to pay for their errors, even called and sent pictures, get a form letter saying the blame could be at any end. shipper has driver sign rec'd in good order and we do the same and they still won't pay but half a claim. when i called them an employee new about their problems and tried to help us and called me back saying she was told by her boss to shut up or lose your job. they have no scruples or ethics at all NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! They suck. Lost a 497 pound pallet of custom manufactured stainless steel components that took 8 weeks to have manufactured. They supposedly searched for the pallet, but of course never found it. Management was zero help. Since it was shipped class 50, they only paid $994.00, or 2.00/LB on material I paid over $2300.00 for. Not only did they send the freight bill, but they called to collect since we didn't pay it! They suck. Will never use again. I chose 1 star, because 0 stars was not an option. read more
