I was shocked by how filthy it was in this establishment today. We have been here on a few occasions & it has never looked like this. Yogurt & toppings on the floor, dispensers & counter. There were literally three flavored available - all others were out due to low mix. The young lady working was very busy & alone. She said she was waiting for the next employee to start so she could make more yogurt & clean the place up. Think I will not be returning. I don't know how to really rate a yogurt place. I think when its self serve yogurt with so many different toppings, you pretty much are rating yourself. With that being said, I'm pretty awesome at making my own yogurt variations. If you give self serve yogurt spots a bad rating, that means you pretty much are saying you dont know how to serve yogurt. If that's case, I recommend going across the street to Save Mart and buying some Yoplait and putting it in the freezer. read more

I really hope the Yogurt Mill Manager/Owner reads these reviews. STOP having your employees hand out the samples! Just let people get their own like every other self serve place! There isn't really any other complaint I have about this location other than that. Seems clean, nice selection of flavors and toppings, and everything else is what I want out of a fro-yo place, but that one aspect alone really disrupts the flow of the whole place. The line backs up like crazy because employees can't stay behind the counter ringing people up if they are constantly coming around to give samples. read more

Like another yelper mentioned, the samples are given to you by the employees. I don't get that either. Why can't we get our own?! They are lacking in variety as far as flavors because its just your standard chocolate, cookies and cream and chocolate with a variety of different additions to it. Why not throw in coconut or cake batter? I have to say though, we ordered a cookies and cream shake and it was Deelish, with a capital D. If you are craving chocolate, or cookies and cream, this place is a definite go, but if you are looking for the not so sweet flavors, go somewhere else. read more

Been here a couple times, and I really like it! There's usually always new flavors to try and toppings. I wish the place would have been a little bigger, it's always so crowded in there and you have to wait to get your toppings. I absolutely love this place! I love the variety of flavors and toppings they offer.(some are quite unique) You're greeted as soon as you walk in and the customer service is wonderful. I have been here a couple times and have brought my mom on a "mom & daughter date" and have also came with my hubby on our date night. I'm like a kid in a candy store! The vibe is very cool. Although I have not brought my grandkids yet, they are very kid friendly and have kid movies/cartoons on to keep them entertained. The shop is very clean and well maintained. They charge by weight of your treat(s) and do accept credit/debit. I look forward to my next stop at the Yogurt Mill. read more

Me and my family love yogurt mill!! We especially enjoy coming to the self serve location and seeing our favorite worker Cam. She always greets us by name and helps us decide on which flavor to get. The only downfall of this location is that my husband loves the vegan coconut milk flavor but Pelandale never has it. 5 stars for the excellent customer service and having the best tasting yogurt in town. Went there tonight to check out the new Yogurt Mill location. We walk in and were very quickly greeted. The design of the line is really dumb, there are people that are standing in line right in front of all of the machines, I don't like you have to ask the employees to get your sample for you (every other self serve place you get the sample yourself) I don't like there are only 2 different sizes of the bowls, if you just want a small amount of yogurt you have to have a huge bowl!! read more

