I stopped here after an appointment to grab a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. To start, the employee working on that day was so incredibly helpful. It was Friday early afternoon. She immediately greeted me as soon as I walked in and then went over all their options with me. They do open face sandwiches but she said any can be made into a regular sandwich. She gave me recommendations as well. I decided to go with the chicken open face sandwich but as a regular sandwich and the sea salt caramel latte to go. The latte was really good and was not weak. I ate the sandwich when I got home and it was also very good. The chicken and sumac onions were delicious! The place has plenty seating if you want to just work and drink coffee or order full meals with friends. There is also a good size patio in the front. It's definitely a nice addition to the area.

Yours Cafe is nice enough spot to meet a friend over coffee and pastries, but it's got stiff competition against nearby Rose Ave and Open City. There's plenty of seating, though I wish their back tables were smaller because then one person using their laptop takes over an entire four-top. Service is a bit slow when the place gets crowded. We left a little early when a large group of book club folks came in and tried to take every available chair they could (they should've called ahead to give the staff a heads up). Food is decent enough, especially the tasty shakshuka with lentils, but the omelet was quite dry. And maybe it's just me getting old, but the classical background music was way too loud for a Sunday. There's enough people chattering to keep the place lively. This space was empty for awhile, so I'm glad Yours Cafe is here, and I wish them success.

Glowing online reviews led me to Yours Cafe across the Woodley Park Metro. Waking in, you'll notice the large space with tables near outlets throughout. To eat, I got the pistachio and chocolate croissant. Unlike other croissants, the pistachio was more of a custard. To drink, I ordered a hazelnut latte. There are restrooms in the back. Service is kind.

This Ethiopian café at 2619 Connecticut Ave NW in DC's Woodley Park is near the National Zoo and offers a charming neighborhood vibe. Its menu features signature dishes, brunch options, quiches, salads, vegan choices, cocktails, sandwiches, teas, matcha lattes, and specialty coffee. We enjoyed brunch here, especially the generous portions, fresh salads, tasty matcha, and excellent signature coffee. The service was exceptional, and the cozy, clean atmosphere was inviting. Kedija's humor and friendliness made us feel very welcome. - The perfect breakfast sandwich was generous, hearty, healthy, and tasty, made with tomato sauce, cheddar, avocado, fig harissa, egg, salt, and pepper. - The brioche egg benedict was delicious. I loved the perfectly toasted brioche bun, smoked salmon, and poached egg, served with fresh salad. - The hearty spicy chorizo pasta was filling, with balanced flavors from chorizo, harissa (a staple in North African cooking), garlic oil, and well-cooked penne pasta. - Their donuts and croissants paired well with signature coffee and matcha lattes.

Honestly, had kind of a strange experience here... we walked in on a Friday night for a sweet treat from their bakery. The server there told us to order from Too Good To Go, which I did but then realized the order was for the next day. The server told us that she'll ask the manager if something can be done about this, then maybe completely forget about it? We were approached by another employee who we relayed this to but nothing happened; finally, the original server came by again. I told her I'm happy to just pick it up tomorrow, but after some more time she got approval from the manager and gave us two pastries (a chocolate croissant and a berry muffin, both of which were fine). I appreciate that the server was perhaps trying to save us money, but the wait, and on top of that, getting just two mid pastries was slightly frustrating. On the bright side, there was live music while we waited, which was nice. There's a lot of space and seating, so it seems like a great WFH spot. 5/10 would maybe recommend, I'd need to try this spot again but am not likely to do so given that I'm in DC for a limited time and all the great cafe options available.

Great little hip modern coffee shop and cafe inside of an old building in Adams Morgan on the on Connecticut Avenue across from the station. The cafe offers quality pastries and food, in addition to a variety of coffee drinks, mostly Ethiopian and French. There is live music as well sometimes, which happened to be soft jazz when I came.

Cute little cafe with outdoor seating. Stopped by here on a Sunday morning for a quick bite to eat and really enjoyed the breakfast toast. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you, but service was pretty quick. There was plenty of seating inside and out. Would definitely come back here if I'm in town again!

You can always count on great food. I have tried so many. They have a wonderful variety - pastries, coffees , snacks and their tarts are superb. And the smash burger came with a delicious onion soup.

I had a great 5-star gluten-free experience here at Yours Cafe in DC. Although they did not have a separate gluten-free menu, the staff was very helpful and took my gluten-free needs seriously. I let the server know about my dietary restriction, and they checked with the kitchen to confirm what could be safely prepared. The service was attentive, patient, and reassuring. They made sure my order was adjusted properly and seemed careful about avoiding cross-contact. The food came out fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. I felt comfortable dining here and appreciated how accommodating the team was. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a gluten-free-friendly restaurant in DC.

If you're in Washington DC, do yourself a favor and stop into Yours Cafe. We found this lovely little café while in town for a work conference and ended up having one of the best team breakfasts we've had in a long time. The coffee was outstanding and every bit of food we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What made the experience even better was the owner herself. She waited on our group and brought such a fun, welcoming energy to the entire place. She was charismatic, engaging, and made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. 10 out of 10 experience. Great food, amazing coffee, and exceptional hospitality. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in DC.

This place is not only insanely delicious, it is also beautifully decorated and the owner is the most welcoming and sweetest! The mural inside is a MUST see about the history and origins of coffee... spoiler: coffee was discovered in Kaffa, Ethiopia. What a lovely establishment! Newly opened, July 5 2025. The owner, Khadejah, was delightful; she was friendly and welcoming. Her food was fresh, healthy, and delicious. Served on vintage dish-ware, breakfast offerings included a generous grain bowl with quinoa, greens, and roasted vegetables, a tasty omelette with side salad, ham & cheese croissant, and a scrumptious toast with goat cheese, fig jam, and smoked ham. Coffees and Americanos were good. The cafe roasts their own beans. There were also sweet pastries in the display case. I was able to navigate the space in my electric wheelchair so accessible for many users. Seating both inside and outside. A nice addition to the neighborhood and convenient if you're staying at the Omni Shoreham. read more

The owner is welcoming and attentive to the guests. She checked in several times to ensure we had what we needed. I had the Shashuka with a side of smoked salmon. It was good and filling. Great for vegetarians. My friend had the spinach and goat cheese omelette. She enjoyed it immensely. On the way out I ordered a mango hot tea. It was flavorful. We stopped here for a late lunch, after walking the National Zoo. Conveniently located directly across Connecticut Ave from the Woodley Park Metro stop. Ordered an Avocado Toast with roasted cherry tomatoes, and a Perfect Breakfast Toast, with avocado, melted cheese, and a delicious fig jam (secret recipe), topped with eggs. No problem changing sunny side up eggs to egg whites for me. Both came with mixed greens salad, and served on perfectly toasted, delicious baguettes. My wife ordered an iced Hibiscus tea; I had a ginger lemon tea. Both wonderful. Great, friendly service, along with the very fresh food. Wish we lived closer than Philadelphia; would definitely come again! read more

Fresh food. Took a table of 8 and was friendly and efficient on a Monday for lunch. Coffee was delicious. Try the salmon tart- it's more like a salmon bagel but on a buttery bread. The salads were freshly made. Really a treat to have friendly efficient service. read more

We were visiting DC from Virginia and looking for breakfast places. This place was absolutely perfect. The food is expertly crafted and the drinks are made with love! They brew their own coffee and you can tell the difference between big coffee houses and this. Our hostess and the owner Kadejha (sorry if I butchered the spelling) was phenomenal. To see a black female owned restaurant be run like a well oiled machine was so refreshing to see. She is pleasant and professional. There wasn't a wait to be seated but the more people that experience this place it will eventually be a line out the door. read more

The perfect addition to this neighborhood! It straddles this line between cafe, bistro, diner and fills a gap in Woodley Park! Open at 7am for excellent coffee (the drip is stellar), fresh baked pastries (still warm) and full breakfast - have had the shakshuka and avocado toast (massive) and both were delicious. I was also coveting the runny eggs on another guest's plate. Staff was so lovely - total pros. At a recent visit we got a green smoothie - off menu - that was just perfect! There are other early morning options within a block but Yours Cafe is in a different class and my go-to from now on. read more

The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance b/n cozy, warm , relaxing music and beautiful decor. We ordered a couple of items from the menu classic flaming tart, lemon chicken salad, Goat cheese omelette and their pistachio croissant . Rich in flavor , tasty and filling and the best coffee in town ! The staff absolutely phenomenal. Friendly, attentive and the owner genuinely passionate about what she does . Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and I especially appreciated that many of the traditional meat dishes use beef rather than pork. As someone who doesn't eat pork, that made it easy to enjoy nearly everything on the table. One of the unexpected highlights was learning more about the culture. Another guest at our table was from Türkiye, and she shared that breakfast is traditionally enjoyed before coffee. Once I knew that, it completely reset my expectations. Instead of wondering where the coffee was, I got to enjoy an amazing, leisurely breakfast first. There was a little confusion at the end about whether coffee was included with our event, but the staff quickly sorted it out, and we finished with Turkish coffee and a piece of Turkish delight. It ended up being the perfect ending to the meal. I also learned that the owners have family roots in Azerbaijan, which makes a lot of sense once you see the menu. While the restaurant describes itself as Mediterranean, the flavors and breakfast traditions are distinctly Turkish and Azerbaijani, and it is wonderfully authentic.