But now I LOVE the ability to self serve myself! I can pick all the flavors I love and want. Staff is always so nice and welcoming. Only downside is people taking forever to choose what they want. I absolutely hate complaining because I work in the restaurant industry & I know how stressful situations can be. But as a former employee of Yogurt Mill for almost 4 years & I was a shift lead for my last year there...I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the customer service that was given to me & my family at the Pelandale location yesterday evening. I do not live in town anymore so when I come to visit my family we try to make the most out of it. Yesterday was a rough day for our family as we had to lay out grandfather to rest. His favorite thing in the world was ice cream so we decided to honor him by going out for frozen yogurt instead of ice cream. Although my little sister wanted cold stone very badly, we chose YM because of course we still LOVE that place! Well to my surprise we were treated as if we were just "another customer". Now granted, it did start to get a little busy in there, however, I know what YM "busy" is & it was not as crazy as it can actually get. We bought almost $60 worth of yogurt but did not realize that you had changed your loyalty rewards program because as I've mentioned before I do not live in town anymore, therefore when I asked her to look up my number (as I didn't have my card on me) the employee said it changed & we would have to download the app. So as I was asking her questions about it so we could use this purchase towards the rewards (since it was a big order) my dad handed her his card & she swiped it then closed out our order before I could even download the app for the rewards. Then proceeded to tell us this purchase would not count because there was no way of adding it to it. Ok, fine we dropped it & went to enjoy our yogurt after tipping cash to them as well (even though it's self serve...but we understand that tips are much appreciated). However, a few minutes later my sister & I came back up to ask for a few cups of water, and the same employee said "oh, we are all out of water cups" so I stood there & said "ok, and?" But she walked away to do other tasks. That's when I got very upset but I did not want to cause a scene so I went & sat down with my family. I hate to complain but my point in this review is I feel like YM has completely lost their core value of "customer service". I know that if that would have been me working a few years ago & we had been out of water cups, I would have came up with a different solution like use the 16oz shake cups for water. And maybe that employee did not know to do that, but that's where YM failed to train their employees to come up with solutions to easily fixed problems as they used to teach us to always make the customer happy. We were not impressed & not happy with our customer service. I know that it won't matter if this company were to lose our business as you have enough customers, but for someone who has worked for the company & stayed a loyal customer even after leaving, I was extremely disappointed & will not be returning for a while. Please get back to your core values & go above & beyond for your customers! They appreciate it & will show you that appreciation in return! read more

I have visited this particular location twice. The first time the line was out the door and moving extremely slowly. The place is cute, but dirty...and this shocked me. The other two yogurt mill locations are usually very prompt and clean. The second time was WORSE! Many of the flavors were out.. And the toppings were ALL over the floor. The little girl in front of us dropped her entire ice cream all over the floor (including her toppings) and when her father told the yogurt mill employee she didn't really seem to care. She continued to give the free samples to people standing in line. The setup in this location is poor. The line moves VERY slowly and the ice cream is always out. Yogurt mill is one of my favorite places in town but we literally has to walk out because as we started looking around at how dirty the floor was and how the employees didn't seem to care much, we couldn't even enjoy our ice cream. In the future, I will stick to the yogurt mill on Oakdale. My recommendation for this location is to get a better layout and instead of giving out free samples, make sure that your ice cream is in stock at all times and keep your "topping station" CLEAN! read more

Good location, my family and I get yogurt weekly. Love the rewards programs. My only complaint, one night they offered customers to bring their dogs. The dogs were very cute! But I am allergic to dogs, also the shop smelled of wet dogs. So of course we did not stay. I think it was a great idea but maybe become a little more creative with the event. I also love the family night on Tuesday's with coming in your pajamas and receiving a discount if you showed up in pajamas!! read more

This location is my favorite! They have the best staff & it's kept so clean! I have a child with Autism & he has sensory issues in crowded establishments. Yogurt Mill on Pelandale provides an atmosphere that allows him to be entertained & not focus on the many people. He loves to draw on the wall & watch a movie while he eats his "froyo". I love the fact that they have self-serve & lots of indoor seating. My friends & I were able to go on a day when it wasn't too busy & we got to sit in the back room & catch up without feeling rushed or being disturbed. The prices are great, I did however feel the staff was lacking... The girl at the counter didn't say anything..... No, "hello" when we walked in & when I went to pay for my cup of yogurt all she said was the price- literally NOTHING else. She just had a blank look on her face. She wasn't necessarily rude, but she wasn't friendly or welcoming by any means. She really seemed as though she would just rather be ANY other place but there. It was actually kind of uncomfortable. I didn't really like that. For that reason I'll probably just stick to the oakdale road location from here on out. read more
